Bolt's few things

Name: Vánagandr Fenrir

Gender: Female

Race: Human like; Magician when asked; Supernatural in basis

Appearance: Around five foot two, Fenrir is not an especially tall person. She is almost constantly seen wearing a wide brimmed hat, conical in the middle and bent back at the top, looking much like a witch's hat, quite rough and fairly old looking with a simple black cloak/dress with little bits of white trim. She is rather thin and unassuming. Her long, bright pink hair goes down to her back. Similarly, one eye, the left, matches it in color while the right is a deep purple. Both seem to glow and do not appear to be natural colors. She wears boots and pants, and carries around two large tomes, one of which seems to vanish when not observed even for small periods of time.

Abilities: Fenrir specializes in magic, often to the expense of other skills, even simple ones, and her physical health. As a side effect, she is a potent mage, and with time and planning can solve many things, if not always the most quickly or effectively. Her knowledge on the subject is near encyclopedic, and she can create new spells in a process similar to what one would expect scientific abilities. In fact, she treats it much like a science, eternally experimenting and manipulating what she knows. Her only other especially noteworthy ability ability is the power to read anything written, coherent or not. It is not magical and tied into her being, but is only effective on languages. This includes magic, but lacks direct application outside of reading and understanding. If meaning exists behind it, law, order, or structure in some sense, and it is written, she can understand it perfectly at a glance. This does not carry to speech, though she has many languages learned.

Personality: Fenrir is difficult to read, as she eternally speaks almost too quickly to pick out gaps and changes subjects and thoughts quickly. She acts quite casual around anyone she feels treats her so, often talking about odd things, some pointless and some of varying importance. Among those who look down upon her, however, her tone quickly loses the polite, if casual, tone she keeps and she will rather quickly return the sentiment. Slow to anger normally and ever curious, Fenrir isn't that hard to get along with if treated respectfully, though she will ask odd questions, at times attempting to disprove someone to them purely because she likes to question things.

History: Fenrir showed up one day without warning. She moved fairly quickly to get what she considered necessary, and adjusted without missing a beat. She rarely speaks in detail of her home prior to appearing, only stating she had a rather poor power compared to most and that she is used to deities and supernatural beings being common, if stronger than most she has met.

Name: Aggrex Destro

Gender: Unknown

Race: Unknown

Appearance: Aggrex Destro is a humanoid being completely covered in what looks to be an insect like fully body black armor. A thick black oil-like substance leaks out of every joint and break, and a strange orange glow can be seen under it for the few moments now and then it is uncovered. It carries a massive black and orange blade from which a bright, glowing orange flows down from the tip and into the tilt. Aggrex stands seven foot three and has an odd, bestial stance, slouched over and forward, arms often hanging mostly limp and standing left forward more often the converse.

Abilities: Aggrex demonstrates no magical power in any form, but what is lacked in magic is made up for in raw physical potential. The armor cover its body is impervious to many assaults, shrugging off heat and cold alike, and seeming to be immune to electrical currents as well, any charges arcing around and grounding quickly. While not immune to physical force, blades struggle to penetrate via slashing due to the tough material that makes it and both blades and spears struggle to penetrate due to the thickness and oil coating it sticking to and gumming over the edges and points. Blunt weapons and raw brute force fare better, though sticking is always a risk in areas covered in oil. Cracks in the armor begin to leak oil as well, and given time seem to organically heal. The being's blade is eight feet long and two across, a massive, rough greatsword. It is frequently carried or drug by the right hand, and while not indestructible, it is both highly durable and self-repairing as well. Aggrex is, despite appearing to move at normal speeds most of the time, extremely fast and strong when engaged, capable of blindingly fast single strikes with only one arm, and consistent attacks with both. Technique appears to be considered secondary if at all, as sheer crushing blows are greatly favored to precise strikes. Additionally, Aggrex appears to feel no pain.

