Swix stayed by that tree in a stupor for a long time. Long enough for the sun to go down and then rise up again anyway. It was only the pang of pain in her shoulder from the plasma weapon Tom had fired at her that brought her out of it. She just wanted to go home... But where was that now? She'd just killed almost all of her friends and would have alienated any group that she had ever been a part of, so where was she to go? Dea? No, Dea hadn't been home for so long now, and she had very little reason to go back. Nor did she want all the questions her no doubt obvious transformation to other Splits would be. There was no way she looked the same soulwise now, and she'd caught sight of her reflection in a small pool of water earlier. It didn't really surprie her, to be honest.

But there was still the problem of where to go for someone who didn't belong. Swix had no idea, but she knew she didn't want to be here anymore.

So she set about creating a Shadow Portal that lead everywhere and nowhere, her mind so distressed that she couldn't get the destination straight. She had absolutely no idea where it would go and she was almost certain as she stepped towards it that the air was...wobbling... in and around it. Like it wasn't quite there. How very strange.

Taking a deep breath Swix stepped into the Portal, out of her reality and into the Void. It wouldn't be until much later that she'd learn how to simply see the weak points in realities and just step through them without the use of Shadow Portals.
