((Well after a good think, I've decided to pick up Oblivion again after a long time and do a diary similar to what Swix is doing. It looks fun! It was mostly a toss up between Fallout 3 and Oblivion, but I decided on Oblivion because I've not played it in a while, and hopefully the things I didn't like about it (mostly how empty the world felt) can be fixed with mods. I did think about playing Far Cry 2, but whilst it's a sandbox type game, it's not really free enough for something like this.
So watch this space! I'll list any mods I am using as well, if people are interested in that sorta thing too. I'm installing the thing now, but I'll be sure to start posting real soon.))

The Diary Of Allon
Day 01:
Well today has been an... exciting day. I woke up in a cell. A small, dirty cell and with no recollection of the events leading up to this predicament. Hell, it even took me a few minutes to remember who I was! Well immediately I set to trying to find an escape route, some way out of the damned thing, and that's when someone began speaking to me. A Dark Elf I think, blasted creature. Decided to try to taunt me with how I was trapped, and how I was going to die in that cell. Not bloody likely.
And then something odd happened, and I mean really odd. Guards walked into my cell, and lo and behold the Emperor was standing before me! Not only that but the man recognised me. After he was done his guards opened a secret passage under the cells bed and waltzed right out of there! Well of course I was quick to follow, but I made sure to keep to the shadows, just in case.
It was a good thing I did hang back, the lot of them were pounced on by a bunch of attackers, heavily armed ones at that. The captain was killed. I don't know who they were, or why they were doing this but I sure as hell didn't care to find out the hard way. Still, couldn't let good equipment go to waste...
Of course as soon as I was about to loot the nearest body, a guard tells me to stay put! Ye gods, these guys were good. Not that I was planning on listening to them of course.
Typically, they locked the door behind them. No matter, another secret passage has opened up via a crumbled down wall. After taking care of a pack of large rats I continued to scavenge who I could. Ended up taking the equipment of some poor sod whos bones had been picked clean. Hopefully this armour would protect me better then it protected it previous owner. After hacking my way though several tunnels of rats and a zombie I came across a door with quite a few skulls hanging in front of it. Perfectly safe, I'm sure.
As I suspected, I came across Goblins, and as such killed some Goblins. Of course, those ones I didn't kill were squashed or smashed by their own traps, idiot green skins. They were short work however, and before long I was back on track... so were the guards however. After dealing which what I presume was yet another attack, the spotted me and were about to kill me when the Emperor once again stopped them. He spoke to me, mostly about his death. He also asked which sign I was born under. I answered the warrior, not that it matters. I care not for the gods, for they care not about me.
More attacks, more walking. It's not until we reach a dead end where things start getting really hairy for me. I'm told to guard the Emperor. No pressure eh? It gets better, I'm given the Amulet of Kings and told to give it to some bloke named Jauffre, after which an assassin bursts from the wall and cuts the Emperor down! Fan-bloody-tastic!
So now I'm on a quest as it were to deliver this bloody amulet. I still don't know how I ended up a prisoner, an Imperial prison no less, when only a few days ago I was continuing my normal business as a Tyra Honour Guard! How did I get from a city in Skyrim to... well here?!
I don't know, but I sure as hell would like to know. In the mean time, I need to not die.

((I will be, but my Oblivion is a little broken and I've been a bit too tired after work to fix it lately. I'll give it a go tonight though!))
