What's everybody up to?

I drop by Pax every once in a while (by which I probably mean infinitely less often than I should ) but it seems like there's not been very much activity so far this year, and there appear to have been no active RPs for more than six months.

Where is everybody? What are you all up to?

Hiya 3kul. I'm still here, no one's ever gotten rid of me that easily XD. CP's around here somewhere too...

I've mostly beet RPING with CP in private since it started going quiet around here but I am around pretty much every day anyway. I've been little scared to post since my phone broke and the temporary replacement sent messages strangely. But I have a new phone now so that's not a problem anymore.

I've also been working on my audio drama properly again, but this time I've been having more help than before.

Also, family has been, well, up and down as it tends to be with mine. My uncle died early last year, my cousin died just before Christmas and my Grandma hasn't got very long to live as she's got lung cancer. But I'm also now an auntie twice over. My sister had my nephew last year and my brother had my niece this year, so that's good.

Don't know if you heard about the pollution cloud that hit the UK last week? I was lucky to be in the Midlands where it was only 'medium' strength but my Dad lives in East Anglia where it was high and it put him in the hospital because it collapsed 50% of his lungs. So... yeah, that was fun.

It's honestly more that we had our own thing going before to address sideplots and... well it's just outlived the others on this site.

So yea, I've had a LOT of stuff going on. I'm going to Portsmouth University to study animation in a few months so that'll be awesome!

The rest is less awesome, and I'm bring down the tone with it here. I might talk about it. Sorry.

I'm still teaching, same high school as when you last saw me and same subjects too (Japanese + English as an Additional Language). It's going alright, but at the same time I'm working there knowing that, at some point in the future, I'm going to have to move to a school closer to the side of town that I actually want to live and work in. If you aren't from Melbourne it's hard to explain, but I live in the eastern suburbs and work in the west - it's about an hour trip to work in the morning and a little less on the way back (since I finish earlier than 9-5 workers).

Sorry to hear about your family Swix, sounds like you've been having it pretty tough. My grandfather had a minor stroke recently but all things considered he was very lucky - some loss of vision and a slightly worse short term memory than before, but aside from that he's quite chipper about the whole thing.

I've got plenty of other real life stuff to talk about I suppose, but it's kind of boring "let's all be mature adults and plan for the future" stuff that I'm pretty sure nobody's too interested in hearing so I'll just skip it

I've remained somewhat active on the Creatures Online forums, though it's mostly just to gripe about how hopeless FC seems to be with general communication and forum management as of late. I'm regularly backing stuff on Kickstarter more than I probably should and securing a steady stream of games for future 3kul to enjoy (even though he probably won't have the time to actually play them). In terms of games that I've recently been playing, I got a big memory card for my 3DS and have been enjoying a lot of stuff on that (they've had some surprisingly good sales on the estore lately so I've bought quite a few digital release only games), I got myself a Wii U a while ago but rather than playing new games on it lately I've been getting back in to Muramasa: The Demon Blade (everything in that game looks so amazing&#33;), and FTL got a huge update lately so I've been killing a lot of crew members and ships on that which is always far more fun than I expect it to be.

I haven't been RPing at all (just in case anybody was worried that I'd gone off to some other RP forum), I just haven't had the mood for it for some reason. Lately I've been thinking it might be fun to try to get back into it but this place has been a bit of a ghost town whenever I've dropped by so I've been putting it off. Am I going to start something M_AG^IC_AL? I wasn't planning on starting anything actually, more hoping to jump in to something, but seeing that some of you are active I've been toying with an idea that will either be good fun or a complete train wreck (most likely both). I might put it up tomorrow if I can finish figuring out how it will all actually work (it involves a lot of letting others dictate your conditions/setting/whatever and trying to roll with it). Or is there some other method aside from forum threads that you now prefer?

I'd love to take part in a forum RP of any sort though. The way my time works it's kinda hard for me to be on at the same times as even anyone in this time zone XD.

No, seriously. I think we stagnated a bit because we all started waiting and it made this place look stagnate, so we waited more to see if someone would do something... and well you see how it is. Having something new should shake us all out of the woodwork.

Plus that's a tantalizing premise&#33; How much control do we have over each other and the world around us? Is it our characters that stumble upon this power, and draw conflict from each other each wanting different things? And if we can make any thing, who's the big bad?
