((Hello all. I wanted a cool way to introduce this character, so I thought I'd set a canon RP (a first for me) to do so. At the same time it's another place different and/or new characters can be introduced, if it makes sense for them to be there of course.
This RP is set in an Asylum that was zapped over to Ana as well as the occupants inside. After the initial havoc caused by this, things have settled down again and all the staff are doing their best to treat their patients, and keep things under control.
Just a note on player characters, there should be a good reason why they are there. Good examples if you want to make new characters would be guards, doctors or inmates. Other types of characters are fine, but a good explanation of why they are at the Asylum in the first place would be ideal.
Also, there is a good chance with Tarath running around that things could get rather nasty to say the least. Be prepared to face gruesome behaviour and a possibly messy end to your character! Character deaths would be very rare still I imagine, it's the nature of this kind of RP, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened here.
PS: I've not been writing this for nearly two days straight, I just left my laptop on where I've been staying to help pack and ended up staying overnight.))
------------------------------------------------------
Blackwood Asylum. The old house was a bent and twisted as the residents inside. On the outside the place looked like an old Victorian manor, complete with vines crawling up the walls and gargoyles watching over the surrounding area. Inside however was more like a fortress, with reinforced concrete walls and and cold, clinical lighting. All the windows are barred and guards patrol the corridors. The only part of the interior that retains the old nature of the house is the reception, a very comfortable sitting room, glowing with a warm light and furnished with fine items.
In this house is a cellar, with only one room in it. This room had to be specially made for one highly troubling patient. One patient who made it necessary to have a cell with solid steel walls and door fit for a bank vault. This one, highly troubling patient is Tarath. Inside, Tarath and his current doctor were sitting, chatting about... whatever Tarath wanted to.
"...And there's a surprising amount of blood in a rat, you wouldn't think so but I cut that sucker open and out it all came. Wasn't even a big rat either."
Doctor Lilith Ren was feeling queasy. She'd been dealing with Tarath for a couple of months now, and it never got easier. She had to listen to the loon talk about all the vile acts he'd done, and he hadn't gotten onto people yet.
"Tarath, how about we talk about something else?" Lilth near pleaded to Tarath.
"Well" Tarath replied "We could talk about... interior design."
"Wha- Okay then. What about it?" Inquired a somewhat surprised Lilith.
"There isn't much colour in here. Very dull, these padded walls." Tarath answered. "I think we need something... those little flags!"
Lilith sat there, somewhat dumb founded. She wasn't quite sure she was hearing him properly.
"Little flags?"
"Yea! What was it called... um, BUNTING!" Exclaimed Tarath.
"Bunting...?" Asked a dumbfounded Lilith.
"YES!" Yelled Tarath "Bunting! We need some bunting! Would really brighten up the old cell here."
"And where would be get this bunting?" Asked Lilith
"Well..." Tarath replied, a wicked smile dominating his face. "Let's talk about that..."
------
Outside this cell, a guard stood. Whilst the cell was fully sound-proof, the poor guard who had to stand outside this particular cell had a direct audio feed to the inside. In the event that something happened to the poor sap stuck inside with the monster that lurked within, the guard had to be able to hear what was going on. Right now he was hearing a blood curdling scream.
Rushing as fast as he could, the guard punched in the security override code to get the door open unlocked as fast as possible, and practically tore open the door to find a horrific scene. Lilith lay dead in a pool of blood, her entrails strewn about the room. Tarath was stood there, grinning ear to ear and looking very pleased with himself. Somehow he had broken free of his bonds, and killed the doctor. The guard was nearly sick.
"B-b-but how? Why?!" He cried.
"I believe it's called bunting." He replied, before lunging at the guard.
------
Within an hour the Asylum was in chaos. Tarath had gotten free, and freed nearly all the inmates, taking particular interest in the more violent ones. People were scrambling around, fighting for their lives.
"Oh god, he's got a knife!"
"They're gonna break in, THEY'RE GONNA BREAK IN!"
"We are in lockdown, repeat, we are in LOCKDOWN!"
Blackwood Asylum had become a madhouse in every sense of the word. Blood ran down the corridors, terrified people ran for their lives, and now anyone inside was trapped with the most dangerous patient they had ever had.

