Coolpikaaa rubbed his eyes and hung up the call with his daughter. It was getting nowhere.. as usual. The electric mouse leaned back in his cushy office chair and heaved a long sigh. Time had taken it's toll on the old electric mouse. Here in the dark of his office it was difficult to make out, but over the years his fur had gotten long and grey. He had gotten bulky for a rodent. Age had made it impossible to keep a trim figure. "Old man muscle" he called it. It made him look fat.
The electric mouse rolled the chair back to his desk and began to flip through security camera feeds for something to do. "Security Network Administrator", was his title now. Essentially he dispatched the young guns and co-ordinated emergency missions. It was a good job for an old hero. Better than he could have hoped for.
They teased him sometimes. The younger protectors were curious, and always asked him to join them in the field. They wanted to see how it was done old-school. But the injuries of the past had come back to haunt Coolpikaaa. His heart wasn't built for adventure anymore. He was alright with it - Pax had been peaceful of late.
It gave the mouse time to tinker. He put out enough gadgets every so often that he was still a big name in the tech field. Second only to Thorn-Dancer, really. She had lucked out. Solved the technology gap and issued in a new age for Pax. It had given her loads of power. Ensured a political victory.
All because of one little thing.
Coolpikaaa took his feelings in stride. Thorn was and still is a dear friend. He was happy for her. But it didn't mean he would ever stop competing with her.
The electric mouse flipped the camera to an image of the impressive, ornate wall surrounding the tainted forest and felt and old pang. Paxians, for all their achievements, had always been idiots when it came to this. Back in the day, if they saw C they would shoot her with arrows or stab her with a sword. For some ungodly reason, they always thought of her as a physical entity though they were ALWAYS proven wrong. Whoever thought a wall could keep The Collector away deserved a sock in the nose. She was just... busy. She had joined the Pantheon and was behaving like "one of the Gods". Or something like that. No one ever understood her like he did.
Coolpikaaa flicked away from that image, grumpy. Unfortunately it landed on another subject of his ire - The old Temple of Insanity. Both Shiranui and DP were there, but it always ended the same way. Someone would visit. DP wouldn't listen to what they were trying to explain. DP would turn back into an old man and passive aggressively polish his statue.
The God had taken mortals getting older as some kind of personal affront to him. People had grown up. Needed to do other things. There had always been attempts to include the God and patch things up but he was a grump about it.
"Stubborn old man. Move on." CP sighed, watching the God.

Museum
Even with his hearing half gone from being to close that one time to an explosion, Tom could not miss the commotion coming from the Reliquary of the Museum. He had been on patrol for a bit now, and his prosthetic leg's bad battery was making itself a pain, causing him to hobble more than walk. Still, he finally made it around the corner, only to have his flashlight fall on the Young Pichu, and a mass of ice on the Onyx Sword. He quickly pressed the Panic button on the wall near him - which would both lock down the museum and notify the Police. He then started scanning around. His body was in no shape for Melee combat, but if they had a good ranged weapon nearby, Tom could at least hold off the would be burglar until help came.

Rooftop in the City
Mike stood listening to the Report from Raph. He knew Raph had eyes on a "Second in Command" Slot, but Mike made it a point that just like the older Knights before them, this group would never be that organized. Still, Mike appreciated the help in keeping the others in line, so he let Raph go on thinking whatever he wanted.
Then a buzz came in his ear, and a dispatcher came on, reporting an alarm at the Museum of Pax. This is just what they needed. IF they could stop a break in at such a public place, the sponsorships would come rolling in.
"Raph, wait for everyone to join us. As soon as we are all here, we leave for the Museum."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Temple of Insanity
DP first turned to look at....something, then towards the noise. "Company, it would seem my dear Shiri," He said, morphing back into his old man farm. Maybe someone would finally take care of the temple now that they've seen it's state.

CP's Study
As would often happen when CP spoke ill of DP, DP turned towards the camera and looked directly at CP, then the camera shorted itself out into a brick. Maybe "Stubborn Old Man." was indeed appropriate for the God.

