Faya paused in her polishing, her characteristic leer sliding across her face again. "I bet I can." She replied in a sing song voice. "I bet I can cut them all down. They'll be screaming and screaming, you'll see." At that, she hefted her sword and tore away in the direction of the nearest tree, yelling something about demons and dead butterflies.
Waffles stayed where he was; he knew better than to get in the way when Faya started swinging the six-foot long claymore.

On Kata it snowed.

The dimensionally displaced figure had made it almost two feet before the cold and the dark and the emptiness crushed his spirit and forced him down into the snow to watch himself freeze. He had to wonder, of course, why this was happening. What kind of atrocity would one have to commit to be torn through dimensions just to die? He couldn't even remember being alive two minutes ago....

Looking up, he saw not stars, but a vastly different planet, one that seemed happier and couldn't help but ponder how different life would be different up there. Perhaps a lifespan of more than five minutes was his guess.

The figure tried to shift again, bring his body closer and conserve heat, but much to his dismay, the semi-liquid had already frozen into stiff spires neatly wrapped in a growing white blanket.

It was with this he fell asleep, fleeing to the safety of his mind, perhaps in his dreams it wouldn't be so cold.

It seemed listening was the best thing he could do. Not speaking and just watching had gotten him more answers then he could ask for. Of course, he didn’t stand there looking like a statue. Simple reflexes from everything happened time to time. He would stare for a moment when someone new and strange arrived. He would flinch when someone would blow a whistle and he would feel uncomfortable being stared at from afar from someone with blood covered items.
Once they started to talk about shelter, he stepped forward. There wasn’t much he knew he could do, but he could try. The only thing he needed was some orders, and he would begin.

Markus looked at the girl, and then to Athena. He mulled over the offer of money, or rather he mulled over a far more useful payment.
"You know damn well" Markus replied "that money is hardly of any use right now. I want my own shelter, I don't share company well with others. I'll build it myself, but I want the materials to do it."
Markus' stomach quietly grumbled.
"And I want to catch something to eat. Don't worry, the girls safety will be top priority. I'll even stay in sight of the..." He thought for a moment "settlement".

Furnaces digging produced a large, deep hole in the ground in very little time indeed. It was one advantage of being a part of a race of creatures that lived underground-he knew how to dig, and dig well.

Furnace poked his head over the top of the wall, nodded to himself, pleased with the outcome, then lowered it again. The young mythical beast then proceeded to disappear into a rounded opening in one of the walls, into a separate chamber of his own. He'd finished, gotten what he wanted-assuming the soft-skins could build a good enough roof that no disgusting rain could get in, that is-and so did not see why he should help anymore.

The dragon curled up in separate 'cave' he'd dug for himself, and waited for his body heat to make the nicely dark place comfortably warm.

Athena nodded. "You have it."

Then she turned to the man with the blue skin. "Mind collecting some leaves and. . .hm. . .Pine needles?" After a few moments thought, she spoke again. "Actually, scratch that, could you go find everybody some food? We mostly need fruit."

Far from the mundane plane, from the world of mortals, was the realm of dreams in which the Clonepikaaa had just entered.

Here there was no ground, no walls, no boundaries. It was space, stars, galaxies, light, dark... And it was... a woman?

"Excuse me," the blue-haired being said, standing on nothing. "Am I dreaming or am I really lost in space? And... what are you?"

Mimas was so confused. One minute she was feasting on delicious fruit offerings from her adoring people, and the next she was flying through space in an inter-dimensional celestial breeze, the same sort of thing that was kidnapping so many other people.

Trance simply nodded. Fruit. He knew what that was. But if it wasn’t there on that planet yet..now that was questionable. Back on his home planet, such a thing was never even heard of.

But he didn’t bring it up. Putting on his headphones and changing his skin tone and hair, he began to walk. How would one go about searching for fruit? Find some trees. 'Where are some trees? Oh, up on that hill.'

And that’s where he went.

The dream the goopy little alien had fled to was much more pleasant than the freezing landscape he was formerly grounded to. Stars and space moved by, concepts he knew, yet never remembered learning. He was...asleep? Something in his head told him it certainly seemed like it. But what did being asleep mean?!

Content with just watching the Galaxies float by, this other CP condensed down into a foot round droplet, the only features visible being it's little, deeply interested eyes. Soon enough though, someone found him, reaching out and asking questions.

He moved around slowly, to get a better look. Why was he imagining this figure now? Was it someone from his past? She kept talking, and the more he watched, the more real she seemed. Too real....

"...And... what are you?"

The little goo shifted his eyes sideways, to imitate cocking his head. He could...understand her. They needed to...talk.

"Are..you..from Black...star?"

With a rush of sudden knowing, the nagging voice in the little alien's mind became dominant, and the Clonepikaaa realized this wasn't at all where he should be.

"What...wh- They ate me! ...One of them got me and I woke up in the cold, somewhere else! Did...did they get you too?"

Markus nodded.
"I'll get right on it then."
He walked away, looking for the little girl. He assumed he'd find her just fine, and everything would turn out great. The last time Markus went looking for a kid... well he was mostly in one piece at least. It wasn't like HE chopped off the kid's hand, those green skins did. He called out.
"Hello?! Little girl? Get here now."
Markus felt like he was missing something.
"...Please."

Hide and seek was her most favorite game ever in the whole, wide world! Usually, Melu took the game a bit more seriously, shifting her shape so that nobody could tell where she was, but, this time, memories of her most recent friend and fellow psion filled her head. He had been able to find her anyways, even though she was in a seemingly different body. Well, she wasn't gunna fall for that this time. Nope, not a chance. This time, Melu lay flat on her stomach in a large patch of sweet smelling flowers, beaming into the fragrant earth. She was so clever.

When nobody followed right after her, though, and the big, huge, massive dragon scolded her, she started to worry that everyone was too boring to know what to do. She considered giving them "Melu's Official and Really Important Hide-and-go-Seek Instructions," but it occurred to her that they might just be waiting for her to do this. She remained silent.

As time wore on, at least five whole minutes, she started to get bored again. Plucking some of the flowers around her, she started weaving them together into neat little hats. She would give whoever found her first a fancy new hat. Yeah, that was a good plan.

After a few more minutes, she thought she heard a voice calling out for a little girl. Puffing up in indignation, she connected to the man who was talking to her via telepathy, offended enough to risk giving away her position if he was a psion.

I am not a little girl! I am a big girl, an' my name's Melu!! You hafta find me.

Markus suddenly heard a voice in his head
"I am not a little girl! I am a big girl, an' my name's Melu!! You hafta find me."
That took him by surprise. He didn't like telepaths, he really didn't.
"Get the hell out of my head and tell me where you are."

No! We're playing hide-and-seek! You hafta find me!

Clearly, someone was really, really stupid. How did he not know how to play hide-and-seek?! It was the funnest, most awesome game ever! Melu kept her annoyance out of her mental voice, remembering what Mama and Lutha always said. Be polite when you talk to others.

She was such a good girl.

"Fine then, you want me to find you, I will."
Markus drew his crossbow.
"but I want a clue. A little clue, that's all."

Melu scrunched her face up, trying to think of what a good hint was. Clearly, the adult who was looking for her wasn't really good at her game, so it was all right to give him an easier suggestion as to where she was.

I'm in the prettiest things ever.

Eeeeeeasy. Hopefully, Melu thought, her small fingers twining the stalks of a few more flowers together, it was not too easy.