Personality: Aggrex does not speak much if any normally, the only consistent sounds being hissing and the occasional cold, unnatural laugh that would put an experienced warrior on edge. Aggrex has no qualms fighting anything that presents itself an an enemy, handling it with the same brutal efficiency regardless of species, age, gender, or any other factors. In the event one gets it to speak, Aggrex speaks in the same straightforward, head-on manner as it fights. Aggrex is not incapable of reason, logic, or thought, yet seems primarily to act on instinct and natural response.

History: As Aggrex simply appeared without warning and is refuses to talk about the past, its history is unknown.

Notes: The armor appears to be fused with the body below in some way, assuming there is a body to begin with. It moves as one's own skin would and can not be removed.

Name: Eltra Witherbane

Gender: Plant, but typically prefers male

Race: Floran

Appearance: Image

Eltra is a rather normal Floran, if appearing older than most. He appears to look in his later thirties.

Abilities: Eltra lacks magic of any form, however he is quite practiced in more physical mediums. He prefers close range weapons and bows to guns, but will make use of anything he can reasonably use. He has a few skills scattered about, ranging from blacksmithing to fighting to some basic first aid to making more advanced technical objects. He also plays a mean ocarina and does so frequently.

Personality: Eltra is a fairly quiet person, often saying nothing until spoken to as he goes about his day. He has a bit of a short temper, especially for what he perceives as "stupid people who can't work and never be quiet". Beyond that, despite his normal quiet, he can be quite talkative to those he enjoys the company of, and has at least a fair grasp on the way the world generally works. If one can get past his oft short responses and rough personality, he can be quite sociable, though is rarely the one to start conversations.

History: Eltra doesn't talk much about his youth, though the rest of his life is more easily known. He served as a blacksmith for some time before he made a ship and began to wander the stars. During that time, he continued his trade while picking up a few more. He served a mercenary for a little while, and made a home of several planets before, in his words "Meteorsss fell on Meteor Planet and destroyed bassse. Only Ax'sss room sssurvived." Eventually, he crash landed the ship on a planet. It was there he was first struck by strangeness, and found himself in a massive jungle world. He eventually met Vineblade and stayed with her. Quite a while of normal life passed and he found himself pulled to Pax. He has, since, been staying around the temple until he finds a better plan.

Name: Zantestu Ibuki

Gender: Male

Race: Oni

Appearance: Zantestu is a rather good example of an oni. Bright red skin, deep black hair tied into a loose pony tail, a semi-kept slightly-past-stubble beard, three horns sticking out of his head in a triangle shape centered about his forehead, highly muscular six-five body, and more than a few scars on his chest. Despite constantly carrying around a gourd to drink from normally, he walks around with only yellow and black striped undergarments. A large metal studded club is often drug about by a strap around his wrist.

Abilities: As an Oni, Zantestu possesses immense physical strength that grows as he drinks more, an activity he constantly does. He can handle many poisons without issue, eat and drink heavily, and possesses a good sense of character. Notably, he displays extremely efficient control over earth and all things associated with it: Stone, metal, magma, even collecting minute amounts of various substances and forcing them into a single solid form, including creation of gemstones. This is not a magical power, rather, it is an innate ability he was born with. His skill at it is highly dependent on his level of drunkenness. Lastly, as an Oni, he is all but immune to alcohol poisoning.

Personality: An extremely happy-go-lucky and lighthearted person, Zantestu is always looking for a good time. He adores parties, adores drinking, and enjoys competitions with others. He is rarely seen worried or serious for long, though will frequently underestimate his strength and accidentally knock people around with well intentioned slaps on the back. He expresses extreme displeasure with potentially becoming sober, claiming he can get a mean streak when he doesn't drink for too long. How much truth there is to it is hard to tell.

History: He used to be a wanderer traveling between parties before showing up in Pax. Since then, he has made a gathering hall at Shiranui's shrine that he lives in.

-----------------------------------

Name: Inabi Hel

Gender: Female

Race: Undead Rabbit Youkai

Appearance: In her resting state, Inabi Hel appears as a completely cleaned rabbit skeleton laying in the shape of a rabbit's body. As she wakes up, blue lighting forms in the eyesocket as the eye before connecting bones like joints.

