A vaguely humanoid being appeared for half a moment, in the sky above the forest. He had great large wings, made by a combination of pseudo-technology, and by floating, glowing orbs. The being looked down at the forest, and frowned. T'sazi the Aeloci would be watching this forest. It would be the main real test for the inhabitants of Pax. If they couldn't deal with it themselves, then the Aeloci would step in.
Caesar knelt on a nearby hill. While he was planning on getting some meat, and bringing it back to camp, he found something more interesting to hunt. He pulled his mask down, turning thermal view on, and hoping he'd be able to see these creatures thermally.
Then he began to fire his electromagnetic rifle.

Luckily for Serah, Fluffy's goop web entangled the Monstrosity when it leapt at her, enough that when it hit the floor where she had been it was unable to stand up again-although that didn't stop it from trying. Those behind and close by also got their legs and feet entangled in the web, causing something of a roadblock of Infected aliens. Serah was safe for the time being, at least so far as the creatures that had originally been following her were concerned. Now, where did she go? Towards the newly settled campsite, the glowing Psiot Cities, the mysterious red leaved forest that was just barely visible... or perhaps towards the sound of gunfire aimed at the menaces?
Luckily for CP, once he started properly running the small bounding Swarm apparently gave up, turning back to infect easier targets. Unluckily, the lizard bird Monstrosity apparently had more of a one track mind and gave chase. Crouching when it believed itself close enough to catch it's fleeing prey, suddenly a shot rang out and it wasn't there anymore. It had been vaporised by Caesars loud electromagnetic rifle instead of netting itself another victim.
Caesars thermal vision would find something very curious-only the little creatures of the Swarms gave off any heat, and that was only a little. However those newly Infected still retained heat from when they were alive-they were also unmoving. They just stood upright, and that was it. The Monstrosities on the other hand, in the final stage of Infection were cold bar the small specks of heat in their chests. Even more curious, some of these creatures were bloated rather disgustingly, their insides writhing with many of the Swarm members-perhaps this was how they reproduced? Of course, the shot had attracted a lot of attention as Monstrosities and Swarms alike began to march on his position.
Should this not prove enough of a distraction however Caesar may wish to focus on the red trees that shouldo't be, for inside each and every trunk there were scores of little, barely moving heat signatures. A most strange discovery indeed.

As serah ran she saw a group of weird tree's in the distance, She Flinched as she heard the sound of a Gun shot and ran Evan faster she was getting tiered but was too scared to stop running fearing that if she stops she would be killed
She looked at the metal medallion the Alien gave her with determination
"I will find Teacher I just hope she isn't one of those Zombie things..."
She sighed as she ran
She looked behind herself and saw nothing was following her except from fluffy She soon stopped as she was too exhausted to run
Fluffy landed on her shoulder and cheeped tiredly as it's web attack tired it out. It wasn't Designed to spit the web goop out as much as it did so it strained itself to protect serah

If the metal creature could feel anything, it would have savoured the newly gained energy. It wasn't a lot, but it was the most it had received in a long, long time. Suddenly, shots flew right past it. White hot bolts of electromagnetic energy whizzed past and killed a few of the dead creatures behind it. Fluffy Cheeped a fearful cheep as it could hear the Robot getting Closer
Serah got up tryed to run but she was too tired "This isn't happong" She gasped as she was forcing herself to run
Fluffy couldn't spit more web because it was too tired too it just did a Loud shriek like chirp at the robot and flew around serah trying to get her to move faster cheeping over and over again
Serah suddenly stopped and looked straight at the robot her eyes full of both anger and fear she was tired of running now she had to fight she focused some of her some of her energy into a sphere like shape and launched it at the robot hoping that it will hit
Fluffy pulled on serahs hair trying to make her move squeaking and chirping but serah wouldn't move her eyes where Fixed on the Robot

Hopping furiously, CP the Goo moved as fast as he could possibly go. The path was slowly but surely coming into focus... Yet still, the horrible rotting bird monster was gaining. Even worse, the jagged roots from the trees on either side of the little blob decided they were not going to be friendly today, and sat there, forcing CP to climb, or hurdle over each one. And with no legs to speak of...
"Oof!" the Blob cursed, landing on the ground with a sloshing sound. He scrambled backwards, pressed against the bark of a tree, and watched in terror as his pursuer readied to pounce. This was it. He was going to die.
And with a crack of wondrous, wondrous lightning, the Monstrosity suddenly vanished, a cloud of burnt flesh dust the only thing left in it's wake. Not one to question the ways of the Immortals, the blob booked it, covering the short distance up and through the path, and entering his new found sanctuary - an odd little grove of red trees.
He scurried quickly, slipping up a trunk, and across to a particularly leafy branch. He doubted anything could reach him now, let alone see him through the brilliant red foliage.

