Race: Floran

Occupation: Knight of Insanity

Normal/Casual Attire: Image

Kata Attire: Image
(Originally just the Snow Infantry Set, but I thought this looked better)

Hunting Attire (Ana): Image

Height: 6 ft 7

Aura Colour: Bright Yellow

Abilities + Skills: Thorn-Dancer is stronger and faster than the average human and can see in very low light conditions. She knows how to use various different weapons, from daggers and maces to bows and guns. Thorn-Dancer can also read Binary code. Thorn has also been learning fire magic, though she is not the best at it... She is a quick learner and often makes strategies on boosting the effectiveness of her magic, such as using arrows coated in oil to fuel the magical fire she conjures and at the same time, launch the fiery arrow at a target.
Also due to her unique biology, charm magic does not effect her the same way it does with fleshy beings. She can sense the magic being used on her... It is just her body doesn't know how to respond to the alien energy and thus just makes her feel odd.

"Florans gain energy and nutrients by a combination of photosynthesis and digestion of food. Photosynthesis would produce glucose while emitting oxygen, to provide energy, and digestion of meat (and possibly plant matter) would provide the nutrients to grow." (Starbound Wiki)

Equipment:
  • A stainless steel dagger that she always keeps nice and sharp.
  • A wooden longbow.
  • Arrows tipped with sharpened stone or iron.
  • Spears.
  • Twin Terra Dao Blades. They have an affinity at controlling non-sentient plant life, but are largely dependent on the user's affinity, power and skill. When unsheathed, the swords have a bronze likeness to them, though they appear fairly dull all around with no real edge to them, until the user charges magic into them in which the blades will sharpen.
  • Soul Robber, made of Vitrum flexile it allows her to enter someone's mind as long she maintains physical contact with that glove, by connecting the user's soul to another's. It could also be used to rob souls... But that requires a lot of will-power and skill to do.
  • A shiny green wristband with the Floran insignia of a red flower on it. It is made of Vitrum flexile and acts as a both a databank for storing information and experiences she doesn't wish to forget, and also allows her to link up with the minds of others if they keep contact with the screen. It also contains her Simulacrum, designed in the likeness of a particular Floran she knew, she finds it relaxing to 'escape' into the wristband to talk with her simulacrum about what has been troubling her.
Those who link up with the Floran in her own mindscape would find themselves in an awe-inspiring scene, a large meadow full of various types of flowers, some even gigantic, ranging from giant daisies, rose-like trees and huge bluebell-like plants. It would be at night with a large desert planet in the background and the stars twinkling in the night sky... Not just that though, but the weather is sparkling rain, a beautiful sparkling 'rain' that illuminates the surroundings as if falls and vanish upon hitting the ground, not causing any damage to the surroundings.
  • A freeze ray/freeze gun upgraded by a borg. It has a sleek design and a faint green glow.
  • A leather backpack.
  • Flasks for carrying water for on long journeys.
  • Dried meat, or as humans call it, Jerky.
  • Dried Fruits.
  • A universal translator.
  • Poisons and Antitoxins/Antidotes.
  • Some other stuff such as books, spare clothes and first aid kits.
  • A golden tiara, white dress and diamond necklace... Rarely ever worn though.
Personality:
Thorn-Dancer would often be considered naive and silly due to the way she speaks and over-excitable and enthusiastic attitude, however despite the way Thorn-Dancer acts off the hunt... She is a lot more intelligent and vicious than one would think. Thorn-Dancer is a typical Floran, focusing on survival, getting stronger and reproduction, the three basic instincts, and does not care if her chosen meal happens to be sentient or not...
Thorn-Dancer is a fast learner and often forms complex and creative strategies when it comes to hunting down prey... Or her enemies. When one encounters a plant-like being, they often expect them to be peaceful, harmless little flowers... Though Thorn-Dancer uses this misinformation to her advantage.

However, despite this, Thorn-Dancer isn't evil. In-fact, the best way to describe her alignment would be 'Chaotic Neutral.' She doesn't kill out of spite or malice, only for survival, and is more than willing to help what would be prey if she saw some benefit out of it. To her, killing a human for example would be just doing what she can to survive, and isn't anymore wrong compared to killing and eating an animal. That is Thorn-Dancer's logic she sticks to. However, Thorn-Dancer would never hunt anyone who has helped her, anyone she has helped or anyone that she just takes a liking to as they are out of the prey zone and into the friend zone.
She is also a fiercely independent Floran. Very proud in nature and would do anything within her power to retain her freedom. It is impossible to tame her, but rather become her friend. However, despite her stubbornly self-reliant nature, Thorn adores the company of others that show her love and as long as her boundaries are respected, earning her trust. Once befriended, Thorn is a powerful and loyal ally at all times, caring greatly for those she accepts into her family... Her coon-kin.

Thorn is an emotional wreck who at the same time is very strong in enduring such feelings that she has... She still feels bad when she sees everyone being all lovey-dovey, but does her best to hide it... But blames what she is on the fact she hasn't found anyone yet.
Thorn due to being around fleshy beings so long has started to... Well, loathe not being like them and envying her coon-kin because they are so different from her in so many ways it... Really hurts the poor plant... Jent and Swix are having a child and Thorn is still well... Alone... She knows if she ever got in a relationship with someone of another race, she'd never have such a close bond like Swix and Jent do... And also knows she would never be able to experience pleasure the same way or even experience the joys (and even the down sides) of pregnancy due to how her race's reproduction works.

She wishes to defend her coon-kin... Which she feels a strong desire to hunt and eat due to her hunting instincts, and wishes to re-link with her old friend Vineblade, but got scared away after hearing of Vine's possessive lover who would apparently kill everyone Thorn cares for if the Floran ever drew blood or even made Vine sad... A thing Thorn does not wish to risk at all. She used to hunt at night and enjoyed it, where she had the cover of darkness before arriving in Pax... Now she hates the idea of going out at night and is even weary of hunting in the day, being scared of almost every shadow in fear of C.

Thorn hides these insecurities the best she can around her coon-kin, acting cheerful and happy, but when she is alone... She is often found sitting in her room thinking quietly to herself... After having so much trouble with mental silence and having mental links formed... The Floran still chooses to suffer in silence rather than to trouble those who she cares for. She knows they would be unable to help her with her insecurities, which is why she tries to keep these feelings to herself so her coon-kin does not worry... The time when she was about to explain these issues in depth, in a meeting, she was interrupted before she could even start and then lost all the courage that she had managed to muster up.

