The Dragon roared again in response to CP, the beast was so angry now he couldn't think straight "Can you recover priceless items not from this world? Can you restore wounded pride? Can you talk to me properly? Can you fix a broken wing? Can you bring... my kin here... I'm so hungry" Furnace said, stepping his rampage temporarily to look very surprised at himself and stare into space.

"Are... You okay, Furnace?" Cp asked, giving the dragon an odd look. Being hungry was fine... but... not something one usually rambled on about.

"Was something stolen from you? Why didn't you just say that?"

Returning the shield to its normal size, the norn shook off some dirt from the landing. "Yeah, like Cp said. We could try to find that thing that you lost," Alexander reasoned.

Furnace snorted "I didn't tell you because it wasn't any of your business, but... Maybe it is now?" the Dragon turned around to face them again "Yes, something was stolen from me. And no, I am not Ok..."

"Well. Out with it. What's missing, and... how are you not Ok?" Cp added. "We can probably help."

"Yeah, as adventurers, you can guarantee we will try our best," Alexander pitched in.

"I'm not okay because I... because I miss my kin" the Dragon growled, looking embarrassed. He even checked either side of them, and snapped ineffectually at a now terrified bird that had been unlucky enough to fly near him. Then the Dragon turned his head and nibbled at his own scales on his side, before swinging it back around and dropping a small black diamond in front of them. "What was stolen from me was a jewel very like this one, but much much larger. It is almost as big as you CP. It is very important it be returned to me."

"Well... we'll help!" Cp said cheerfully. How could they not help after a story like that? The electric mouse wasn't sure how a diamond could help bring back Furnace's kin, but it likely had some kind of sentimental value, so he picked up the one Furnace offered and looked it over.

"So the Griffin stole this? Did anyone see where it went?"

"I don't really know if the griffin stole that" Furnace admitted "I came home with my lunch and left it in the cooler parts of my cave when I found out it had gone missing. At first I thought Swix had stolen it. But, no, it wasn't her. Then when I went to retrieve lunch I found that had gone missing and followed it's scent to that thieving griffin" the Dark Fire Dragons lips curled over his fangs just at the thought. "Why would anyone steal something so worthless?"

"Hunger? I don't know. It... doesn't seem like that Griffin stole your gem. You got any enemies? Why did you think Swix stole it? Does it... do anything? Why would someone want it?"

Furnace snorted "I'm sure I've got plenty of enemies but none I know of came here. And Swix just does odd things from time to time, I wouldn't put her doing that as a jest past her. Stupid, but that wouldn't stop her"

The Dragon seemed to shake his head slightly at the next questions "it doesn't do anything, it's just a very big gem that grew in my parents chambers. Maybe they know what it means to me. Maybe they encountered Dark Fire Dragons before. Or maybe they're just thieving thieves! Do you know why anyone would go into a Dragons den?"

"As being on the other side of the fence, I would know a few reasons why they might have stolen your jewel," Alexander inferred. "Greed for starters, is the most obvious. Though, if you are like other draconic beings in terms of hoards of wealth, then why only the gemstone? No, either it might be for some medicinal/spiritual connotations, or purely revenge."

"Bear in mind, I'm not the type to steal from the living without a better explanation those I listed."

"There's no point in me hoarding gold or anything but gemstones, any kind of precious metals melt the minute I get down to a comfortable temperature" the Dark Fire Dragon growled "As for medicinal or other purposes, I suppose those are possible. It did grow from Dragon magic. Where would I start looking for those?"

"Dragon magic, hmm..." the norn tapped his foot as he thought. "Well, there is a person known in the Encampment as the amber trader. They said he has extensive knowledge of minerals and metals when moving between the native villages on Ana, as well as Kata. If anyone would know why they would have taken your jewel, it would be him."

"Well" Furnace said, drawing his head back after he'd listened to the Norn, enraptured. "Let's go see him then. Right now!"