((Alright, I'll give it a go ^_^))
One of the people now trapped in Blackwood Asylum trembled, with her legs drawn up to her chest and her hands gripping the back of her neck protectively she gently rocked back and forth mumbling incoherently. One might think from this behaviour that she'd been one of the inmates, but from her blood splattered white lab coat it was clear to see that she was actually one of the doctors that had been assigned here, and a fairly young one at that.
When she'd initially noticed the entire building had moved she'd been puzzled to say the least, though not quite as adamant that it was shared hysteria caused by working so closely with the loonies that inhabited the place as one of the colleagues she'd befriended was. Of courre, since the 'illusion' had lasted so long he had eventually had to acknowledge that this place was real. Which was fine with her.
Doctor Mina Solari hadn't been here that long, so she'd been assigned the less violent patients whilst she adjusted, and been warned about the worst one of all downstairs. This was also fine with her, violence wasn't something she'd ever 'got'. Except maybe now. Now she got to see firsthand what drove some people to engage in that barbaric behaviour to survive.
Shortly after the alarm had been given, she'd cowered in a room with some of her colleagues whilst the patients beat the door down. As soon as she'd seen them jump on the guards in some sort of maddened blood frenzy she'd screamed and run through the melee, purely because there was nowhere else to go, her coat splattered with blood, before she reached another door and dived behind the only cover she could see-a table in the kitchens she'd madly dashed inside of.
She hoped it'd all quiet down soon-but something told her that wasn't likely to happen, even as she raised her head, once immaculate blonde hair now matted, to see if anyone had followed her in. Or worse, was already in here and had spotted her.
((There, that's my character for this RP and hopefully I've done it right.
If not let me know what's wrong and I'll doctor my post-pun intended

((That's perfect, don't worry!))
The doorway to the kitchen was empty. The corridor outside was quiet. Far too quiet. In reality, there were the bodies of three dead guards, all of whom had their throats slashed open. The hard, white floor was slick with blood, and a lone figure slid around in a mad parody of ice skating. He was heading in the direction of the kitchen, for something had caught his eye.
Sliding over to the door, Tarath peered into the Kitchen with a manic grin on his face.
"Hellooooo? Anyone here?"
Tarath didn't hear anything, and this annoyed him slightly. Stepping inside he decided to search the place. With sharp things. Picking up a butchers knife, he randomly picked a direction and threw it as hard as he could. Was it efficient? No. Was it fun? So much so he picked up another knife and threw it in another direction, and kept doing so, giggling all the way.

The cook cringed, watching as another thrown knife bounced off a hanging pan with a startling clang. He had taken to cover under one of the sinks that dotted the kitchen as soon as the first alarms were raised. He wasn't a coward, just smart enough to know that being killed wasn't part of the job description for Thursday Mac and Cheese.
So there he sat, watching through a crack in the cupboard doors, as first the terrified doctor, then an escaped inmate rushed into the kitchen. He could see the Doctor, but only hear the patient, who by the sounds of it, was coming closer. Something needed to be done... Or they would surely be found.
The cook opened his door a tiny bit more, motioning to the frightened doctor. He pressed a finger to his lips, then stepped a leg out, keeping low and behind the counters. The cook moved slowly, trying not to look at the bloody footprints while making his way behind the crazed inmate.
As soon as he was close enough, the big man bellowed a fearsome yell, and rushed the blood-soaked patient with a football tackle.

Tarath was just about to throw the last knife within arms distance when a large cook piled into him like a sack of bricks. Both Tarath and the cook slammed to the ground and scrambled around on the floor. All Tarath could do was swipe wildly with the knife, and hope he hit something.
"HEY! Play fair and sit still whilst I slice you up!"