Weakness':
Thorn-Dancer is afraid of fire and electricity, since her body is highly flammable she has good reason too. Thorn-Dancer can also be distracted rather easily, and can switch from hunting mode to chatty mode within seconds if her prey catches her interest in some way.
Thorn-Dancer is also rather gullible, and could easily be manipulated by others if they are out of her food category and into the friend one.

"Notes on Floran Biology:

Due to a reliance on natural water sources thanks to the Floran's [REDACTED] roots, it transpires that Floran biology leaves individuals susceptible to extreme heat. All Florans know that fire equals danger, but many are unaware of the toll that dry, humid conditions can take on the body.

Prolonged exposure to desert climate can leave Florans in a mummified, barely living state, before they eventually succumb to the elements, crumbling to dust. As the species expands its territory, it has been important to find ways in which the Florans can adapt their biology in order to survive inhospitable climes."

History: Not much is known about Thorn-Dancer's history, despite from the fact that she was part of a large coon-kin (Family in Floran, short for Cocoon-Kin) and was, and still is, a hunter of great skill. Thorn-Dancer doesn't talk much about the past, saying she prefers to focus on surviving in the present.

A rough idea of what her ship was like/her room in the temple HQ.
Thorn has a more technical and modern taste in decor, though she kept her traditional Floran bed as a keepsake of her Coon-kin. =P
Her 'room' is like a mini base in itself. XD
I also have gotten quite fond of the green/gold combo in colours, they both go surprisingly well together.

<hr />

For those who do not know much on how Floran think and talk... These pretty much sum it up:

"A Floran's Goal:

Ssstab. Ssstab, sssmash, hunt. Find glory, make good Floran. Ssstab. Get best kill. Win all of Florans. Sssow ssseeds of discord. Punch all of the prey.

Making friends would be nice too."

"Charcoal Writing:

Stab. Stab. Stab. Floran stab. Not learn numbers. Only count stabs. Floran not need times tables.
[Underneath, a 'D' has been written in red marker]"

And lastly...

"Tick, tock, tick, tock, hehehe."
(Observing a Glitch Wall Clock)

They are a crazy, terrifying, yet oddly adorable and amusing race... Which is why I love RPing as them so much&#33; XP

<hr />

Name: Radish

Gender: Plant, though Thorn calls it a her.

Specie: Plant Python.

Appearance: Image
Length: 7 ft

Abilities: Is a plant-snake... Can dig underground with only it's leaves on the surface to absorb nutrients from the earth and photosynthesis, or just lay on a warm rock to photosynthesis. It has no venom, as it is a constrictor and by coiling itself around it's prey, it can tighten itself around them, squeezing the air out of it's prey and then when the prey is dead, Radish unhinges it's jaws and swallows it's prey whole. Much like a common earth-snake. Radish also has a sensitive forked tongue it uses to 'smell' the air around it, it can also see based on heat, the more warmer something is, the more attractive it is to Radish.

Personality: Lazy and docile. Usually found either basking in the sun or buried in the ground like a... Radish, earning it's name. It doesn't mind being lifted up and handled by other people, as it enjoys the warmth and thus tends to coil around, 'hug', and squeeze people who handle it, even when Radish has no intention on consuming them. Whilst it normally hunts for food, Radish will not turn down someone offering it an easy meal, whether it would be a dead deer or a slab of meat.

Whilst lazy, and acts mostly like an earth-snake... There are some oddities in the plantile's behaviour. It likes to fetch things such as balls and sticks, much like a dog. It also likes to follow people around and shows quite a lot of curiosity, and even affection, which many find odd for a snake.

<hr />

Name: Fern-Biter

Gender: Plant. Thorn calls it a him.

Race: Genetically Modified Flora Canine.

Occupation: Pet of a Knight of Insanity

Appearance:
Image

Height: 5 ft tall on all fours.

Aura Colour: Emerald Green

Abilities:
Fern-Biter has a strong jaw full of razor sharp, thorn-like teeth, sharp claws and strong legs. This allows him to forcefully leap at his foes/prey to knock them off their feet to make them vulnerable to any attacks by his allies. Fern-Biter is very agile and swift, using these skills to chase sticks thrown, or to chase down prey.
He is also able to dig quickly to unearth buried food/treasure.

Fern-Biter also has a powerful sense of smell and memory, being able to track those he knows via scent. Also like a canine, Fern-Biter has a powerful sense of hearing, being able to pick up sounds that ordinary people cannot hear, such as dog whistles for example. Fern-Biter can also see in low light conditions.

Fern-Biter has a mental link with his master, Thorn-Dancer, allowing them to communicate in complete silence, which aids the both of them when hunting.
Fern-Biter has some magical affinity, unlike his master, and with a mighty howl he can cast regenerative magic to nearby allies, and he himself using his plant affinity to rapidly regenerate wounds. Fern-Biter can also glow a soft green light on command... This being a trait he earned from the local plants of Ana.

Personality:
Fern-Biter views Thorn-Dancer and her friends as part of his pack, and Thorn being the leader and his master. He is extremely loyal and will fight fiercely for his pack in order to defend them and with Vine, to provide food for allies via hunting.
Though Fern-Biter is weary of strangers, he will not attack without reason. Acting aloof towards them and the most he does is growl and bark at the strangers when they approach in an attempt to scare them off. However if given food, Fern-Biter will quickly become your friend for life.

Fern-Biter is highly social and loves behind his ears being scratched and his belly being rubbed, and also adores playing fetch. He is also highly intelligent and enjoys preforming tricks in return for treats. He is also a big lapdog and often jumps onto people's laps for a cuddle. So even though he is a fierce and skilled hunter, he is a big puppy at heart towards those he and his master care for.

History:
Thorn-Dancer was having issues with hunting due to her red-leafed colouration giving her away in the more green plantlife of Ana, and she was getting bored of fishing and hunting small game such as birds and occasionally deer and that large prey was much harder and more dangerous to take down by herself... So she decided to make herself her own hunting partner and pet using the equipment in her room, which is a complete and detailed replica of the interior of her own ship.

Using both her own DNA, from an unfertilized Floran seed and the DNA of a canine she hunted. As well as the DNA of some of the local plants on Ana, Thorn created Fern-Biter. Her loyal pet, trusted hunting partner and cherished friend.

Mage of Mist's Characters

by Mage of Mist
Name: Wisp

Gender: Female

Race: Ryori

Occupation: Agent/Spy

Appearance:
Image

Without Headdress:
Image

Abilities:
"Ryories are mostly incorporeal creatures that only appear during a brief period of time in the fall season. Due to their ghostly manner, it is impossible to determine their actual weight. This feature also allows them to float through the air nearly effortlessly, which can be quite a sight when seen for the first time. It is assumed that the Ryori reside in the Plane of Shadows, but that is just a theory."