In her humanoid form, she appears quite different. She looks primarily like a human roughly twenty years old; however the flesh on her left hand is completely missing, simply bone held together by the lightning, her right eye is light from within by it, and her lower left ribs can be seen, as the chest area around is missing skin and muscle. A large rabbit skull sits on her head with fleshy ears sticking out, and a spine travels down her back, ribs wrapping around her chest as a sort of armor looking thing.

Abilities: Inabi Hel possesses good hearing and strong legs, along with an inability to be killed by bladed weapons and such through conventional means. In humanoid form, it is much more resistant to damage, moves quickly, often with jumps, and possesses notable strength and durability. In addition, she has power over souls, able to move them, sense them, and even change the bodies they rest in, functionally switching two people, or putting someone into a different form. More powers exist but have yet to be realized.

Personality: Inabi Hel is a very simple being, as it was originally a rabbit. It can be simple minded, fall for obvious tricks, and will often become friendly just when offered food, though it can also be randomly violent or territorial to strange things.

History: Inabi Hel is the pet of Fenrir, though could easily leave any time.

Name: Zerexe Verion

Gender: Female

Race: Unknown; Appears human-like

Appearance: Image Left

Zerexe is a 6'3" human looking woman in a black suit of armor, golden "trimming", with bright golden hair tied into two tails that often seems to be floating in place, which is also seemingly located on the shoulders and around the wrists. A red sash is tied around the waist of the armor, and a large necklace of orange spherical objects and teeth is worn around the neck and edges of shoulders, with golden flame designs around the waist and knees. Her armor opens under the neck and splits to the side, just covering a bit over half of her breasts, then remaining open as it slowly closes at the base of the rib cage. Zerexe has odd black eyes with white vertical slits. Zerexe carries a large golden spiked club, gauntlets with horns sticking out of the side, and a golden bow with a seemingly endless supply of arrows.

Abilities: Zerexe has numerous traits which make her a dangerous foe. She generates and controls the target of potent lightning bolts, something which does not seem to bother her. She wields highly impressive physical strength, and has proven able to casually uproot and sling about full sized trees with no issue, as well as massive stones five times her own size, in addition to crushing said stone to dust with one hit from her hand, leading one to question why she is armed at all; however, she has displayed extreme proficiency with her weapons of choice, all of which appear to be similarly lightning themed. Beyond pure offense, she has proven highly durable, easily withstanding the destruction her body can create, on top of being more than up for the task of fighting any others. Her arms and legs occasionally take an odd purple glow; during this time, they display substantially improved durability even compared to her natural state. As her emotions rise, she acquires the ability to unleash highly destructive blasts form her mouth and arms, along with a small, slowly moving orb, which detonates with extreme force and size; trees and buildings are effortlessly blasted away, to say nothing of any unlucky people to be caught in the explosion. Doing this tires and drains her, often dropping her emotional level. She also possesses an almost impossibly loud voice, her screams and roars able to be heard over miles. Lastly, she has, in times of crisis or need, displayed the ability to change her form. Her body takes an odd purple tint, including the armor, and a black mist begins leaking from her body, often making clouds along the ground or air. These mists and clouds carry a virus referred to as the Frenzy Virus, which is also carried by any blow of hers that pierces the skin. In this state, her strength, speed, and durability all skyrocket. Bladed and blunt weapons alike harmlessly grave off her body, even exposed skin, elements fail to harm her, toxins of all forms become useless, traps fail to contain her for more than a second, anesthesia and other drugs to force unconsciousness fail utterly, and even arrows and bullets bounce harmlessly off her and much more harmfully back at the shooter. This state is known as an Apexed state, and requires very special tools to handle.

Personality: Zerexe is a highly destructive and chaotic person, possessing a barely restrained constant seething fury no matter what is going on. Even when calmed and under control, she is rarely far from snapping and rampaging about with little care what she destroys. As such, being around her, even when calm, is an unsettling affair which would put most on edge and many to fear for their health. This, however, is a bad thing, as she is annoyed by her inability to control her anger, and in reminding her of it often will only start a loop where she is annoyed by her lack of control, angered by her annoyance, and further annoyed by her lack of control. This can produce what is known as a "rage spiral", and only her physical exhaustion stops it. When calmed, even though she is imposing and constantly looks to be about to snap into a rage, she attempts to be civil, if a bit rough and crude.

