Species: Anomalies

Anomalies are beings that should not exist. They are also known as enigmas, oddities, paradoxes. Hybrids fall under the category of anomaly. They should not have been created, as their creation is generally impossible. Most often than not, not even the deities know what is responsible for them existing. Other entities, including other non humans, are naturally drawn to anomalies.

[x] 'Anomalies' coined by Tearzah.

Species: Echidnas

Echidnas are known as the mothers of monsters. They are able to turn other entities into monsters, in addition to being able to produce monsters. There also exist variants of echidna that are able to produce demons, angels, fae, even humans, or any form of being. They may also be able to produce new forms of beings that previously did not exist, creating new monsters and undiscovered species. The first creature an ever echidna produces will always be an echidna, like themselves. Despite their snakelike origins, echidnas are, most of then not, relatively humanoid in appearance and usually resemble humans. Most are born with a strong motherly instinct.

Species: Bubble tea

Bubble tea have little relation to the actual drink, despite their name. They are often considered a type of fae, but it is unknown if they truly are fae. They are typically humanoid in appearance and have pastel or berry-colored skin. It can be very colorful. Their skin is often soft, clear, and without imperfection. The only hair that grows is on their heads. Their build is naturally muscular and lean. They often have a forehead marking, such as a heart or a star. Their hair is typically very fluffy. They also usually possess an ahoge or a handful of hair that hangs down into their face. They can sometimes have horns and other projections, such as multiple antennae. They can also possess a tail that ends in a heart-shaped point. Their eyes tend to be wide and are often marked in a way that gives the impression that they are perpetually wearing eyeliner. Their pupils can naturally be different shapes as well, such as hearts or diamonds. Sharp, pointed nails are a trait that's typically found in the species.

Species: Nightopians

Image

A Nightopian is a resident creature of the Night Dimension who have cone shaped heads, red cheeks, and pink wings. They typically have a halo around their head.

"Nightopians are carefree, happy inhabitants of Nightopia. They’re born every time balls of light (called Ideya) collide. The sole reason for their existence is to have fun. Because they are incapable of doing anything else, they have no need to work together or to cooperate towards a common goal. As a result, they have no leader, and no language. What they do have, is the ability to see the consciousness of each visitor (dreamers from our world), through Ideya. When visitors arrive, the Nightopians can see their consciousness and recreate the happy world that is hidden deep inside. They’re why Nightopians, who don’t have the capacity for intelligent thought, can sing, dance, and even go fishing."

Item: Ideya

Image

Ideya (pronounced ih-dee-yah) are colored, crystalline orbs representing dream energy. The Nightmarens steal this energy from Visitors to further their goal of destroying Nightopia. Each time an Ideya is stolen, Nightopia disappears bit by bit. Ideya represents the Visitor's consciousness in the Night Dimension. Every dreamer possesses five of them. Although it is often stolen by Nightmarens on the way to the Night Dimension. The name is a play on the word idea.

World: Nightmare

Image

Nightmare is a place in the Night Dimension where Visitors go when they are having a nightmare. Wizeman the Wicked is the king of nightmares, having been the one who created it and its inhabitants, the Nightmarens. World: Dream

A dream is a world created by Nightopia in the Night Dimension. A dream is also created by a Visitor's heart and is where a Visitor's Ideya lies.

Image
An example of a dream, Spring Valley, also called The Ideal. This dream world was created from the ideal existence of a paternal figure in the Visitor's consciousness. It is set in a mountainous region rich in water and vegetation. Sparkling water from the melted snow in the mountain flows through the low points.

World: Dream Gate

Image

The Dream Gate is the main hub area for dreams. From here, a number of dreams can be accessed through various gates. It appears as a large island floating in a night sky over what appear to be storm clouds. It also contains an ornate fountain where Dream Drops are stored as Visitors find them. This is the only place where Awakers and Nightmarens cannot come after Visitors.

Species: Nightmarens

Nightmarens are the residents of Nightmare and creations of Wizeman. As such, they are generally accepted to be evil, with the notable exception of a few individuals. All nightmarens are genderless.

Nightmaren are the product of Wizeman the Wicked, created from his own twisted ideas. They serve the purpose of stealing Ideya and destroying Nightopia, plunging it into pure Nightmare. There are three Classification of Nightmaren with their own purposes.

Image

Common Nightmaren, Third Levels, steal all of the Ideya except for the red ones. They steal Ideya through nightmares, warping dreams into horrors and forcing Visitors to abandon them. An important Third Level Nightmaren, called Goodles, fly around the worlds and carry keys that open cages and gates.

Second Level Nightmaren are the "bosses". They are more intelligent then Third Levels and are placed in Visitor's dreams to hold the collected Ideya and stop anyone who tries to take them as well as control the Nightmaren in that dream. They are capable of creating their own worlds.

The First Level Nightmarens are the most powerful of Nightmaren. Created to be the commanders of all other Nightmaren and Wizeman's "right hand men" they are the only Nightmaren capable of stealing Red Ideya from Visitors, a rare occurance.

Species: Mepians

Image

A Mepian is a Nightopian that has some Nightmaren parts. A Mepian is created when a Nightopian and Nightmaren breed, and the Nightopian lays an egg. The parts are split up into head, arms, legs, body, and back. There can be many different combinations and hybrids that can be created. However, a Nightopian that comes out with all Nightmaren parts is now a Nightmaren, or a really bad Nightopian. This Nightmaren will start eating Nightopians.

World: Nightopian Garden

Image

The Nightopian Garden is a place where Nightopians, Nightmarens, and Mepians alike can be sent to be raised. It is similar to the Chao Garden present in Sonic Adventure 1 & 2. Nightopians' health can be recovered by feeding them a blue chip, while Nightmarens are fed with Nightopians. There is a circular grassy area in the garden by the doors where a Nightopian can be brought to rest, during which they will not consume any health points. Nightmarens, unlike Nightopians, do not lay eggs, cannot be picked up, and will destroy any items in the garden.

Image

Changes in the garden's landscape may occur, based on what dreams a Visitor visits the most. If there are more Nightmarens than Nightopians, the garden will look like Nightmare. If there are more Nightopians, the garden will look like Nightopia. In addition to this, weather link may be enabled to change the weather in the garden, affecting the behavior of the inhabitants.

Species: Superpians

Image

A Superpian, or King Pian, is created when a child Pian of two parent Mepians with different parts is produced. The Superpian has a pink body, a King like crown on its head, and wings that change colors. A Superpian cannot be killed by Nightmaren. They seek out towers to build, a task that regular Nightopians often help them with.

Item: Dream Drop

A Dream Drop is a mysterious water drop found throughout the Night Dimension, the Dream Gate, and Nightopia. The collected drops are stored in the fountain at the center of the Dream Gate's courtyard. When all 60 are acquired, then the water in the fountain turns multi-colored.