"The most obvious feature of the Ryori is its ghostly body, which is partially corporeal and partially incorporeal. This feature grants them a great deal of agility, making them difficult challengers in battle. Another unique feature that Ryories have is a cluster of magical spheres that orbit around their necks. It is thought that these orbs supply the Ryories with energy and that if they are destroyed, so is the Ryori. "

They are very hard to catch as they can switch between corporeal and incorporeal at will, as they are not tied to one particular dimension... If in danger, Wisp will just blink out of existence and then re-appear somewhere safer.
Wisp also has her own little plane, an abandoned pocket dimension she uses to store her things and also to sleep. To someone larger than 2 feet in height, the pocket dimension would be rather cramped, but for Wisp, it is the perfect size. Best thing to compare her mini-dimension to is a wardrobe.

Wisp has Biological Immortality, as in she can not die of old age, but can still be killed. Wisp also doesn't need to eat or drink, though she does so anyways because she can still taste things. Wisp naturally feeds off ambient magic surrounding her, and the more solidified she is in a world, the more energy she needs to consume... Though due to her small size, it isn't that much of a problem as she doesn't need much to sustain her anyways.
Some speculate the foods she eats gets converted into magical energy in her body, though this hasn't been proven or disproved yet by Wisp.

Wisp is able to send parts of herself, often her tail, to other locations/dimensions as a 'Bookmark/fast travel' point, which helps her if she ends up getting lost in between dimensions during her wandering if she hasn't got that particular area memorized fully.
Wisp can also pull things in and out of different worlds she is connected to, and is almost always connected to her little pocket dimension she calls home.
Wisp can also bring living beings with her, however due to the speed she travels at, how bumpy it can be due to her sometimes struggling to carry them and also due to how many fast turns she tends to do, it can be rather nauseating if one isn't expecting it and/or used to it.

During her travels, Wisp has come across many different worlds and learnt some tricks in the process. At one point Wisp had arrived in the world of Pokemon and grew intrigued by the Ghost and Dark type Pokemon there.
Wisp cannot shapeshift, but she CAN however alter the spare energy surrounding her into a shape and solidify it somewhat, though it isn't fully shapeshifting as she cannot completely change her form. An example of this is her lengthening her claws for a 'Shadow Claw' attack.
It is possible for her to learn how to shapeshift fully, but the reason Wisp never really tried learning is because she likes her natural, feline-like form.

Type: Would most likely be a Dark/Ghost combo.

Special Ability:
Infiltrator

Known Moves:
  • Shadow Claw (Ghost)
  • Shadow Ball (Ghost)
  • Feint Attack (Dark)
  • Shadow Sneak (Ghost)
  • Pursuit (Dark)
  • Hone Claws (Dark)
  • Foul Play (Dark)
  • Payback (Dark)
  • Baton Pass (Normal)
  • Punishment (Dark)
  • Knock Off (Dark)
  • Double Team (Normal)
  • Thief (Dark)
  • Nasty Plot (Dark)
  • Will-O-Wisp (Fire)
  • Confuse Ray (Ghost)
  • Me First (Normal)
  • Growl (Normal)
  • Leer (Normal)
  • Torment (Dark)

Set in groups of four so they are easier to read. In the Pokemon world she was in, Pokemon were not limited to four moves.
Personality: Wisp is light hearted, playful and cheerful in nature. Wisp loves to eat and has a large appetite, and loves sweet things such as candies and often blinks into peoples homes to steal sweets and fruit... And maybe something shiny whilst she is at it.

Wisp is also very mischievous and loves to see the scared looks on people's faces. Often she will hide in the shadows with only her eyes visible, occasionally letting out an eerie giggle before suddenly pouncing at them, however she would never hurt anyone and quickly vanishes after scaring her target and having a good laugh.
Wisp also likes it when someone tries chasing her, since she knows she is in no real danger due to her ability to shift between planes, she will often taunt her pursuer by letting them get close or corner her before she vanishes.

The only fighting Wisp likes, is playfighting and sparring. However if a danger persists long enough that is too persistent to stop chasing her, Wisp will give up fleeing and instead attack... Much often to the surprise of the pursuer. Wisp doesn't like to harm others, scaring them is fair game, but causing physical harm that could endanger their lives is not something she would do, but if she has to fight, she won't hold back since if she is at that point she needs to fight holding back would most likely get her in even more danger.

If people who do not flee from her in terror when she jumps out at them in order to scare them often catch her interest, and this often leads to an awkward almost one sided conversation once the person gets the chatter-box of a Ryori talking, as she can 'rattle more than a tin of marbles' as some say. Many people are rather shocked at how... Nice Wisp is considering how she looks and the fact that she most likely leaped out at them.
Whilst it is very easy to befriend Wisp... Friendship and trust are two different things to her, and whilst she may be your best friend, she would still never fully materialize in case something happens, as she is very vulnerable in that state.

Wisp loves it when people give her gifts such as shiny objects and food, even though she doesn't need to eat to survive, she still likes the taste of food and is quite the glutton... Makes one wonder where it all goes.
Wisp also loves to explore other worlds and dimensions, and her dimensional travelling ended up getting her here in Pax as her interest was caught by the Celestial Winds she felt.

(I don't know when I will use this character in an RP, though Thorn has mentioned him a lot so I decided to make a character page for him)

Name: Irving Spheer

Nickname: Glitch-kin (By Thorn)

Gender: Neither, but prefers to be called a male.

Race: Glitch

Appearance:
Image

Equipment:
  • A war axe, his main weapon.
  • A Knife.
  • A backpack to carry supplies.
  • Casual clothes to wear when not in his armor.
  • Spare parts.
  • Food and water to be used as bio-fuel.
  • A few other things he may pick up.
Abilities:
Curious. You wish to assess my abilities.

Explanatory. As one may see, I am a robot. I have superior strength to Humans and Floran. I need to eat to replenish my bio-fuel, and I can see in total darkness due to my built in night vision.

Amusement. I use my strength and that ability to keep my eye out for Thorn, whom affectionately loves to tackle me and often dents me and scratches my paint.

Explanatory. Back on topic. I am very skilled in using swords, crossbows, maces and axes, however I do not go well with guns, they just do not agree me. As long as my memory chip is intact, I cannot be killed, as I can be rebuilt anew, however my pain receptors ensure I feel pain so I do not die by neglect.

Personality:

Pondering. Personality.