History: All that is known is that she has traveled with Aggrex and two others for many years. Everything else, from her youth to why she is so strong and enraged, is a mystery she refuses to tell.

Name: Xola Mooneater

Gender: Plant, prefers female, 'opportunistic'

Race: Floran

Appearance: Image

Xola is a relatively active Floran standing about 7'4", with purple 'skin' and yellow leaves, with cyan 'hair' leaves under a deep purple wig with horns sticking out of it, dressed in a mostly grey sleeveless shirt and matching pants, with a well worn yellow cape on her back. She doesn't like taking off her wig, and while she admits it's not her natural 'hair', she is quite attached to it for no exactly determinable reason, citing things like "It looksss tough!"

Abilities: Xola is a skilled hunter, if lazier than she should be, who claims to specialize in 'improve weaponry'. What this effectively means is that while she carries around any nice weapons she finds, she will use absolutely anything if she thinks it can even remotely be used to fight. She is a surprisingly skilled programmer and fluent in machine code and binary, as she is able to read it as one might a book, and has made her own small computer out of scavenged and reserve engineered parts; while not the most powerful, it is small enough to carry with her and quite modular, often used to mess with other programs and systems when travelling. In addition, she has respectable skill with a variety of musical instruments, in skills ranging from classical to jazz to rock to metal to using the weapon to smack someone upside the head until they pass out.

Personality: Xola Mooneater is a very subdued person...Floran most of the time, especially for the standards of her kind. That is not to say she doesn't get enthusiastic; on the contrary, she can be downright zealous if the mood strikes her. She is somewhat less than predictable, occasionally changing moods suddenly and sharply. She adores exploration and likes to meet new people, though she can be closed to new people until she knows them. Once one is close, she opens up quickly and speaks her mind simply and bluntly, sometimes even if she should not or if tact is required, and is quite loyal to those she likes. Sarcasm and snark dripping forth the moment she feels the urge, however, should always be expected.

History: Xola Mooneater is the offspring of a space-faring Floran and as such grew up around space and high tech things. She learned to at least behave when around most other species in neutral ground, though she has picked off more than a few who wronged her, at least in her mind, the moment they left. While she may not say the most of her past, she has been everything from a merchant to a mercenary to a pirate to a castaway to an explorer-for-hire.

Bolt's few things

#7

Post by BoltAscendent » Mon Sep 28, 2015 4:14 pm

Name: (Current) Makalia (May change to whim, along with many things)

Gender: (Currently) Female (Subject to whim)

Race: A "Death"/Death of All

Appearance: Currently, a young woman with black hair, milky grey eyes, a heavy black cloak, manacles broken off at the third link, heavy chains around her body, and always carrying a large tome somewhere on her. She looks, and to a lesser extent smells, dead: Exsanguinated skin, off black hair that lacks softness, etc. (subject to whim)

Abilities: She has a positively phenomenal leaning rate, able to master new skills in less than a minute often, along with extreme martial prowess, absurd reflexes, extreme speed, and the ability to make bodies out of a black smoke. She can not be killed completely, as she will reform from any damage in time, and can summon a scythe claimed to 'be able to cut sunlight'. Most difficultly to handle of all, she is evidently impossible to beat in any form of 'contest' or 'game' without trying to lose, something she calls a natural part of being a 'Death'. She is able to erase things form existence without movement and can pull things to a 'non-space' that doesn't exist, where things to be erased are kept. If one heeds her warnings, it is a safe place, if uncomfortable, and she can pull things back out at will.

Personality: Makalia is an odd case, extremely skilled but passive, preferring to do as little work as possible in most situations. Normally, she drinks tea, watches people, and occasionally takes an action to whatever her odd goals are. She has a professed fondness for life and desire to see it thrive. When provoked to action, she is quick, efficient, and, after the guaranteed warning to stop making her have to act, merciless. While normally kind, she fails to grasp many simple things and struggles to accurately look like a mortal in actions, often being slightly off. She has a very macabre sense of humor, fittingly enough, and is protective of those she develops fondnesses for, though she admits to everyone having their time, and while she might be able to stall it a bit, eventually she has to let it happen. She adores games and will often try to level her unfair playing field for them.

