She offered Raven one of her big, mischievous grins and planted the torch on that square before leaping sideways to E7.

"Tricky Raven, very tricky" she called over, as a compliment.

Raven laughed in delight at Swix's praise, before hopping further down towards H0.

"Of course I am, dear Swix. You're not so bad yourself." She winked at Swix playfully

Swix frowned, then bounced from her position on E9, over the hole in E10, and up onto the cavern wall to replace the torch she'd used already

(( I thought I did too, but I wasn't sure. Figured it'd be better to grab one when I might already have one than try and plant on when I didn't. ))

As Raven tried to grab the torch she stumbled trying to pull away. 'What the...' It seemed she couldn't hold two torches. Oh well.

Swix jumps onto tile N0, carrying the newly retrieved torch.

Raven grinned - just what she'd been waiting for. She ran along the edge, hopped down to N0, planted a torch and was away to N8. "Sorry darling." She grinned as the ground below Swix ignited.

Swix fell.

The woman in the black dress with the white trim just managed a slight bow to the demoness with respect for Raven and the burning rage for anyone who'd take her out shining through her eyes before the gel incinerated beneath her and sent her plunging down. The gap was too far apart for a grab with her extra limbs to save her,so she fell.

She didn't scream, she didn't really see the point of that.

She fell some more, and saw the broken torch on the rocks. She frowned, if it wasn't bad enough that she was sure of where she'd end up, then a broken body that resembled that would likely make it worse. What a comforting thought that was.

She fell some more, watching the rock wall illuminated by the torch she was still clinging on to rush upwards. Was this going to hurt? Were there going to be spikes or something similar at the bottom? Did this place even have a bottom?

She fell some more, and saw the ledge with the intact torch go flying upwards. She also saw the gouge left by some what looked like really powerful creature. Oh gods, was there a monster down here? Or was it perhaps a previous contestants desperate attempt to stop? She certainly wasn't going to attempt to grab the ledge even with her tendrils, they'd get ripped straight out of her back and then she'd be falling and in pain. She really didn't fancy that.

She fell some more.

Oddly, she started wondering about three things at this point. Would The EC, those who had managed to make it to Pax, know what had happened to them? What if Raven came across something that took her out later in the contest, what would happen then?

Then there was the Collector, of course... but then, it was probably best not to think of the entity right now.

Then there was CP... was that light... from beneath her?

Swix looked down to see what looked like a raging inferno beneath her.

'Oh, brilliant', she thought, as she plunged down into the cool gel then struggled back to the surface, confused and relieved.