((Yay!
))
The Doctor had just managed to peer over the table when the blood soaked inmate who appeared to be enjoying himself entered the Kitchen through the door she'd used, and ducked down again when he called into the place like he'd just come round to meet his neighbours. Of course, she'd never seen Tarath in person, maybe she'd seen a file on him, or just a picture, he looked slightly familiar, but Minas mind wasn't quite working rationally enough right now for her to recall where she'd seen this crazy persons face before. She winced when a knife hit one of the hanging pans, clapping a hand over her mouth to stop herself from crying out and betraying her presence to the knife wielding man.
She saw the cook come out of his hiding place, put a finger to his lips, and nodded once to show she understood the gesture before the large cook got out and seemed to approach the crazy person in a roundabout fashion, making the young womans green eyes widen. What was he going to do? What if the inmate saw him before he got there? What if-oh gods-what if he got killed? Then she'd be alone in here with the knife throwing nutter. On her hands and knees, Mina gripped the edge of the table she'd dived behind and was about to look through when one of Taraths last thrown butchers knives skimmed her hand, quite easily slicing off a layer of her skin and making her give a brief but high pitched cry of pain as she brought her hand back in, wringing it slightly and cursing herself for crying out. At least it hadn't gotten her in the eye, she guessed But it was about that point that she heard the two meaty thuds of bodies hitting the ground as the cook had apparently been successful at whatever it was he'd planned on doing.
There was nothing for it now, she'd given herself away, and besides they were in the way back out. The Doctor grabbed the knife that had cut her and stuffed it into a blood spattered pocket before she stood up to get down a frying pan-and was confronted by the sight of the two men scrambling around on the floor whilst the patient slashed wildly at the cook. She swallowed, her throat dry, still trembling and still terrified, but she couldn't just wait back there whilst the big man battled for his life. Not after she'd run away from the others earlier, listening to their screams of agony.
A bit faster than the cook, she made her way over to them but stopped short as her legs turned to jelly. If Tarath got too close or made a single swipe at her she'd bring the pan down on him. Even though she hated herself for even coming to that sort of barbaric decision.. "Leave him alone!" she called over to the inmate, feigning a bravery she didn't feel, voice shriller than usual with the fear.
'Yup great idea Mina, get the psycho to focus on you rather than the big guy who looks like he can look after himself far better than you can, you complete and utter moron!'

Taraths attention snapped to the hiding doctor, which proved to be a terrible mistake as a large fist smashed into his head and knocked him out. Before the darkness of unconsciousness took him, he let out a quiet giggle that faded away as he drifted off.

Mina didn't know what it was but seeing the inmates eyes snap to her made her want to take a step backwards, even though it was only for a second or so before the cooks fist knocked him out. Was he... was he giggling after getting smacked like that? Mina shuddered, and tried to will her legs to move so she didn't stay stuck dumbstruck like this.
The Doctor shook her head, matted hair flying. 'Come on Mina, snap out of it. He's not moving anymore, you can stop staring at him now... ' she thought, then looked to the cook. That helped a bit, Mina felt her legs unfreeze and she unsteadlly made her way over to the big burly man 'til she was standing next to him. "Hey" she called "hey, you okay?!"

The cook struggled with the inmate's arms, trying despirately to knock the flailing knife out of his hands. The big man had already received several nicks and cuts from the escaped patient already, and was having a problem keeping the squirming man down. It actually seemed like his strength was being rivaled only by the man's crazy...
Luckily the doctor's distraction of standing around doing nothing was just the break he needed to land one good punch to the jaw. Now that the man was unconscious, The cook knew the first course of action. He punched the crazy again.
Standing up to admire his work, and kick the knife far, far away, The Cook turned his attention to the doctor who was just finished asking if he was ok.
"I think.. So. What do we do now?"