????????????
Blackfoot, still in Gargoyle form, and still under the thrall of the Collector, Flew along the inside perimeter of the wall, looking for anything trying to enter or escape. He had grown to be her right arm as such, the loyal grunt to do her dirty work. It helped that most of his higher brain functions were shut down, so that he was little more than a remote control animal. So he repeated this exercise today, as he did most every day.

Bucky's Pizza
A mechanic was shutting down for the night. Part of his duties was to maintain the animatronic theatre show. One gave him the creeps - a dolphin dressed as a pirate. From it's machinations, it was clearly a lot more advanced, but also a lot older than the rest of the show. It for all he could tell was a normal robot, but he could not shake the feeling he got from it. OH well, as long as it didn't do anything off cue, per normal, he'd maintain it all the same and collect his paycheck.

"That would be for the best" Sethre nodded, before leaping off the tower to hover slowly down the ground in a human-looking form. Most, if not all the students would appear as such, so a more familiar face might help edge the new batch along with their training

Zephyrus, or generally known by Zeph for short, caught his boomerang in the return of the throw before little May fell. Never imagine a relic be so defenseless? The Jix quipped, slipping his weapon back in a pouch as he gazed over at the burglar. The pichu did strike a thought in his mind, though, being oddly familiar to him.
Has to be 'his' kid, I bet.

Rooftop in the City
Raph always got annoyed at how the rest had trouble catching up with them, even that tall guy stumbled about on his legs. "Got it boss," the Jix begrudgingly answered back. He figured there might be a large reward in protecting the Museum. Heck, his own family left some of their stuff their for Pax to see, and now this burglar wants a piece on the prizes inside. I think not.
Rolling his eyes, the final members finally shambled their way over to the rooftop. Hopefully that was all the time they needed as another trip through the city was already planned.

This was going poorly. First the ice, now alarms and a particularly seasoned looking security guard. Time to bail on this whole operation.
But how?
Her rope was cut too high for her to cling back on. Plus she now had two assailants on her tail, likely to team up to bring her down. Unless...
"I've caught the criminals! KNIGHTS OF INSANITY FOREVER!" She yelled disorientingly loud for a heist job. The little Pichu turned, letting loose a Thunder Wave attack at the area she had last seen the wooden projectiles fired from. She then dropped to all fours and ran deeper into the museum, hoping she had at stunned her invisible prey long enough to buy a few minutes while the guard investigates them instead.
She really wasn't sure in particular where she was going. Hopefully there would be a vent or some other means to lay low for a while.

The Museum
Stood where she was nearby the sword that was the target of the little would-be thief, the assassin winced at the yell and didn't quite get out of the way quick enough to avoid the Thunder Wave. Fades style relied on stealth, but with the paralysis she let go of her apprentice as she fell to the floor and was revealed there. Fade, the assassin, was now pushing 70-yet she'd never stopped training, never 'taken it easy', never pushed herself too hard or too little. She also barely had any wrinkles, oh they were there but there were neither laugh lines, frown lines or crows feet since she never used the expressions that caused them. Taking care of her physical self made Fade look even now as though she could and would kick the youngsters backsides when they needed it. But a paralysing electrical attack had made her fall to the floor gripping her Sapphire Dagger. Luckily, her ability meant that once contact was broken her apprentice would remain invisible for the next couple of hours at least

The Temple of Insanity
Running her hands along the bricks as she walked around and examined the damage done to the Temple, frown deepening. Her mother really wasn't going to like this at all.. "Excuse me" she called cheerfully to the two, waving "but do you happen to know where the team that is responsible for maintaining this went? They can't all have gone on holiday at the same time surely"

Swix smiled at her husband as he approached her, always happy to see him. "Of course" she said lightly as he slid the chair over to the side of her. "Though if there's an uncomfortable place in here I sure haven't found it yet."
The smile never left her face as she watched him, but a sigh escaped from her when he rubbed her stomach. Not a bad one, one of content and happiness. "Our latest bundle of joy is doing well, it wasn't that long ago I went for a check up. Everything is going as it should" the smile was tugged a little higher at his next statement. "I know. You wouldn't be you if you didn't like to check" the Split draped an arm over her chair and onto his, resting her hand on him. Her hand... "I know you said this would happen but I still find it a little strange, not aging."

