Making his way up the ladder, Guardian marveled at the seemingly flying ship. It was either science or magic, with the way things in this world worked, and from the appearance of the ship, he assumed-
His train of thought broke when he crunched through the final step, catching himself at the last moment, pulling himself up entirely on the bulk of his own arms. Once he was up on the deck, he cast an eye over what he could see- and he saw a large, draconian figure- one he recognized as furnace. While Athena may be technically the pseudo-leader of the encampment, Furnace had always been the face. The ornery dragon, the one who first built the Encampment. Not that Guardian believed all of the rhetoric the citizens gave about Furnace; the only thing that was ever clear was that the dragon was rather grumpy.

"Hello." He called, his voice neutral. "If I am not a bother, would you happen to know if this flying object is powered by magic, or science?"

Furnace snorted, pulling his head up a little he stared at Guardians surprise appearance for a short time before answering. "I'm pretty sure you're about as much of a bother as these two" he said, then looked from one side to the other whilst he considered something before he turned back to Guardian. "I'd say... probably... magical. Probably. Why does it matter which it is?"

"What do you mean, what do I mean?!" Tetsu gasped, stunned by this being's questions. "Well, if you kindly direct your attention to anywhere around us, you'll find trees. Probably because you're in a forest. Which, and correct me if I may be wrong, I'm not up on my sailing knowledge, should be somewhere you don't tend to sail a ship."

"Well" the creature started, twisting his serpentine head around to stare at the fog and the ominous silhouettes of the bigger trees that surrounded them. "this is a flying ship, Missy, and designed to be steered overland like this. The only problem we'll have is if the navigator steers us into one of those trees. Unless he's blind, that's not likely to happen, is it? Now do you have any more pointless questions?"