"I-I don't know" the Doctor said, her shaking had barely stopped and she regarded the cooks cut arms with some concern, even though he said he thought he was ok. "we're in lockdown, and I saw more violent people running around. We've got to escape... Somehow... Maybe if we can find someone from security still alive they'd know of a way... If they haven't left already"

Further down the corridor outside the kitchen, the eerie quiet suddenly exploded into a storm of activity. Four men in full riot gear were backing into the corridor, yelling orders and panicked remarks.
"OPEN FIRE, OPEN FIRE!"
"He's huge, he's freaking HUGE!"
"He just won't go down!"
The sound of gunfire filled the air like a terrible thunder storm. Slowly advancing towards the men, the reason for their panic let out a deep, blood curdling yell. It was a man, a massive, muscle bound man. He stood almost seven feet tall, and looked like he could snap a tree in half with little effort. The hulk of a man was wearing little more than a pair of shorts, revealing the markings all over his body, like war paint. The bright crimson however, was certainly not paint. He was also peppered with bullet holes, testament enough to the brutes constitution. In one hand he was clutching a fire axe which was also slick with blood. In the other, he held a broom handle, on the end of which hung five human heads, attached to the handle like a grotesque flail.
"Why won't you just DIE ALREADY?!" Screamed the youngest of the guards. He had to be no older than 18.
The hulk looked at the young man and stopped to consider this fact for a moment.
"RAAAAAAAAAGH!" cried the muscle bound man as he charged at the young guard and cleaved him in two with the axe, the sheer force of the attack sending the upper half of him flying into the kitchen whilst his legs stood on the spot for a moment, before collapsing to the floor.
"BILLY!" Screamed one of the other guards. "That's it, TAKE HIM DOWN NOW!"
The sound of gunfire and screaming filled the air once more.

Mina was eyeing the body of the unconscious inmate warily while she was waiting for the cook to get up, trying to remember just where exactly she'd seen his features before and why she would have in the first place when the hallway outside exploded into gunfire and screaming. It certainly didn't help her trembling, the frying pan she was gripping so tightly banging against her thigh as she stood indecisively wondering what to do. That thought process was shattered however when the top half of a young mans body came flying into the kitchen after a blood curdling yell from what was almost certainly another inmate, the young Doctor barely managed to duck out of the way of the grotesque projectile... unfortunately it didn't stop her outfit from becoming further bloodstained. Mina shook her head and quickly walked over to the door to peek her head around it and see just exactly what was going on. Her green eyes widened at the size of the bullet hole ridden man wielding the fire axe "Oh my Gods! He's like a tank!" she turned back to look at the cook "we can't stay in here, we've got to leave before that thing gets too close" He looked like he'd have no trouble destroying the entire kitchen to get to them-hiding didn't look like an option anymore. "C'mon!"
Bravely-and she rebuked herself in her head when she stepped on the blood slick floor behind the guards-stupidly, Mina entered the corridor. She didn't really have much of a plan other than to dive into another room that wasn't the one she'd originally come from, and wasn't too close to the muscle bound man that he'd immediately follow-which seemed to require a fair bit of moving through the dangerous corridor behind the fast backtracking guards. Mina did a little backtracking of her own-she didn't want to take her eyes off the brute.

Even more screaming, and then a body flew through the door.
Well, half a body.
Great.
"Wait! Where are you-" The Cook yelled to the female doctor, who had decided to rush out the door as soon as she could. Where could she possibly want to go? Sure, escaping sounded nice, but why not just stay here while the guards cleaned everyone up? The kitchen certainly seemed safe, barring the unconscious man on the floor.
That was the other thing too... The man on the floor. It was why the cook hadn't left with her as soon as the doctor neared the door. What if he was just faking? What if he popped up with an even bigger knife as soon as a back was turned?
"Gah." The cook exclaimed, walking back slowly towards the doors with his eyes on the inmate. Once there, he poked a head out to see exactly what was making such a racket.... and check where the doctor had gone.

The hulk had smashed in the skull of the last guard, his death screams muffled by a meaty fist, when he spotted Mina. Long moments passed before the brute gave out what could only be called a war cry and charged at her, the flail of heads spinning in the air. It would be seconds before the slab of muscle and rage was upon her, very much intent on crushing her body into paste.

Mina watched the guards slaughter with horror filled eyes, clutching the frying pan tightly to her as she backpedalled, right up until the very last one. That was when Mina screamed pitifully "Eeeek!" dropped the pan on the bloodslick floor, and dived into another room on the opposite side of the corridor to the kitchen