Temple of Insanity
A deep, hearty laugh from the old man was the first answer Rose received. And it went on just long enough to be uncomfortable. When the old man finally regained himself, he responded "Young lady, you have been very very misinformed. There has been no "team" to maintain this place in twenty years, only me. I do what I can, but it is only so much. But thank you for the joke, these old bones needed a good laugh."

The Museum
Tom has suspected something had been watching the Museum with him for a few years now. He never got any evidence before now, but he had a few incidents he couldn't explain. He had kept his senses sharp, even when repeated injuries prevented him from doing so with his body...and sometimes he'd catch what he thought was whispering, or an odd shadow or something having moved at night when he didn't move it. He didn't care, so long as they didn't pose a threat....but it meant he was less likely to fall for the diversion.
He hobbled over as best he could and tried to help the....whatever it was up. Upon closer inspection, it appeared to be a woman, but the only indication of any age was a slight graying of the hair - some people had all the luck.
"Don't rightly know who you are, but I have no chance of catching that rodent on this leg, so we gotta get you up and going" he said, trying to figure out how he was going to bend over to provide aid.
Edit: Museum: Waiting on Jent, Temple: Waiting on Swix/Rose. The new Knights: Just waiting until the Museum story warrants them.

Paralysed now the elderly mutant was curled up on the floor, twitching slightly. "Find a way to neutralise the electrical paralysis quickly, Sergeant Tom Johnson, and that is all that I will require to get up and get going after the thief. I do not believe my body is as capable of shrugging off this attack as it once was" Fades words were cold, no emotion showed in them at all.

Shiranui looked about the Temple before returning to looking at Au'Marui "It is very disrespectful... And rather upsetting that they just leave you, in the form of an old man, alone to try and keep it in shape... I would have hoped that the people of Pax would be more grateful to us gods, and at least aid in keeping the Shrines and Temples in shape..." The goddess sighed, though her ears perked up when she heard a voice.
"Company, it would seem my dear Shiri,"
"It appears so..." The goddess replied to Au'Marui, watching him shift back into the form of the old man... Whilst the goddess herself had become a small mouse and scurried off... It seems over the years the goddess seemed to have grown more weary of mortals... Probably over the ever expanding city, the pollution and the park and statues that were so delightfully built on her shrine grounds... She proceeded listen quietly to their conversation from a crack in a wall, still possessing some curiosity.
~A... Team to keep this place in shape? If there was one... I wonder what happened to them~ The tiny goddess pondered to Au'Marui mentally.

Watching the mouse run away Rose then turned to stare at the mad old man with a very perplexed look on her face* ... Mom is going to blow a fuse... she helped build this place... *frowning, she walked over to inspect it more closely*

Zeph endured the electrical tactic far better than his teacher could have due to his liminal-nature of distortion. He grimaced in the strain as his mind overwhelmed the reality of his body, reverting the status whilst in chase of the thief. Her father will be quite peeved upon hearing this, the Jix thought to himself, soaring silently in the pursuit for the young Pichu.

"That might just take longer to get used to... at times even I forgot how odd it feels," Jent reminded his wife, pleased by the arm leaning at him. He found during that, despite the many years spent roaming the land on Earth, only spanning less than a century in Pax did he find someone to cherish the days with.
"Though each morning I wake up to you, it is all worth it," he brought his other hand against her face, lightly caressing as he spoke. "Never going to stop checking on either of you, or the rest of our family. Always feel compelled to be here together from the joy it brings me, a bond between us that won't shatter."

It took Tom a second to think of something, then hobbled over to the AED. If a shock could cause this, maybe a shock could neutralize this effect. He hobbled back over, set the machine down, took out a knife, and with a great deal of fear, cut off the assassin's shirt. He then affixed the two pads, one upper left shoulder, one lower right abdomen, and pressed "Start" on the Machine.

Holding the yell at the shock by way of hissing through her teeth, the second shock jumpstarted her system, and the assassin was up and had the Sapphire Dagger at Toms throat so quickly it would surprise anyone watching given her age.
Then she removed it and stepped back "My apologies... Seems my apprentice is already on the thiefs trail... Many thanks for the help" she said, emotionlessly.
