Pax RP

The white wolf CP had bumped into turned after having backed off even more, disappearing behind the grey trunks again. Rather than walk on the ground anymore Lykaios jumped onto the side of one of the moving trees to hide himself from those inside, but kept an ear cocked to hear what was going on. The white wolf landed on, well, on nothing, the very glow that surrounded him held his body as though the tree on which he was 'standing' was the centre of gravity, rather than the ground.

The blue alien had finished her muttering to the red leaved tree just before the goo had gotten it's translator close enough to translate what she had been saying, feeling a tug on her leg the insectoid alien looked down in confusion... and found herself even more confused by what looked to be some sort of liquid creature holding up the useless device. "Uh, you must be a local? I've never seen anything like you before. Look, you may as well keep that" she said quietly, so as not to bring Lushik barrelling over "it's no use to us. You can understand us but we won't be able to understand anything you say. We only came across this language recently and only the Communications Officer can understand it even slightly... wherever he is". Teacher clicked her mandibles, then turned her back to the large tree and slid down it, sitting on her haunches. "Look, whatever and whoever you are, if you don't know already those screams coming from way over there are probably the infection that came with us. I..." the blue alien stopped, and looked away in what was possibly shame "... am called Teacher". Whatever she had been going to say was lost, replaced by this. She obviously knew something, but it was too painful, difficult, or shameful for her to say. If the little blob of doom wanted the answers, he was going to have to find a way to press her without the convenience of speech.

Caesar would find his path barred by a large Mpnstrosity that would have been 8 foot tall if it weren't for the fact it's head was completely missing. It's body was of course covered in areas with the sickly grey flesh, and what would have been it's middle finger had been transformed. It had become far longer, flatter and it's edges sharp, effectively turning the fingers on both hands into organic blades. Blades that it swung around dangerously when it sensed Caesar was close by.

Serah finaley managed to move and fluffy was flying towards the moving trees

"Fluffy wait hey!" She shouted as it flew off to the trees She moaned "Fluffy wait..." as she ran.

She was amazed as she enterd the weird animated forest but Fluffy was acting like it was at home in there (Sorius has a spicies of tree that moves and evan migrates)

"woh this is weird let me count what weird things have happond today lets see Zombies, Aliens and moving trees" serah Sigh'd as she walked

Fluffy cheeped happly as it flew then stopped as it saw somthing A strange glow through the trees it flew in the direction as it was curius of what was causing the Glow

"Fluffy... plese stop" serah moand as she was following Fluffy she didn't want to lose Fluffy as it was her responcibility

She then saw the glow "Fluffy get back here NOW!" Serah squeeked at Fluffy but it diddn't listen it just kept flying towards the glow Serah sigh'd "What is fluffy some kind of moth?" as she chased after Fluffy

Caesar stepped back, looking up at the monstrosity, stunned. Every bit of him was telling him to run, run far and never come back. He opened up a communicator to home.

"Hey, Vii." He said. "I don't know if I'm coming back."

A small computer on his wrist injected various drugs into his bloodstream, mostly adrenaline and beta-blockers in perfect balance. He twitched, and shook slightly.

"Something's come up."

He bit his lip, and clenched his hand hard enough to draw blood.


"Love you, Vii." He said, shuddering as the drugs took hold, and cut the communications. Before he charged toward the creature, roaring.


His plan was simple; Topple the creature over, and leave a landmine in it's gut, set to detonate. Then run like hell. And even if he died, the explosive would still detonate. As long as nobody else got hurt. . .

((Feel free to kill him, Swix. Your choice. It's how he'd want to go.))

Cp frowned as the alien woman explained about the translator... And it's lack of Common. As for her comment about locals, he remembered back to his first day on Pax. Nothing on the world had seemed like it belonged. As for now, she was as native to the land as he was.

But something further seemed to be bothering the woman, at least more than being stuck on this new land should cause. Was it the infection she had mentioned? Was a family member struck with this disease, or even worse... Was she?

Mind full of new questions, Cp opened his mouth to speak. Translator or not, he needed answers. But yet...

The little blob closed his mouth slowly and slid over to Alien. She had slid to the ground, back against the tree and looked so miserable... Cp the blob set the translator down, and give the Teacher a reasurring pat on her foot before looking into her eyes with a smile. He needed something to cheer her up, something to get her mind off the dead bodies...

And with a small hop of exclamation, he recieved a startling bit of inspiration! Concentrating hard, the little blob mimiced her last line as best he could in her alien tongue.

"I am called...CP!"

Even if it didn't work, perhaps his attempt would cheer the downtrodden alien up a bit.

Fluffy would find Lykaios less than pleased to see him, for the white wolf did not want anyone to pay him any notice as of the minute. However, an annoying flying bug creature appeared drawn towards him, Serahs yelling having alerted the creature to both of their presences. The Underling tilted his head backwards to watch the humanoid running towards him, and decided if he wasn't going to get any peace, he may as well have a little play. So Lykaios walked up the tree, his entire body tilting over backwards, until he was standing upside down on air, his bright yellow eyes watching the girl even as he mock playfully snapped at the thing called Fluffy.