History: Makalia came into being the moment existence did. She has lurked and watched since, cleaning failed or used up worlds and universes, albeit with expressed disinterest in doing so. Her ultimate job is erase herself from existence and thereby remove existence itself from existing. She spends a lot of time trying to get out of her job, something she says is also part of said job.

Additional notes: 'Deaths' are being associated with the end of a particular thing. Often somewhat uncomfortable around their own kind, they can range from civil people just doing their jobs to mindless forces of action to cowards to aggressive 'workaholics' and everything between. They are, ultimately, a people themselves, albeit ones who are almost invariably ancient, tied to the life of their concept, and normally trying to not do their job other than to keep things running smoothly. Deaths lack a mind, a soul, and even a conventional body, operating without energy, food, or any ability to sense them other than a potential faint void where they are. They are, ultimately, sentient forces of non-existence and erasing them, via any means, erases their 'binding', be it a planet, a concept, a star, a universe, a rule of nature, a type of people, a race, or existence itself. They have an unspoken 'pecking order', and will naturally default to following the wishes of stronger Deaths in a conflict of interest.

Name: Kalma

Gender: Female

Race: A "Death"/Unbound

Appearance: Kalma looks about 15, normally covered in a heavy cloak like her 'mother'. She only has one eye, the right, which is milky grey, almost covered in something akin to a cataract and likely completely non-functional for a living person. Her left eye is missing, only an empty socket with no eyelid. Her neck has heavy, thick stitches holding it together. Her mouth is stitched shut, and the stitches wrap all the way around her head. When she speaks, the stitches move and stretch, while still pulling her lips in. She has somewhat long blonde hair. Under her robe, she's stitched together: arms, torso, up her stomach, legs in multiple places, the middle of her feet, and a slash up her back. She is covered in a thin but durable black outfit across her torso, opening up at her abdomen, leaving her stomach and most of her back open as her sides are covered, then closing at the bottom of her ribs and opening back up to go around her arms above her chest. Her skin appears exsanguinated and she is eternally cold. When her cloak's hood is up, no form of sense can detect the insides and her face and neck are covered in shadow, leaving only her one eye visible as a glowing green spot. She has a faint scent of death and decay.

Abilities: As per all Deaths, she has phenomenal learning rate, memory, and physical combat ability: speed, reflexes, strength, skill with her natural weapon, as well as effective immunity to long term destruction and outright immunity to minor blows. She lacks any sense of pain and will continue to act with only minor inconvenience until structural damage is too severe to move correctly. Unlike others, she lacks a binding concept. While this means she has no requirements to do anything at all, she lacks the destructive power that comes from a binding and power required to ensure the task is dealt with. Essentially, while she can do whatever she pleases, she is much weaker than even weak Deaths, though this does not mean she should be underestimated if provoked. While less effective than her 'mother''s ability to always win things passively, she can still skew things very heavily in her favor actively on a cosmic level. She has not realized this, yet, and so it is only used by accident or extreme desperation.

Notable quirks: Kalma in particular has a distinct and often very alarming the first time it is witnessed uncontrollable quirk. From time to time, the stitches that cross her mouth snap and retreat into her body. Shortly after, she begins throwing up a red and black fluid, rotting blood, soon accompanied by partially decayed organs, muscles, and even bones. These happen consistently yet randomly, sometimes several times in succession. She displayed markedly improved physical well being after, paradoxically enough.

Personality: Kalma is an odd woman, exceptionally young and still learning. She tries to be friendly and caring but often finds herself missing vital information anyone else would have learned, and even lacks many natural things a normal person would know naturally. In general, she is always trying to learn, help, and fit in while being alien enough at times to remind people how truly inhuman she is, despite her looks. She is non-aggressive unless her or her 'family' is attacked, at which time she will defend herself. As she lacks understanding of many things, race, status, age, and sex mean nothing to her. She will greet each new person as enthusiastically as the last.