((Hmm, looks like I'll have to leave Borg and Jodie to it for now))
The small grove of red leaved, grey trunked trees waved their branches about and tilted their trunks every now and then, for they were no ordinary trees. Even their bark was differen, being abnormally smooth, which CP the Goo must surely have noticed from his scramble to get higher. Lucky once again, there were no Infected nor Infectors around-as they hadn't reached this particular grove. It was safe-for now.
The blob of dooms vantage point did give him a great view of all the trees here, including a particularly large one in the centre that was far taller and thicker than the rest.
Next to this bizarre plant in the centre of a grove of bizarre plants, were two aliens. One was roughly eight feet tall with double bent legs, bright blue and had an insectoid head complet with multifaceted, green eyes and mandibles. It possessed only two large toes, and it's three fingered hands were having to constantly push the hand of the much smaller creature next to it down.
The little one was a mere three foot tall and appeared hunchbacked. It also possessed powerful arms that hung nearly to the floor, along with just as powerful, single bent legs. This ones had five digits on hands and feet, whilst it's head resembled that of a blunt nosed canine complete with floppy ears and soft orange eyes. It was covered in black fur, wore blue clothing and the hand the other had to keep pushing down looked like a blocky black gun. The little one was clearly jittery as it raised it's weapon at nearly every movement of the animated trees, whilst the larger one was far more calm whilst still keeping an eye out. However they hadn't spotted the Goo yet, but maybe that was for the better...

As the machine made it's way to Serah, a sphere of energy hurtled straight at it, smashing into it's shoulder and knocking it off it's feet. The Artificer had been caught off guard, and was not expecting the humanoid to possess such power.
[CRITICAL DAMAGE TAKEN; SEEK REPAIR IMMEDIATELY]
The Artificer pulled itself up and looked to the humanoid again, it's soulless eyes burning with a sickly green, arcane fire. It slowly backed away, before finally slinking off into cover. It would have to go somewhere quiet, somewhere secure to shut down and begin the slow process of an emergency repair. Scanning the surrounding area it found nothing, and decided to climb to higher ground for a better view.
[AREA OF MINUTE ACTIVITY DETECTED]

[NON-LOCAL FLORA DETECTED]
The Artificer jumped down from it's perch and headed for the safest spot it could immediately see; the strange, red leafed trees.

Serah couldn't move she was shocked at powerful she was
"Woh I didn't know I was that strong" She whispered
She looked at fluffy and smiled at it to try to comfort it as fluffy was terrified
"no worry's Fluffy if I can do damage and scare away an evil robot then I don't see what else could worry us" she said trying to reassure it Evan through she knew there was allot to worry about
Fluffy cheeped nervously as it was worried more about Serah than itself

((An awesome long post just for me? Huzzah!
))
Sitting in his tree, CP was starting to calm down a bit, despite how recently he had almost kicked the bucket. Something about the tree seemed pleasent, if it be the smooth bark, or the gentle movement the whole thing seemed to give off. Perhaps be could have his summer home here...
Constantly peering out through the leaves at the path he came up, just to make sure nothing else had followed him, the little blob of goo became aware of some sort of ... Patting sound behind him. It didn't seem to be getting any closer, let alone near in the first place, but to be on the safe side...
The little blob o' doom slid along his branch carefully, cursing lightly under his breath whenever he slipped on the smooth bark. It took a few minutes, as he had to stop and remain still at the slightest sound, but eventually he managed to find a far less comfortable branch with a view.
Out in the middle of the grove was a larger tree, and two aliens standing what appeared to be guard. They didn't look like they were eating each other, but one of them did have a weapon and looked like he was itching to shoot it off.
What to do...what to do. He could try and tell them about the nearby massacure, but they might shoot... And his branch sure seemed nice.
With a sigh, he dripped steadily to the ground and slunk nearer to where they were. Maybe he could catch a snippet of what they were saying before he marched right in...