CPs attempt at cheering up the alien woman worked, for though it was impossible for her to smile her voice clearly showed it'd worked, for she was happy and quite pleased-or at least, moreso than she had been before. His attempt at mimicking her alien tongue was actually kinda cute, and also proved that she hadn't been talking to a dumb animal. "Well, now" she said, her voice a little more upbeat than before "aren't you the cutest little blob, mimicking me so well. So your name's CP? Well, little CP, welcome to the hell we've been going through for weeks". Despite Teachers attitude change, the little blob would find that what she had to say, was still a little on the darker side. Indeed, unless 'welcome to hell' was a typical greeting, he might think the place was in more trouble than it seemed even now "A word of advice. It's peaceful but don't hurt the trees here, don't shoot at them, don't break anything and definitely don't try and cut them or cut them down. You should probably go and tell the other natives this though... if anyone survives the outbreak I hear coming closer". The blue alien did not sigh, click her mandibles again or look away this time, but rather looked at the goo with a sort of expectant expression in her eyes. What she was expecting him to do, however, was not forthcoming from the insectoid woman.

Caesar would find his plan worked out rather well, for as he charged the once insectoid alien Monstrosity swung both it's blades down to meet him-and missed completely, doubly whooshing past Caesars head instead. The humans headlong, roaring charge had him crash straight into the Monstrosity's gut, his shoulder hitting and slightly cracking the natural blue chitin armour whilst also dislocating from his shoulder with a rather loud pop. As the creature fell over onto it's back, toppled by sheer momentum, Caesar planted the landmine on a patch of soft, grey and disgusting flesh that was just showing through the creatures gut with his still working hand.

The humanoid pushed off the monster powerfully with his legs, his adrenaline giving him an edge over the dead thing, further cracking the exoskeleton as he propellied himself off and away. The Monstrosity behind him, getting so gloriously far away by the second, turned and rocked until was lying not on it's back, but on it's front, eventually managing to push itself back up onto two legs... just in time for the mine to go off, destroying the ground, the trees and the nearby reanimated, attracted by the commotion, alike.

Though Caesar just managed to escape enough of the blast not to have the back of his body burnt off, he didn't manage to escape it entirely, as the shockwave caused rammed into him and sent him straight into the smooth grey trunk of one of the outlying animated trees, which stopped it's swaying to shake it's red leaves and grey branches at him in protest. His limp arm had been propelled into this strange lifeform in front of him, breaking in at least two places as it was crushed by his own bodyweight, but at least he was alive-if a bit battered by his recent ordeal.

((No, I don't think I'll kill Caesar today Tav. Not yet anyway. ))

While all of this was going on, the Artificer was busy sneaking quietly into the forest, away from the mortal creatures that disturbed it's quiet. They were of no concern, at least not yet. After searching for a dark and hidden away spot, notably a tree in one of the darker shadows in the area, it walked up to the tree and rested itself with it's back against it. Various cables and wires began to plug themselves into this tree, preparing to sap whatever life force it might have.

[BEGIN EMERGENCY REPAIR SEQUENCE]
[DRAINING ENERGY FROM LIFE FORCE SOURCE]
[...]
[SYSTEM HIBERNATION COMMENCING]

The artificer powered down, and began to very slowly repair itself. Depending on the amount of energy leached from the tree, this could take hours, or even days. Of course there was always the possibility of being discovered and attacked, but it would deal with the possible treats when required to...

Fluffy Chirped fearfully as the wolf like creature snapped at it and flew behind serah

Serah just stood there amazed of what she was seeing

"Ok now more weird stuff first Zombies next aliens third moving trees and now floating upside down glowing wolfs I must be having a weird Nightmare" She mumbled to herself as she stepped back slowly

Fluffy chirped nervously as it landed on Serah's Shoulder staring at the wolf

Serah remembered that she can't get hurt in nightmares "Fluffy Bite me" She said in a stern voice Fluffy just looked at serah with confusion "C'mon if it's a nightmare I won't feel a thing" She said with a giggle

Fluffy chirped sadly and bit serah on the Shoulder as weakly as it could

"OWCH! I felt that so I guess... THIS IS REAL!!" She Screamed in shock and walked back a little faster knowing that if anything happened to kill her she would die

When the Artificers plugs and wires hit the tree in the dark, shady spot that he had found away from the other lifeforms, the strange plant shuddered in a most unpleasant manner. It stopped it's peaceful swaying and stood rigid, the bark around the areas the ancient creature was draining becoming rigid and brittle, this effect slowly spreading outwards until it would eventually engulf the entire once animated tree so it would never move again. The vibrantly red leaves too began to lose their lustre, their colour fading to pale pink, and then a very light sandy colour as one by one they fell off the odd plant, carpeting the floor around the creature.