History: Kalma is the 'child' of Makalia, who took two bodies from their graves, removed that with was rotten beyond saving, and replaced it with her own body. Once stable and put together, she gave them her eyes, thus giving them her 'unspark' of 'unlife'. The learned from what she did with her, and are now their own people. She considers her 'father' to be the naleen Midnight Fang, who had no part in her creation directly, but gave the idea to Makalia. She considers any of his ever growing brood her siblings.

Additional notes: 'Deaths' are being associated with the end of a particular thing. Often somewhat uncomfortable around their own kind, they can range from civil people just doing their jobs to mindless forces of action to cowards to aggressive 'workaholics' and everything between. Race: A "Death"/Unbound

Appearance: Grim rarely takes his hood down, leaving only the information gained about his shadowed face. He stands about 6'2" and has a glowing green circle for his left eye. He appears rather strong, though no skin is revealed. His cloak is heavy and solid black.

Name: Valine the Untouchable

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Occuption: Pirate

Appearance: Valine appears to be a mostly normal human. She stands around 5'10" with long black hair tied back roughly and wears a number of short and normally torn or ripped sleeved shirts, usually cropped around the mid ribs, and shorts or pants as need be, often worn heavily, with boots. She is missing her right eye and wears a simple black eyepatch over it, reversible to show a skull and crossbones. Her left is a deep purple color with a slightly jagged iris. Her arms show signs of minor burns and cuts long past and her right eye has a large scar across it and much of her face. She tends to lug around a black anchor half her size and is sometimes seen with a red and gold coat as large as she is, made for the mountain of a man she called her captain. She is fairly muscular and has a slightly above average build she isn't against showing off.

Abilities: Valine lives up to her name and title "the Untouchable". Besides her fairly above average, though certainly human, abilities, Valine seems to produce a small field around her which absolutely nothing can pass under normal conditions, and few under special. Blades glance away, bullets reflect like two like poled magnets, giant beasts fail to touch her, flames wash harmlessly around her. This does not mean she can not be harmed indirectly, however. High momentum and force objects can still impart some of their force onto her as they deflect, pushing her around as they would anything else, though as it pushes her entire body it is a difficult method for most to use. She is all but immune to crushing, applying force to both things pressing around her without limit and hard to harm even when pushed around, as she will apply force to her landing point as well. Her ability does have a massive weakness, however. Should she be submerged in more than a moderately small amount of water, her ability cuts off and her natural, innate, and unpowered physical abilities suffer, leaving her unable to swim and struggling to even move around when in as little as waist high water. Objects with the energy of the sea apply this as well, if less effectively, and certain mental and spiritual forces can weaken her repulsion. She struggles to turn it completely off as well, leaving her at times unable to do as she pleases. Besides this, she is above average in durability and carries around a black anchor with no apparent issue, as well as proving able to use it as a weapon. She is a skilled marksman and knows her way around a ship, as well as knowing how to navigate well, if no longer well due to changed skies. She is also a fairly solid leader and knows how to force people to work together and glue them into a functioning force.

Personality: Valine is a somewhat odd person. She understands civility and social interactions, yet often chooses to cut through it and maintains a rough around the edges, blunt attitude. She believes that things are fair game to take if you can get away with them and has few qualms stealing everything that isn't nailed down, and some that are, by stealth, force, or manipulation, as a pirate would. She cares about her crew and family...at least those she actually considers family, and as long as they do as they should. She dislikes slackers and traitors, those who sell out and rob their own by one way or another. As a pirate from three, she tends to act, think, plan, and moral like a pirate. While she is tricky to get to trust people, she is loyal to them after, but broken trust is broken forever.

History: Valine was found by pirates adrift when she was three. She was picked up by them and raised as a member of the crew. At some point, she lost them and set out again on her own. She comes form a world which is mostly ocean, making her weakness a massive one.
My life is just a long series of "it seemed like a good idea at the time" strung together.