Explanatory. Yes, there is. I have limited facial expressions and vocal pitches, so if I did not state my mood, people would not be able to tell how I was.

Serious. I am very loyal to those who befriend me, and care lots about my friends. I would willingly put my life on the line in order to defend those that I care for. If anyone hurts Thorn, they answer to my axe.

Cheerful. On lighter note, I love to hear others laugh.

Serious. But do not expect me to put my dignity behind myself as I do with Thorn, she is an exception as she saved me from becoming scrap metal, I have a high tolerance, but when enough is enough, I let it be known.

Courteous. Have a nice day now you know about me.

Puzzled. You wish to know more.

Teasing. You sure are nosy.

Annoyance. I was a Knight defending the king of Glitch when I bumped my head, after that I was severed from the collective and mental processors un-stunted, which lead to my exile.

Informative. I am very intelligent, having broken out of the collective of Glitch and my mental processors are not stunted. I was exiled for being a 'malfunction' as they could not see in my head, and thus feared what was in my head. All I know is about my kind that we are an experimental simulation, however us Glitch do not know who created us.

Pondering. I often daydream of who could possibly have created my kind, though it is a mystery that will most likely never be resolved.

Charmed. Now that I have done, have a nice day. I shall not speak anymore in this bio.

Positive. If something comes up that needs to be added, I shall add it.

(A character meant for Kata, though due to the implants he has, he can be pretty much anywhere. Though he is more comfortable with colder climates)

The symbol of the Avali

Name: Rechomi

Gender: Male

Race: Avali (The Wiki)
<blockquote class='quote_blockquote'><dl><dt>Quote:</dt><dd>&nbsp;</dd></dl><div>"the Avali are nomadic pack hunters from an iceball world far outside the goldilocks zone of their local star. As such, they evolved with more of a focus on sound than eyesight, have 4 very sensitive ears and, unsurprisingly, a culture that values sound and music more than visual arts. Since being uplifted by another species (albeit accidentally, their former "benefactors" did eventually try to wipe them out), they are now teetering on the brink of technological singularity, and so display a paradoxical mixture of high-technology and nomadic tribal culture."

"For those who prefer a brief introduction; if the Avali were to be summarized in a single barrage of adjectives it would be: "four-earred, diminutive, post-singularity, fluffy, nomadic, avian, space-raptor hunters/singersâ€.
Previous Occupation/Pack Role: Scout and Hunter/Forager.

Current Occupation: N/A (Will fill in if he gets a job XD)

Appearance: Image
Larger Image
<blockquote class='quote_blockquote'><dl><dt>The Avali Wiki</dt><dd>&nbsp;</dd></dl><div>"The iridescent colors seen in the feathers of males arise from the refraction of light passing through the barbules (as seen in peacocks), rather than due to actual pigmentation in the feathers, and as such "shimmer" with a range of colors when viewed from different angles."
Height:
Head to Talons: 3 feet.
Nose to tail tip: 4 foot 11.

Aura Colour: Deep Orange Red.

Blood Colour: Pale violet.

Racial Abilities:
<blockquote class='quote_blockquote'><dl><dt>The Avali Wiki</dt><dd>&nbsp;</dd></dl><div>"Their wing feathers allow them to glide extensively and even fly to some extent on their homeworld of Avalon, but are far less useful on higher-gravity worlds. Avali on other planets are often only able to make controlled glides and break falls on their own, and cannot truly fly unaided."

"Similarly to Earth birds, the Avali possess an entire range of specialized feathers: their upper body has slicker and oilier feathers to protect from dry and abrasive snowstorms, while their lower body has lighter, fluffier down feathers that help to insulate the core body. They also possess pulviplumes, specialized down feathers that regenerate continuously. The outer barbules break off and help to oil and powder the other feathers, keeping them in pristine condition."

"their primary sense is hearing. Their four long, independently mobile ears can pick up sounds from multiple directions at once. Avali auditory processing is wired at a neuronal level to build not only a continuously-updating 3D map of their surroundings based on reflected sound, but to also distinguish and track multiple individual sound sources. This uncanny hearing gives the impression of blind sight, being able to "spot" and track creatures outside of line of sight. Because of this highly audio-centric physiology, the Avali are also capable of rapid, even simultaneous, conversations with one another, a crucial part of their pack-central society. Instead of taking turns talking, a resolution can be found in a matter of seconds."

"Because of the importance of sharp hearing to their continued survival as a race, the Avali have internal mechanisms that serve to protect their hearing from loud noises. Tiny filaments on the tips of their ears detect incoming noises above a certain volume threshold and reflexively relax the inner organs of the ear before the shockwave reaches them. This helps protect the Avali from hearing loss and gives them some resistance to sonic weaponry, though ear protection is still recommended for prolonged exposure to loud noises or above a certain threshold of volume."

"Ammonia freezing does not produce expansion or formation of dangerous crystals in the same manner as water freezing to ice. While losing circulation in an extremity is still a critical situation, the Avali are able to recover from situations that would leave an Earth creature frostbitten and in danger of resulting gangrene. As a result, Avali are much more resilient to cryogenic techniques, and can weather extreme cold that would certainly kill a typical water-based humanoid."
Weakness:
If for some reason the thermal regulators that keeps his body temperature stable malfunction or stop working, any temperature above -27 Celsius will cause incapacitation and death by the formation of gaseous bubbles in his bloodstream.

<blockquote class='quote_blockquote'><dl><dt>The Avali Wiki</dt><dd>&nbsp;</dd></dl><div>"The long feathers, such as those on the arms and crest, have a healthy blood supply at their roots and can bleed profusely if they are broken off or pulled out, though this does not pose a significant health risk. Feathers lost in that way will regrow after several weeks."

"Since ammonia biology is not as efficient as water based biologies, the Avali possess a relatively slower metabolism (though their metabolism is relatively fast for their homeworld). To work around this, Avali biochemistry builds up reserves of glycogen-equivalent molecules while resting, which are then tapped for energy when required, such as under duress, while hunting or during bouts of physical exertion. This ability to stockpile energy in a readily accessible form gives them a huge advantage over the native fauna, but also gives them very low stamina."

"Their adaptations for surviving in higher temperatures are so extreme, however, that they struggle to survive in the polar regions of their own world without thermal clothing. Their body fluids will freeze quicker than expected for ammonia in extreme cold, which is why they typically thrive in the hot, arid, icy tundras of their own world."
Both Useful and Weakness:
<blockquote class='quote_blockquote'><dl><dt>The Avali Wiki</dt><dd>&nbsp;</dd></dl><div>"While the Avali possess large eyes, this is purely to provide some measure of eyesight in the very low light levels of their homeworld. Due to their homeworld’s great distance from its sun, the Avali can see some colors in the infrared spectrum when operating in low light levels similar to their native environment’s. However, because Avali lack a true iris, they often cannot see at all in bright daylight since their eyes cannot adjust much if at all to increased or decreased light levels."

