Due to numerous sources of stress piling up all at once, I won't be as active on Pax for the next week/until things calm down respectfully in RL. Any questions in general I'll try to answer via Skype/ect in case you need a response to whatever.

A cavern sits, deep within the heart of Kata, beneath miles of frozen tundra and tangled webs of twisting caverns.

It's quiet. The air is stale.
Merely half-hewn, a statue of a man in a seat sits quietly. It had been carved by no man, shaped by no sentient being.

It had been there since the very birth of the realm of Pax itself.
Sleeping.

After yet another moment of perfect stillness, one among many millions of moments... Nothing happened.
And then that nothing decided to stop happening. Just like that.
The statue awoke. Its eyes opened, stone crumbling off from its body, revealing something more human, more living.

And then it slammed its hands on the ancient keyboard in front of it, and wrote... Well, everything you just read.

Oh my god I've been gone for years. The last post I made was me apologizing for being gone for over a year back THEN, too. I'm going to make a real effort to stick around this time, I swear. Things have been pretty busy pretty consistently, and while I'm STILL busy, I'm going to make sure to check in at least once every few days.

(I know this is not exactly an 'I'm going to be away' post like the thread is supposed to be about, but it's the exact opposite! So I figure it should come here too. For reasons.)

Monday, my dad was diagnosed with Terminal cancer. and the mean Terminal with a capital T. Since then we have learned he has about 2-6 months to live without treatment, 4-8 with. I'll be both online and on here as much as I can, but I will be taking every free opportunity I have to travel the 3-4 hr trip to Hometown to spend what time we have left with him....which will limit my free time. So I'm not sure if vacation is the best place to put this - but IW may progress a bit slower for it, so why not.

Woah, I'm really sorry to hear that DP... I hope you are able to enjoy the time that you have left with your Dad as much as possible.
