Raven didn't move. Instead of hopping backwards or forwards, she instead adopted a cocky pose and grinned at Swix. Simply watching her.

"The real monster here... is racism." Spinner explained, resting a small claw on the shoulder of one of the townsfolk. "Try not to judge me for bein' a giant crab, and I'll try not to judge you for bein' a sausage with limbs."

He looked around, trying to see if he could recognize one individual in the group, but it was no good. For all his talk against racism he couldn't tell these noisy humans apart from each other. Best not let them catch on to that though.

"While I can appreciate yer savin' my carapace, I am a bit curious to know what yer all doin' out here at this pond." He looked around, trying to understand the appeal to humans, who, based on his previous experiences with their kind, tended to hate cold, wet and slimy places.

The townspeople initially pulled away from you when your claw went up, raising their stones in defense. Yet, you had a message. A beautiful message of compassion and tolerance. By the time you finish your first line, all of them have lowered their wrapons, if not dropped them all together.

"It was the first obstacle in the challenge&#33; " One of them eventually says after you had apparently finished. "The challenge to get the scarf&#33;"

"Yeah&#33; It can make anyone like you, just by giving it to them&#33;"

"That is... a rough explaination of it's properties, yes." An older gentleman interrupts. He can't also be on tjis quest can he? The man is far too old for such a thing...

"But we can't get past the stone... It's a puzzle none of us can crack. Could you help us?" Another villager asks, not giving the old man any thought. She takes your small claw her her hands, and gently tries to pull you towards the path and building.

If you want to go, that is.

The townspeople weren't so bad after all, or perhaps Spinner was just very good at pacifying people who were not of the gargantuan serpentine persuasion.

So it seemed they were all here for some mystical 'scarf', but Spinner didn't really get the appeal of it. If you had to give it to somebody to make them like you, wouldn't that mean that you may only get to use it once? Spinner mentally shrugged his confusion off, figuring that it was just his lackluster imagination that failed to see what had clearly captivated these people. In the end it didn't matter whether or not he was interested in it; the townsfolk had helped him, so he was obliged to help them in return.

"I could give it a go, sure." Spinner replied, following after the random female villager.

Swix turned to see Raven staring at her with a big grin on her face, looking cocky, and staying put. Well... much as she was enjoying bouncing around and making random fiery holes in the floor larger, the novelty was starting to wear off.

So she jumped to tile G1, her eyes firmly fixed on the demoness, the four tendrils that came out of her back swaying in a nonexistant breeze.

"Time to stop dancing around" she said, with the twisted smile back on her face "wanna know a secret, Raven?"

[Raven]

"Do you even have to ask?" Raven chuckled. She twirled her torch in her hands, but stayed still.

The villager leads you down a path, around a bend, and to a beat down building on the edge of the pond. Inside the dilapidated old shed is nothing but damaged planks and a large stone set in the floor.

The second letter of you to carry on. The next after that passes. Choose carefully- three wrong will make this pond your home...

Below it, all the letters of the Alphabet are arranged in order.

The townsfolk wait outside, allowing you to take up the room. And take up the room you do... it's quite a tight squeeze. You should be able to fit in well enough to select a letter though.

"Only one of us was able to get through... then the... robot thing. And that mean looking lady..."

"... and then Raven herself graced us with her presence..." One of the men said rather dreamily, earning himself a sharp nudge from the girl who brought you here.

"Maybe you can figure it out?"