"The large surface area of their long ears also serves as an adaptation to prevent overheating by serving as radiators, providing an effective method for the dissipation of heat in their relatively hot native desert environment. As such, the warm, insulated ear flaps seen on Avali clothing designed for cooler climates serve as a crucial part of cold weather gear."
Because of his biology his body temperature is very low, so despite his soft feathers, he wouldn't be very cuddly.

Tech:
Rechomi has thermal regulators implanted in his body that help him maintain a stable core temperature outside of his normal 'hot icy' environment.

Rechomi has the Pulse Jump tech which provides a large boost in jumping ability by releasing a pulse of energy under his talons after jumping and activating it. Has has the Energy Dash tech, giving him a boost of speed when activated when he is running.

Rechomi has the Shield tech, whilst it only lasts 10 seconds, it creates a shield that absorbs damage. He also has equipped the Radiation Protection tech, which is a passive tech that activates by itself, protecting the him from the deadly radiation found on some planets. Also supplies oxygen in airless environments.

<blockquote class='quote_blockquote'><dl><dt>The Avali Wiki</dt><dd>&nbsp;</dd></dl><div>"Guardian-class nanites are properly a combination of many different strains of nanotech working in unison, they all serve the function of preventing, repairing, and isolating sickness, disease, and cancers. Guardian-class nanites greatly enhance the immune-system response of their hosts, as well as increasing the healing rate of injuries and having the capability to seal traumatic injuries. Though they cannot cure or prevent cancers or radiological damage, they can and do isolate tumors and other foreign material. In case of such an event, the medical controller chip can alert the host of the development for a proper checkup."
Equipment:
  • A Hunting Rifle.
  • Steel Avali Armor.
  • A Translator.
  • Matter Manipulator.
  • An Ocarina.
  • An Electric Torch.
  • Nanostove for cooking.
  • Food and Water.
  • Diamond Drill.
  • Medical Kits and Nanowrap Bandages.
  • Soft Avali Pillows and Blankets.
  • A Hammock.
Personality:
Rechomi is very confident in his abilities and due to his race having descended from apex predator pack hunters, he is used to being the one in control of the situation; other creatures are his prey, not his hunters.
However he does not panic when things start to spiral out of his control, when faced by uncertainty, he would rather back up and think carefully over the situation rather than rush in and improvise, as rushing in on an ill planned attack would most likely lead to him crushed by his own prey in it's terrified flailing, due to the prey on his homeworld, Avalon, are often much bigger than the Avali.

This is not something he wants to happen in his strong will-powered, survival-oriented mind. If confronted directly Rechomi prefers to make a tactical retreat to lure out the opponent and then strike them in the flank; whether metaphorically in conversation, or literally in a fight.

Rechomi is both realistic and at the same time, has a lot of creative power. When hunting, especially if he is alone, often tries to use his environment around him to his advantage and/or set traps.
Such as when he is hunting in a cave and gets chased by a predator and Rechomi notices some large icicles on the ceiling, he will try to either get the beast chasing him to ram into a wall to dislodge them if large enough, or he will shoot at the icicles in hopes to dislodge them when the predator/prey is under it.

When encountering something new, he would rather study it from a distance to see if it is a threat or not before trying to make contact with the being or object, though he doesn't hunt usually hunt warm-blooded beings, he will if there aren't any other food sources. However he would never knowingly hunt another sentient being.

Rechomi tends to be a lot more active than most Avali, though he still takes power naps every now and then. This is thought to be due to his diet, as he loves to eat cooked meals and foods from other worlds, and likes to munch on plants every now and then to supplement his diet.

Rechomi is very social and loves to mingle in with other races and beings to learn more about their culture, culinary practices and music tastes, he also is very affectionate towards his friends and tends to hug a lot... Though due to his core body temperature being so low it isn't as comfortable as one might think. He is also very talkative and likes to sing, and due to his acute hearing, can also mimic sounds and voices he hears and play songs just by listening to it once, which would make him a good messenger, especially on low gravity worlds with dense atmospheres where he can glide/pseudo fly. He also has a habit of annoying people that he doesn't like by repeating what they say either in their voice, or in a silly one.

Rechomi is rather used to being separated from his his pack as this has happened a quite a few times before on scouting missions, however he does tend to suffer from compulsive behaviours such as intensive preening and suffers from delusions if he is left alone too long without any contact with any other sentient beings.

Mage of Mist's Characters

by Mage of Mist
Name: 'Mesti'
(Means 'Me/I' in Agaran. Isn't it's true name, but it is what others started calling it)

Gender: Parasite, prefers no particular pronouns.

Race: Agaran

Appearance: Image

Height: 8 ft 4

Abilities: Agarans are stronger and faster than Florans, and can see in very low light conditions. It is best at using daggers and swords, those being it's main skills. It also, thanks to the memories of it's host, can read Binary code.
It can spread spores from it's mushroom cap that tends to render non-Floran into a drunken stupor. For Floran, it turns them into other Agaran if they are not immune. It can control whether is spread spores or not, and usually keeps it deactivated when not needed.

"Florans gain energy and nutrients by a combination of photosynthesis and digestion of food. Photosynthesis would produce glucose while emitting oxygen, to provide energy, and digestion of meat (and possibly plant matter) would provide the nutrients to grow." (Starbound Wiki)

Personality: The Agaran is very energetic and curious over other races, however it isn't a threat to non-Floran and is not hostile unless attacked. It however is rather hostile to Floran, especially to ones it cannot infect. Whilst it does know many languages, as it is shown to understand them, it doesn't seem that interested in talking in them and usually sticks to it's own language, unless baited by candy or curiosity. It appears very simple-minded and childish, often snickering and giggling over small things such as someone falling over, however no one is fully sure about how intelligent it is.

It loves sugar and sweet things, and is often willing to do deeds for others, not caring whether if it is a good deed like helping someone cross a road or a bad deed such as murder... All for a piece of candy.
Due to the fact t is separated from it's collective, it has been having repressed memories of it's host pop up and is starting to have an identity crisis, it has also found itself growing rather attached to The Girl in Grey, a goo, though often wonders to itself why it has such a strong feeling to protect something that it cannot infect...

