The Encampment
Tala smiled at the concerned Grog "I'll be fine Grog, you know I'm strong myself and I heal" she said, winking slightly at her curse-brother.
The vortex almost seemed to glare at the defiant Flame Guard before something else caught his attention, letting Thorn make a break for it as the Vortex looked over at the black robed man. So different from the others... yet... familiar? It dashed over to him with debris swirling and floating all around him.
"You... I know you... " It said
Just outside The Encampment
The Dragon roared again and turned around as plasma shots hit it's thick scaly skin before once again lumbering after Tom angrily, bellowing it's displeasure.
In the Guardpost
Abi looked at Raes picture, grinned and then trotted off in the direction she had indicated.

Just outside the encampment
Tom kept running, would turn around, and fire a few more shots at the dragon, and run some more - all the while he kept leading the dragon further out of town.
The Encampment
Grog seemed satisfied with that answer, as before Tala could react, Grog picked her up and had hurled her towards the dragon - then went off to find another rock should she fail.

The Encampment
The Flame Guard would have been stunned by the vortex suddenly departing to interact with a stranger if she had more personality. Right now, she merely acted on her objectives in mind. The huldra woman went to direct both Thorn and Nero down a path to the Temple as far as possible from the giant monstrosity.

Rae finished shading in her artwork, then stuffed the crayons back into the box. The guard captain looked around... and realized she was missing someone.
"Kid? KID?!" She yelled, jumping to her feet. Not the cells... not the cells... She rqn after her to see where the little girl had gone.

The robed figure fell to his knees and bowed low before the vortex.
"Master, it is I, your first and most loyal servant! I felt the ripples of your return and came to serve once more!"
He raised his head, tears of rapture and joy trailing down his face.
"Please, I am your tool to command once again. Set me loose upon this realm that the very fabric of nature will shudder at your touch!"

The behemoth black Dragon followed Tom again, the shots singing it's leathery hide where it hit but making no impression upon the monstrosity. It bellowed once again and leapt forwards, opening it's maw for another charged shot of pure energy.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!" A werewolf in full anthropomorphic screamed as she came soaring over to the fight from the Encampments fountain, smacking into the beasts snout hard enough to stun it for a second, forcing it to close it's maw so the energy didn't blow up outside but rather within the beast. "BLUE! STOP IT! YOU'RE-" Tala yelled into the monsters ear before the stunned and currently befuddled beast snapped it's head around with enough force to send the werewolf flying off somewhere, leaving clawmarks on top of tough flesh.
It only served to make Blues pursuit of Tom that more intense.
Meanwhile...
Nero clung to Thorn as she dashed through the other obsidian tendrils sticking out of the ground, while little Raphael continued to cringe in the relative safety of the Temple everytome the Dragon roared.
Abi though... After having made her way to the cells and looking with something akin to glee upon the criminals had proceeded to open the cells doors... using the shadow tendril called forth behind her to pull the very doors off their hinges with the minimal of effort.
The vortex seemed to smile with glee at what the man before him had said. "Yes... yes of course... That will help... Go then, unleash your potential upon this realm that my power may only grow after being sealed for so long. Should you find the Alignments of Good, Neutrality, or Evil-my siblings around, have no reservations in destroying them. The imbalance that will cause will be delicious. I have made them children but that was only the first step along this path"

[Just outside the Encampment]
Tom kept up his desperate race against the dragon. He breifly looked over his shoulder to see Tala on the beast's snout, but Tom only used the distraction to mount a small hill and setup for one last desperate shot. He waited half a second once in position, then squeezed the trigger, firing a single bolt of plasma....that glanced of the dragon's cheekbone missing the remaining good eye.

The Flame Guard in the area organized their still active units into two groups: relaying as many of the townsfolk out of the Encampment as possible towards the refugee site, whereas as three stayed behind to distract the behemoth once known as Blue from causing too much damage in the vicinity. An already unveiled trio witnessed the daring efforts of the werewolf as she was launched at the draconic beast, charging closer to aid in the dire effort. "Formation!" one of the huldre called out, standing in a triangular shape as they direct their arms in the manner of an archer reading a shot. They quickly surged a torrent of flaming energy around themselves, firing a combind blast of fiery plasma towards the monster's head.
Meanwhile as the Alignment in the Encampment escaped with his mortal entourage, the tendrils fortunately missing their grasp of them in its increased frenzy. The same couldn't be said for the several townsfolk when the strange darkness caught them. Desperate gasps for air wailed from the captives, arcing crimson sparks cascaded across their skin as the obsidian tips burrowed themselves inside the humans.

"As you command, so shall it be."
He stands and holds his staff aloft. With a sound with a crash of thunder and a tolling of a great bell, he held aloft a gleaming longsword. The blade was translucent as if forged from glass. Within a faint glow emanated and upon its surface, wardings and runes etched into the blade writhed in a patternless dance.
"With a blade forged in the depth of the Void, the space between spaces where Order has no hold, I shall sunder the alignments in your name!"
I won't kill children! the man said in a voice very different from his own.
The man in black shook his head like a dog shaking off a flea.
"It seems the vessel's mind is still intact. Strange. But no matter, it cannot break my will nor stay my hand."
He cast his gaze to the chaos around him, spotting the Flame Guard his master had appeared before. He points with the tip of his blade.
"Where are the Alignments? Three children to your eyes. Be quick about it! I have much work to do this glorious day."

Rae came around the corner to find the prison cells in absolute chaos. Hastily she grabbed for a spear, only to knock the rack over with her fumbling hand. She was helplessly outnumbered... and Abi was right smack in the middle of all the criminals.
"KID! Get back over here! What the hell are you doing?!" She yelled, picking uo her spear off the ground, ready to stand in the hall and take them all on one by one if she had to.
