"No. Does there need to be for me to ask if another Knight is okay, especially after telling me her armour was heating up?" Mina asked, frowning and wondering why Senka was acting like she shouldn't be asking that. Show her for attempting to exercise common courtesy to someone who clearly didn't understand the concept, then.

Mina turned back to look over at the floating off dust, lightly frowning. "Not as far as I know-Devon!" Mina said, before noticing the Zduhacs Astral form on the ground. Mina ran over, transforming into her large golden Dragon form as she went before going to pick him up in her claws and fly over to the ship. Clearly the other Knight didn't need help, and was prickly when people showed concern. Mina mentally sighed as she lifted off, this was going to be a testing trip.

Hours passed at the expedition crew huddled themselves together in the zduhać's ship. Devon himself was carried into his own room to recuperate, as that twisting of the madness took quite a bit out of the old man. At least his vitals were stable and could answer questions after he awakened.

While a few Dragon Knights alternated in shifts to keep alert for anymore enemies, the rest stayed aboard. Often meditating to regain composure and willpower. Or simply assisting in a plan for the rest of this trip.

Mina spent half the time of their much needed rest meditating on the deck of the ship, building her mental defences back up and offering tips to the students who'd volunteered. She also visited Devons cabin every so often, just to make sure he was ok and to show him they were.

However despite this, Mina always kept an ear out to listen to what the plan coming up might be, and even alternated watch with some of the others. Just because you lead an Order didn't mean you were more important than the rest of your group, and Mina sought to lead by example.

She worried about Tom as well-it was her fault he'd ended up here with them, and she'd heard of how crazy he'd become after she'd gone to stall the Fire Demon with Senka. She wondered if either of them would accept a small piece of knowledge of how to form barriers and protect themselves a bit better from that sort of mental attack-but she worried that asking them might stab into some sort of innate pride they carried. She seriously doubted Senka would accept any help; even temporary that would ultimately benefit the whole group if it came from her.

Mina sighed, getting up from where she had been sat meditating om the deck of the ship. Well, it couldn't hurt to ask, surely? The leader of the Dragon Knights got up to go find Tom first.

Tom meanwhile was still cacooned Tox's scales, which was helping him stay himself. He didn't move around too much - he had heard about Tox's lethal talent and didn't care to test it for himself too much, but the scales seemed safe enough.

"Errr, Tox you can probably allow him some freedom now" Mina said, slightly uncomfortable. "The boat's shielded"

Mina sat down. "Tom can you hear me? I'd like to ask you something'

The old man groaned. That technique he utilized prior to falling unconscious sure took his toll on him. Not to the degree of when his own soul was crumbling to pieces, though certainly up there in the list of unpleasant experiences. Devon still wasn't functioning at one hundred percent. But hey, gotta make do.

"Exactly," the zduhać added, standing beside Mina now. "I made sure Altima interwoven some of her vitrum flexile into the structural design. Not the ultimate defense, yet better than nothing."

Expecting the Dragon Knight to interject with words along the lines of 'you need to get back to bed,' Devon retorted first. "And no, I have enough rest for now. Our current game plan needs to be enacted."

Tom didn't move around much, but muttered through the cocoon "Yes, you need something?"

Mina frowned at Devon. Of course the elder ego draconis would anticipate her objection before she voiced them. But she had to admit he had a point-a game plan was what they needed. Instead she then nodded an acknowledgement before turning back.

"Some tips on how to handle your former colleague maybe" Mina answered Tom, smiling before realising that he couldn't see her. Of course he'd be asking if she needed something from her. "Actually, I've come to offer ypu something. You know that the island we just came from was mentally attacking people? Well while we're not immune Dragon Knights are taught early how to shield our minds. If you would accept it, I can provide you with the knowledge of how to shield your own. Although you must bear in mind it's not a permanent solution and it will crumble if put under too much strain"

Tox dropped the barrier, exhaling slowly as she flopped onto the ground and curled up into a little scaled ball to recover. She would still need more time to finish recovering and dealing with what was drug up. She needed to keep training...That's what she gets for feeling confident in her skills.

Devon held the notion Tom might reject the Dragon Knight's offering. Then again, he wasn't there when the former Insanity Knight accepted those mental links from Jent to allow long distance communication of his former order. The zduhać simply figured he would be of a vaguely similar mindset to Senka in terms of free boons.

"From what your underlings told me, Mina, that there doesn't seem to be any other presence on the island apart from that tower. Even general life seems to stay clear of this cursed place," Devon mentioned to the Dragon Knight. "So we might need to travel outside this storm's range of influence to find anything peculiar."

Tom took a while to respond. He was definitely himself, and doing better, but still seemed to be in a fog of sorts.

Finally, he said "I can try...but if it requires magic - I can't do that. Don't know why, but the few mages I've spoken to said it was amazing how little magical potential I have. May have to do with the lack of natural magic in my world. But if it stops this pounding in my head, I'm willing to at least try..."

He stopped for a second, then replied "As far as Senka goes - she is very prideful. If she thinks she isn't getting the respect her title and rank deserve, she's not likely to cooperate..."

Mina listened to Devon, lightly smiled at Tox and waited patiently for Tom before she then nodded seemingly to either herself or them. "Very well, if you think it'd be best for us to move away and explore other places then we should do so, it looks like Tox needs some rest herself as well" Mina said to the elder, then turned back to Tom. He was clearly still having some trouble, so what she was offering would hopefully help a bit.

"As far as I know" Mina explained, putting a hand up to her head "it shouldn't need magic for you to utilise it, our telepathy does boost it by quite a bit but still" Mina pulled her hand away from her head, a small glowing gold orb now rested in her hand. She put it in front of her mouth and gently blew it at Tom, at which point the information of how to build a mental wall would enter his mind. "I hope you get some use out of this information and it helps with your headache"

This would be one case where Tom's incompatibility with magic worked in his favor, as his mind had no defense for the incoming knowledge. It felt strange as it settled in, but it wasn't too dissimilar to some of the anti-torture techniques he had been taught.

Tom thanks Mina for the knowledge, gets up and heads over to one of the ramparts of the ship, sitting against it. He closes his eyes and tries to put his new knowledge to some use.

Watching Tom go off to acclimate to the new knowledge gifted to him, Devon turned to address the Dragon Knight. "So time to set sails for everyone? I can offer Altima's transport device for anyone in the expedition that rather stay on the island longer. Coordinates to my ship are already logged into it."

Mina sighed slowly "I would like to further explore this island but I fear now's not the best time for it. Perhaps the time spent sailing to another area would be welcome for others as well"

Mina told Devon, before going to sit down and meditate again.