History: Was previously a Floran Village Guard prior Agaran infection, and also before infection, 'Mesti' used to love stargazing Loving the sight of the night stars and was very curious of them. Not much other than this is known.

Mage of Mist's Characters

by Mage of Mist
Name: Sakuya Yuki

Gender: Female

Race: Hylotl

Occupation: Missionary of Peace
(Though sometimes feels it is the opposite)

Appearance: Image
Height: 5 ft 3

Abilities:

Gills:
These gills allow Sakuya to be able to filter oxygen out of the water and into her lungs, allowing her to stay underwater.

Adept Swimmer:
Due to being an amphibious semi-aquatic race, Sakuya is a very skilled and agile swimmer. She is also able to tolerate strong water pressures due to her kind usually making their cities on ocean floors.

Regeneration:
The extreme regenerative abilities of the Hylotl allow them to recover from serious injuries and even regrow limbs over time after losing them. Sakuya can still die from blood-loss however.

Years of training with swordsmanship and martial arts:
Despite being a pacifist, she is very skilled in fighting for self-defense.

Blessings:

Gorgon Blessing - Immunity to Petrification:
Only Sakuya's eyes get petrified from anything that causes the condition, all three immediately adopting the appearance of solid stone. However, her sight miraculously isn't hindered in the slightest by the change. Half a week and they are back to normal until they need to shield her again. Works on Gorgons, Basilisk, Cockatrice and many more.

Sakuya got this blessing in Mirror-Pax inside of Mirror-C's painting, defending a Frantic Gorgon Mother from the Skeletal Minotaur that she was monster-hunting with, and helping to find her two Giant Python children and saved them with the aid of Anima.

Weakness:

'The Hylotl Curse'/'Hylotl Luck':
“Unfortunately, despite their noble ideals, the Hylotl's kind nature has regularly put them on the receiving end of another race's weapons.”

Thin Skin:
Sakuya has thin skin that dries out easily unless Sakuya either stays hydrated or is in a damp/humid environment.

Gills:
The gills on the sides of her body, whilst they allow her to breathe in water, are a major weak point for attacks and it is very easy to wind her by striking there.

Equipment:
  • Spare Kimono robes.
  • Spare Trainee clothes.
  • A pouch she wears around her waist.
  • A katana-like sword she straps to her back, she hardly ever uses it though.
  • Food and LOTS of water.
Personality:
Sakuya is a pacifist that views fighting as a last resort and tries her best to avoid it... Though this often puts her in danger due to her trying to avoid fighting due to trying to find a peaceful, non-lethal solution to the problem at hand. Sakuya is usually very polite, soft-spoken and quiet, almost always introducing herself with a bow out of politeness, and does not judge a race by the actions of a few, nor does she judge one by their appearance. She also understands that due to her normally quiet voice that she may need to repeat what she says, as people may not hear her... Though she often misunderstands the meaning of “What did you say again?” in a more hostile sense.

Sakuya is a vegetarian, like most Hylotl she dislikes the taste and texture of meat, and her favourite colour, unsurprisingly, is pink. She usually goes on walks or reads books/records to study Pax and the various creatures and races that inhabit it to relax, she also likes to drink tea and often offers to make some for her friends when they are feeling down.
Sakuya does her best to help others and tries her best to look strong in situations which appear bleak and so she often hiding her true emotions and views on what is going on for the sake of others, feeling that if she appears strong, she will inspire others to be brave also... Sadly her trying to help often puts her on the end of weapons, such as when she tried to help the Girl in Grey back onto her feet and calm her down after Solveig and Thorn-Dancer jumped the goo... And got stabbed in the stomach despite being the only innocent in the three, having only been trying to keep Thorn and Solveig out of trouble... As I mentioned, she has very bad luck that she refers to as the 'The Hylotl Curse' or 'Hylotl Luck'.

Sakuya wishes for a world of peace, however she knows that there can't be complete peace if there isn't something that occurs every now and then to bring people together, but at the same time, there can't be bad things happening 24/7 either... There needs to be a balance, which she hopes to set in Pax, as it is her job as a Missionary of Peace. Sakuya can also be a little annoying due to how much she focuses on rules, example here:

I found it rather amusing. XP
<blockquote class='quote_blockquote'><dl><dt>Sakuya Yuki to Skathi OOC</dt><dd>&nbsp;</dd></dl><div>
15 Jan 15, 01:31 PM
Skathi: ((* "... Keh.* *The huldra leaps away into the trees.*))

15 Jan 15, 01:31 PM
Sakuya Yuki: (("Well, what do you have to say for yourself?" *Folds arms, almost as if scolding a child.*))

15 Jan 15, 01:29 PM
Skathi: ((*The hunter stands there... silent.*))

15 Jan 15, 01:28 PM
Sakuya Yuki: (("Fangblaze was non-hostile towards me, so you 'defending' me was an act of assault rather than defense." *She said sternly* "I am a Missionary of Peace, I know how to interact with other races... Although Nightmares are new, we were just having a pleasant conversation over the importance of books"))

15 Jan 15, 01:24 PM
Skathi: ((*Staring at the Hylotl, then looks to the sky.* "..." *Curses under her breath.*))

15 Jan 15, 01:23 PM
Sakuya Yuki: (("That 'I am not physically strong, but my negotiation skills are my strength, the pen is mightier than the sword, or bow and arrows in this case.'" *She repeated*))

15 Jan 15, 01:22 PM
Skathi: ((*Glares at Sakuya.* "What did you say again?"))

15 Jan 15, 01:21 PM
Sakuya Yuki: (("I am not physically strong, but my negotiation skills are my strength... The pen is mightier than the sword... Or bow and arrows in this case"))

15 Jan 15, 01:20 PM
Skathi: (("Perhaps if you were stronger I wouldn't have to watch out for your butt.")

15 Jan 15, 01:19 PM
Sakuya Yuki: (("Seriously, is it really that hard to have a pleasant conversation before it starts raining arrows from who-knows-where?"))
It is probably a good reason she and DP do not interact as much... She is too orderly and lawful. Sakuya also finds the chair arrangement in the Au’Marui’s temple very agitating to her, due to the bizarre assortment. Though her current coping mechanism in order to stop herself from pushing them into lines is to view it as a form of abstract art.

