The Collector is Coming

Epilogue:
CP's plan would work, the two heroes would at least manage to beat one of The Collectors three trials that night. Once the unicorn's horn was stuck into the entity's appendage there was an unnatural screeching sound that echoed around the antechamber room, and the limb that had been intending to crush CP suddenly lost all of it's strength, going limp, and then evaporating from where the unicorns pure horn had pierced the soft dark flesh until it was forcibly cut off by the entity herself. The other two limbs that were protecting this perverse altar and feeding off the spilt blood retracting back through the walls and the portals that had been opened so that the physical embodiment of evil could anchor herself, closing those same portals behind them. The two heroes would destroy the altar and make the innocent creature whole again, they could leave through the passage Guardian had opened up and reenter the open air of outside.
But this night, though the heroes had succeeded in a victory, and had managed to completely destroy the Anchor of Death the entity had hinted about in her poem to CP, more were needed to win this day. The destruction of the Death Altar prevented the entity's taint from spreading any further into Anas ecosystem, along with her ability to drop anymore surprise creatures on unsuspecting individuals and to open up anymore portals that were not already there as it was.
But it was too late, the damage had been done. The creatures and limbs that had been sent to protect the other links to this realm remained, and so, so did the entity herself, now no longer restricted to only existing in her own realm. Pax had gained a being known as a Morality, or an Alignment, and they had been unable to stop her permanently attaching herself to this world in the time limit allotted.
The Collector hadn't managed to take over and twist this world to her own design, but nor had they managed to stop her from achieving what she'd wanted. The entity's now permanent link meant that what parts of her oily, fluidic self that had come through initially would be able to remain here. The Collector could wander the lands of Ana whenever she felt like it with little repercussions from what had been her natural state from this point on.
And it was all thanks to the fact it was a mortal from the other side of the now permanent dimensional doorway near the mountains that had opened it.
As for ES, who'd disappeared after being possessed by the entity. She'd turn back up again, eventually, but unwilling to talk about where she'd gone to anyone.