The little blob o' doom would find he was entirely unable to understand what the two aliens were saying to each other, as neither of them were speaking in English. Well, until he got relatively close that is, as English issued from a cracked, clearly discarded Translator nearby.
"-thought I told you to stop doing that!" an obviously frustrated, clearly female voice issued from the device, as the blue alien batted the black aliens hand down again.
"B-but I don't like it here!" this one was a terrified young males voice, and coincided with the little alien waving it's weapon around frantically "nothing bigger than half my little finger's come anywhere near this place. Teacher, how can you be so confident it's safe from those... those Things?"
Teacher clicked her mandibles, then caught the jittery ones arm and didn't let go "I just am Lushik, but if you don't stop waving this about it's going to go off and then we'll be in real trouble". Teacher kept hold of Lushiks arm enough until she was sure the canid had calmed down, then gradually let go "just keep an eye out for those things, and try not to hit any of the trees". Lushik gave the blue alien what could only be described as a weird look, and then set about staring around them with his orange eyes. Teacher turned to the much larger tree behind them, set a hand on it's smooth bark and began to mutter something. If CP wanted to hear what she was saying, he was going to have to get closer. Or alternatively introduce himself to the trigger happy Lushik.
Serah need only go a little further, just a little, before she would enter the red leafed grove and find a little haven in this nightmare. She could even meet Teacher if she so desired to explore the centre.
The Artificer too, would find this place a relatively quiet spot as everything larger than a caterpillar seemed to be avoiding it-well, except those already there of course. The two aliens in the centre, the blob o'doom... along with something white, four legged and surrounded by an ethereal glow that quietly slunk behind a couple of grey trunks...

Caesar set his visor to overlay thermal with a 'movement' sensor, that would create targeting reticules in his view for anything that was moving, whether it was warm or not. He fastened his helmet and switched his air filtration system to a new filter. He wasn't going to let. . whatever this was, spread to him. Noticing that the swarm seemed specially attracted to the noise, put his gauss rifle away, and grabbed a small canister.
Twisting the trigger of the device, it started squealing, obnoxiously loud, imitating the sound of his rifle. Caesar pelted it into the air, as far as the amplified strength that his suit gifted would let him. That noisemaker should take care of most of the creatures that gave chase. He drew his sidearm, a small mechanical crossbow that would fire anything from wooden stakes, to small explosive bolts. He loaded the wooden stakes, preferring to save his ammunition. Caesar hadn't had a chance to make new bolts, ever since Pax had nabbed him.
Creeping through the trees, and firing his silent crossbow at any things that came too close, he started going towards the odd grove, seeing the thermal shape of a humanoid in there, along with various other shapes. Survivors of this. . .attack?
What -was- happening here, anyway?

There it was again! Someone rude was around, constantly interrupting his thoughts!
"--eep an eye out for those things, and try not to hit any of the trees."
CP slipped back, staring at the ground where a small device lay. It was giving off noise, speech actually, and even stranger, in common! Picking up the instrument, he gave it a better overview. The thing seemed slightly damaged, but was obviously still working. Giving the device a careless shake, he looked back to the duo and saw, that oddly enough, the instrument was giving off sound at the same pace they were. A translator perhaps?
Reeling from his new discovery, the Goo moved back in surprise.... and crashed into the leg of one very impressive looking beast.

Caesars distraction worked rather well, for almost all of the marching menaces turned towards the loud sound the canister was giving off and changed direction. A few didn't however, and continued in their original direction.
The magnificent beast CP had backed into pulled the paw that had touched the goo up and away in disgust and mild surprise. The white wolf glared down a the blob, it's lips bared over gleaming fangs "Watch where you're going" the genderless lupine growled as it backed off a few steps, clearly not pleased to see CP. It'd also show that the Translator he'd picked up was indeed broken, for it didn't translate Lykaios' English/Common words into the alien language.

CP at first mirrored the surprise, then disgust of bumping into the wolf. First of all, how hadn't the blob seen him before? The glow wasn't exactly the most private thing in the world...
And now, this glowing being was carelessly wringing him out when the two aliens were mere feet away! Obviously he was trying to sneak around as well, what else could he be doing behind these trunks?!
Giving the wolf a disappointed stare, the little Goo backed away as well, not noticing his device hadn't translated the beast. He was too occupied calling the beast all sorts of ugly names in his head.
Perhaps the situation could still be salvaged though. CP slunk around to the tree the female was leaning against, and pulled gently at her leg. With a heave, the little blob held the translator up as high as he could.
"I think you may have dropped this, 'mam."