((Tell me when your guy's done Borg, I have a surprise ))

The upside down, white, floating and glowing wolf that was causing Serah so much trouble grinned in it's lupine way at seeing the effect it was causing. Still upside down, the Underling took several steps towards the humanoid woman whilst extending the ethereal substance around itself, the source of the glow, until it formed a sort of glowing white tendril that extended towards Serah, it's master intending to wrap it around Serahs shoulders in a strangely soothing way. "Oh dear, whatever is the matter?" Lykaios said in his genderless voice "Don't you like me or my friends? Poor, poor little thing, maybe we can help you out... "

Serah Gulped as she was scard and Fluffy chirped nerviusley as it saw the light heading for Serah

Fluffy flew off as the strange light coverd Serah's shoulders and serah felt calmer but was still nervius

"Who are you?" she said nerviusley "and where am I?, I don't evan know if I'm still on earth or well anywhere now?"

Fluffy watched the wolf creature whilst flying next to Serah, It wasn't sure wether to trust the wolf or not, So it was on gurd

The white wolfs grin remained plastered on his upside down, lupine face as he regarded Serah. He left her hanging for a minute or two before answering just to savour the uncertainty he was causing... and to allow the white tendril around her shoulders to solidify "i am known as The Wanderer. I know Earth, and I can definitely tell you that this is not it. But, who might you be, looking so lost?"

"I'm in a -lot- of pain, that's what I am." Caesar said, walking up and holding his arm. He was sickly pale, and looked like he had already vomited. His mask had been removed, and his suit was quietly beeping. Something in his arm made a loud crackling noise, as small airbag-type balloons on the inside of his suit re-aligned his arm, and set it.

"Agh! God-damn. . ." He started mumbling to himself.

Lykaios turned his wolf's head towards the new, rather battered looking humanoid male that had decided that now was a good time to interrupt them. Lykaios hated interruptions, especially when he had such a nice young morsel that had allowed his ethereal substance to touch her.

"Ah, such a pity" he told them both, genuine regret showing through "I was beginning to have so much fun too. Well, then, since I'm going to have interruptions, I guess I'll just have to accelerate this a bit" Lykaios was no longer grinning as his head once again turned towards Serah, his words even stranger than before "you are so tired, are you not? Why don't you just sleep? Sleep right here, with me. Sleep"

Lykaios white tendril should feel about as solid as a human arm by now, comfortably curled around Serahs shoulders. It would also begin to draw energy from her, making her feel increasingly tired as it carried it from her to the Underling.

"And you too, Mr 'lot of pain', why don't you join her?" he asked softly, beginning to extend a second ethereal non-solid tendril towards the sick Caesar. He wouldn't provide a lot of energy in the state he was in, but Lykaios so loathed interruptions he thought this time he could make an exception "Let the soothing glow sweep you into sweet oblivion"

Serah looked at the wolf and giggled

"My name is Serah"

Serah then looked at the man that seemed to come from no where and asked

"are you ok?"

she then noticed the light was solid and she was confused and she got Evan more confused when the wolf said

"you are so tired, are you not? Why don't you just sleep? Sleep right here, with me. Sleep"

Serah then started feeling weak and tired and passed out

Fluffy did a growl like chirp at the wolf and flew to the wolf angrily, It wanted to protect it's master and was going to attack Lykaios to protect Serah

Lykaios grin returned when Serah passed out, but this one was less good natured. In fact it was rather horrible, since it matched the dark glee that was showing through his yellow eyes. "Hah!" he said, with some genuine amusement and... disppointment as well, it seemed "I wasn't expecting her to go down that quick... Oh, lot of paaaaaiiiiiiin" he sang, turning his head towards Caesar once more and stepping closer towards him, the solid tendril on the floor slightly dragging Serahs limp body. A body that she wouldn't be needing very soon "come and join uuuuuussssss. Come, let go of your pain, your troubles, sleeeeeeeep with uuuuuuuusssss. Sleeeeep with-"

Of course, it was never simple, it never would be simple. His taking his attention off and completely dismissing the little flying creature meant that it had gotten too close whilst he was focussed on Caesar, and the annoying little thing bit his ear!

"OUCH!" he said, screwing up his yellow eyes and shaking his head to get it to let go, the tendril creeping towards Caesar receding whilst the one around Serah softened and did the same "Gerroff me you insignificant little insect!"

Fluffy growled as it was trying to stay on the wolf's ear as Lykaios was trying to shake it off,

Fluffy was then threw off the wolf's ear as Lykaios shook it off and hit one of the trees and fell to the ground and cheeped sadley and crawled over to Serah, a bit of yellow blood dripped from it's left wing as it was damaged and couldn't fly It just cuddled up to Serah and cheeped at her trying to wake her up.