Due to being a Missionary of Peace, she has rules that she sticks to:
  • "As a Missionary of Peace, I should refrain from sexual misconduct, and so I shall not partake in lustful bodily contact, be it with man, beast or... Tree or living armour, or more like any living being.
My body is my Temple, and a Temple is not to be defiled or messed with..."
  • "A Missionary of Peace must also refrain from intentionally bringing about the death of another being." - Unless there are no other options, such as when infected with the Frenzy Virus or in a life and death situation that cannot be solved peacefully or be escaped from.
  • "I shall not consume meat, or the produce created from living beings other than plants knowingly unless on the verge of starvation and death."

by Mage of Mist
Name: Vedvrii Lujusk

Gender: Male

Race: Dark Mana Draconian

Appearance:
Image

Height: 10 ft

Abilities:
Vedvrii is very skilled in using magic, ability to use telepathy, ability to survive in magma, some resistance to cold. His extremely dark hardened scales give him both magic and physical resistance... Though the reason he is resistant to magic is because his scales absorb most of the magic cast on him. The sharp and deadly bladed tail makes a good can and bottle opener. He has sharp hearing and eyesight, his glowing red eyes giving him excellent night vision, making it hard to both sneak up on him, but also to hide from him. He can also make a 'smokescreen' by releasing an obscuring cloud of smoke in order to hinder the vision of his foes for if he needs to make an escape.

Vedvrii is able to handle raw mana thanks to his scales, and can even process it to be safe enough for other races to handle it and use safely. If he is feeling generous, he may even use some of his shedded scales to make dragon-hide gloves for the more thin-skinned races to allow them to do the same. His bones and scales are rich with dark element mana. However, his bones contain a much lower concentration of mana than the scales. He is capable of powerful spells of other elements also by channeling the mana he has devoured to use.

<blockquote class='quote_blockquote'><dl><dt>Dragon Cave Encyclopedia</dt><dd>&nbsp;</dd></dl><div>"The energy to power all forms of magic comes from a substance called mana. This liquid provides the energy that is utilized when casting a spell (or otherwise using magic).

Mana can be found naturally in pools, springs, or as solid crystals. Mana in this “raw” form is very potent, but must be refined before it can be used by humans (dragons, on the other hand, are generally able to make use of raw mana as-is)."

"Spells are the willful use of magic by sentient creatures. This is how humans interact with magic: expressions of the caster’s will. It is believed that it is possible to devise a spell to accomplish any feat, so long as there is enough mana and dedication to power it."
Spells:
  • Lot Oblaanvu Briin ("Great Endless Ocean")
Summons a tidal wave to sweep away his foes.
  • Parok Prenlon do Yolos ("Scorching Ring of Flames")
Makes a vortex of fire surround his foes.
  • Rekiik Fo Su'um ("Sheer Frost Breath")
He breathes out a stream of freezing cold frosty air.
  • Norok Yolus Su'um ("Fierce Fiery Breath")
He breathes out a stream of fiercely hot flames.
  • Niiv do Vulom ("Ball of Darkness")
He forms a ball of darkness in-between his hands and fires it at his target.
  • Vasik Graaz ("Draining Slash")
Coats his claws or tail-blade in a strange aura and slashes at his foes with energy-draining slash, restoring any energy he lost.
  • Kip ("Food")
He can “convert” mana to food by way of using spells to conjure edible things, but this is not a net-positive on energy. He mainly does this if he has too much mana in his body in order to 'vent' some out harmlessly, and so that he can acquire the mana again when needed by eating the magical food.

    - - - -
There is more, though I will list them later.
Weakness':
He is left in an especially weakened and disoriented state when exposed to a nullifying field of magic and his fire-breathing is fueled by mana, rather than being a biological process.

Personality:
Despite how dark and imposing his visage is, Vedvrii Lujusk would rather sit down and read a good book than to raze villages like one may expect at first sight. He is naturally quiet in nature and would rather read than to interact, but Vedvrii is respectful and polite, although he is not very talkative, as long as he is treated with respect in return. Sci-fi is his favorite genre of books, though he mainly reads magic books and cooking books as he loves to learn about new spells and especially how to cook new and exotic meals. However, this draconian is not all friendly as he may seem, treat him with disrespect or wrong him in any way and you shall quickly find that out. Lets just say, that bladed tail, antlers and those claws are not just for show, and he would love to practice new spells he came up with or learned on those who disrespect him as punishment... Especially if someone insults him using the fact he is wingless, he is rather sensitive about that.

Like most dragons, he has an attraction to shiny objects and loves to hoard them, picking up shiny objects he finds and carrying them around until he reaches his lair, be this a cave or more modern dwelling such as a house, then he will decorate his 'lair' with these objects. Such things also include mana crystals and also scales of other dragons. Vedvrii also hoards books he finds in such 'lairs.' He is more active in doing this during near the end of February when spring starts for some reason, he says it is an instinctual behavior his kind has in order to attract mates.

Diet:
His saliva is extremely acidic to aid in melting down mana crystals and tough hides of his prey, and different teeth fall out and regrow on a frequent and regular basis with no hindrance to him, similar to sharks. He can digest almost anything thanks to the strong acids in his mouth and stomach, and thus can survive in environments where food is relatively scarce. He is carnivorous, and thus typically his primary diet consists of large game and pack animals, ignoring smaller animals to go after large prey to get more satisfying meals, swallowing meat and bone alike in large chunks. Occasionally he searches for magical creatures to eat, as consuming those with magic in their blood helps him replenish his bodily mana supplies. He is careful to avoid killing off entire herds however when hunting.

He has been seen fishing occasionally and “snacks” herbs, bark, grasses, vegetables, nuts, and other vegetation on rare occasions if available, as fibre is very important for a healthy digestive system. He would never admit it, but he enjoys bitter fruits such as lemons and grapefruit. He will swallow certain stones; and will even go so far as to break specific stones down to ingest them to get to the mana crystals that grow within. He does not need drink any liquids as he can survive on only the water contained in prey, and he does not require much liquid anyways. Although he is quite fond of alcoholic beverages and would gladly drink out of liquid mana springs to replenish his mana reserves.

Equipment:
  • A bag for carrying things.
  • His shedded scales.
  • Various Mana Crystals.
  • A small necklace, with an ornate bottle meant to store excess mana in it. (Gift from Au'Marui in exchange for fire-mana infused rock candy)
  • Various different spell scrolls.
  • Magic tomes and ordinary books.

Mage of Mist's Characters

by Mage of Mist
Name: Lotus Dewberry

Gender: Female

Race: Human/Manakete hybrid.
Looks human, but can transform.

Age: 20

Birthday: 23rd of November

Appearance:
Image
Height: 5 ft 4
Clothing: Usually a yellow or white shirt with a long red skirt, and a green corset holding a white apron decorated with blue flower patterns at the bottom. During special occasions she often wears a cherry-blossom pink kimono. In both attires she wears a black necklace with a gold pendant attached to it holding a blue topaz, and she often wears flowers in her hair.

