Cycle 1
A soft female voice plays through the device. "I have taken to using the black satellite to judge the passage of time in this dark world. It's cold, bitterly so. Dark, barren." There is a pause. "Snow everywhere, but not a drop to drink. I would rather not resort to eating snow and ice to get water. No sign of food." There is another, longer pause. "I don't see why I expected anything else, given my history. I will likely be trapped here, taken, again, against my will, until I die of starvation. No signs of wood to burn things." A soft sigh comes through. "I suppose something really does hate me. The last world failed to kill me, and this one...this one likely will. Not even lucky enough to just get a quick, easy death from the elements. It's not cold enough to hurt me, so I will instead dehydrate and starve. Hard to say which will get me first." A much longer pause, covering five seconds. "Probably starvation, since it's more painful and slower...Since arrival, I have met only two beings. One in a fortress filled with traps and undead, and one made of wind who nearly made my head snap in two. No animals, no plants. At least isolation is nothing new. I miss eating."
Cycle 2
The voice sparks back to life. "Water! Plenty of it! Much warmer than the ambient air too. I drank as much as I could, and then bottled more for later. This place seems to have springs of water that show up periodically, as evident by the lack of it before I fell asleep and presence after I woke. There is still no food or signs of life. The black sky is making this less enjoyable." A loud click is heard before a second. "Fungi appear to grow, though I could not tell how edible they were. Knowing my luck, able to kill me. I left them alone and started walking again. It's been six kelik since. The moon is setting soon. I guess I'll lay down to rest. Stomach is beginning to hurt badly."
Cycle 3
"A whole cycle of walking and hunting, and nothing to show for it. Becoming exhausted, difficulty moving. Stomach is worse. I will probably die here." A long pause breaks the speech. "No, that would be to easy..."

Cycle 4
"Another day. Clouds today. Dark, even colder. I got desperate and tried some of the fungi. I feel sick. I don't know if it was being hungry or it being bad to eat. There is nothing here, it seems. Just an endless wasteland...I'll be wandering forever..." A loud click ends the recording before another starts the next. "Things started falling. Snow at first, then ice. Large chucks. They hurt. I managed to get shelter under a rocky outcropping. It's...really coming down out there. Looks like a blizzard of ice...I'm still hungry..."
Cycle 5
"I woke up and...there's a sheet of ice over the entrance. I don't know what to do now..." A quiet whimper comes from the device before the recording ends.
Cycle 6
"I've made some progress, but it's so hard to keep moving...I'm so hungry..." The sounds of ice being scraped began and continued for the rest. "I need to get food. I need it soon...I don't even care now. Anything is better than starving..." A loud gasp comes from the device. "Oww...The ice cut me...Nothing I can do but keep trying...I wish I could hope to be rescued. All alone again. I grew up alone, I'll probably die alone."

Cycle 8
"I'm going to call it Eight. I finally dug my way out, and the satellite is gone! Where did it go!? I fell asleep twice since last time, and it's not shown up! That...planet has shown up twice now, and no satellite. I guess I'll use that for passing the time, then. I've been eating anything that even looks edible. I still feel sick, but I don't hurt so much. No springs, so I've been eating snow and ice. At least the cold doesn't hurt me that much." A long pause breaks the speaking up. "I...I wonder if I'm ever going to find a good source of food, or anything to make a home out of."
Cycle 9
"...I think...I saw the satellite. It's...on the far side of the other planet. How did it get there?! It barely moves across a day on this planet too. These fungi seem edible enough. I've been eating them for a while. Made a small camp near some. If they're poisonous, I haven't noticed. I doubt they're enough to live off, but...it's something. Another spring formed nearby. I quickly restocked on water and took a bath. I hope nothing else tries to use it...I'd hate to subject anything to my toxins. This place, though...I'll stay here a while, until I run out of food."
Cycle 10
"Another day. That world...it looks green. That must mean there's some life there. Plant covered worlds are green, I remember that from my classes. Probably more food there. Knowing my luck, the air would be toxic, though, just to make me unable to get anything out of it. The satellite is still slowly moving around that world. How did it get there? How do these planets not crash into one another? Why do they not rotate around each other? The place I've been sleeping is now barren. There's a ring around my head of nothing, not even the little mushrooms trying to grow out. I should probably move before I contaminate this place and kill the food. Still no signs of people." A soft sigh came through it. "There are...what...four people here? That's what that weird girl said. I doubt the other two are any better than the last one. Probably aren't alive either. Undead are terrifying...I don't want to be one."