Abilities: Can communicate with and understand wildlife and can sense and see spirits. Other than that, she is pretty much an ordinary human.
Previously unknown to Lotus, she has the ability to transform into a dragon due to being in possession of the "Manakete Gene", a gene that transforms her into a dragon. The mechanism that triggers transformation is a significantly massive exposure or/and a sudden surge of draconic energy, most easily obtained from dragonstones. Though it may also occur by a surge of anger or fear when combined with a lesser amount of draconic energy.

Dragon form:
Image
Height: 17 ft
Lotus' dragon form is lean and muscular with a very athletic, almost serpentine appearance. Her slender body make her light enough to be supported by tree branches, and agile enough to avoid obstacles while flying. She has a long, flexible neck, bright, vivid blue eyes and long tail. The tail is prehensile to a degree and helps steady her movements. She has large flexible wings for extended flight and the pinkish-purple wings and frills glow when infused with sunlight.
Her shimmering, iridescent purple scales are as hard as forged metal, these hardened, tightly attached scales prove as good protection against teeth, claws and most physical weapons. The very fine scales almost appear to be smooth-skinned apart for the prominent scutes that run the full length of her body, and the scales appear to glow in accordance with her mood. The scales also grow back quickly when removed, often due to injuries.

Dragon Form Abilities: Lotus is a graceful and quick flyer and is capable of precise aerial acrobatics and often performs acrobatic spins and twirls to entertain herself, due to this agility, Lotus is more than capable of outmaneuvering her opponents in flight. Lotus can reach very high altitudes and is a champion glider, being able to soar above the clouds to absorb sunlight on cloudy days. Lotus is also a skilled swimmer.

She being part of the Divine Tribe has an affinity towards water/ice magic and has natural ice breath. But she is capable of channeling the forces of fire, ice and lightning, which allows her to wield tremendous power... When and if she learns to do so, that is. Her roar can immobilize a target for a few seconds.
Despite Lotus' poor health, she does have an extraordinary lifespan that can last over several millennia. Lotus can also put herself into suspended animation, going into a deep sleep in order to recover her strength.
Lotus appears to be immune to environmental differences of different habitats and extreme temperatures; she can live in arctic tundras to infernal volcanoes. It is suspected that passive magic is responsible for regulating her internal temperature, and thus protecting her. But still, these are far from ideal environments for her.

Weakness': Lotus has iron deficiency anemia, which causes her to feel weak and fatigued easily, as well as getting shortness of breath if she pushes herself too hard. Despite this, Lotus continues to work as hard as a healthy individual would. She is also prone to getting headaches and moments of dizziness, and if she pushes herself beyond her limit, she may even pass out.

It doesn't effect has as much in dragon form... But it is still noticeable especially if she is breathing frost, she prefers to do short bursts rather than long steams of frigid air. She also tends to struggle in maintaining flight for prolonged periods of time due to the strain, preferring to glide. Weapons designed to hunt dragons can also do a number on her, or people who have skills similar to Wyrmsbane.

Items:
  • A Battal Oak Sword.*Look at notes below the history.
  • A backpack.
  • A seed pouch.
  • Columbe Oak Acorn. Given to her by a stranger with a strange yet powerful aura in the H&H, not yet planted.
  • Glass vases for flowers.
  • Spare clothes.
  • Saddle, reins and spare horseshoes for Chestnut.
  • Brushes, combs, a hammer and scissors.
  • Snacks for both herself, and Chestnut.
  • Bottles of water.
Personality:
<blockquote class='quote_blockquote'><dl><dt>Lotus</dt><dd>&nbsp;</dd></dl><div>"Hello. Welcome to Pretty Petals Flower Store, my name is Lotus Dewberry and how may I help you?"
Lotus Dewberry is a botanist that runs a flower store that sells crop seeds, saplings, grass seeds, flowers and compost. Upon the first purchase by someone, she also gives them a watering can and some plant pots for free. Lotus is polite, warm and kind hearted, yet is also determined and hardworking despite her fragile health and is always caring for others around her and her and as a result, her caring attitude often draws people towards her. Lotus has an incredible aptitude in learning due to her eagerness to improve herself and find her true potential. Family and friends are most important to her, though she does't really have much self-confidence, and her insecurity often requires her to seek assistance in order to motivate herself throughout the day and sometimes Lotus can be a little clingy, though most people find it cute.
Lotus loves reading books as she uses them to escape reality and her flaws and she also enjoys doing flower fortunes and often plucks hundreds of flower petals at a time, Lotus does this to give herself a boost in confidence; bad fortune readings motivate her to overturn them while good fortunes encourages her to ensure that they come true.

Lotus is appreciative of people who love plants and flowers as much as her and loves to receive gifts, and her smile is as bright and cheerful as the flowers are dazzling.
She wears topaz because not only is it her birthstone, but also since topaz is said to have accumulated an impressive body of healing properties.
Topaz is reputed to increase understanding, strengthen breathing, prevent colds, enhance creativity, bring relaxation, control angry passions, restore energy, aid in tissue regeneration and are thought to protect against the venom of evil words and thoughts.

Lotus holds a hidden strength that many people lack, as she has a strong affinity for animals and can read their feelings very well. She is faithful and considerate with handling of all types of creatures, using her special talent of communicating with animals to provide them with food, medical attention and other forms of care when they require it. She cares deeply for her winged horse she calls Chestnut and often spends hours brushing his fur and preening his wings to keep him clean, and going on long walks or flights to keep him well exercised. She also takes him to pastures of fresh grass for him to graze on.

Lotus is also very skilled in raising plants, putting a lot of effort and work into growing the plants she sells in her store. Lotus also sometimes drops by the Horn and Halo, the most popular place in the Encampment, to chat with travelers or newly arrived people to share information and latest news in Pax, and hopefully buy some seeds from other worlds to try and grow for her store. She has a few connections to some multiversal travelers that aid in helping her get new plants for her store in return for money, or they just do it because they have spare time and nothing else to really do.

History:
Lotus discovered that she had dragon blood after an especially stressful day at work, which involved a creepy Harpy, A Nature Elemental, A Dragon Man, an agitated Aggrex plant shopping, and also a Dragon Knight transforming to block the explosions of some oil fruit, oh and a terrified and then unconscious Ala in Poptop form. The mixture of adrenaline and the residual draconic energy broke through the seal on her soul and awakened her dragon blood... Now the Florist has to figure out how to turn back or she may end up stuck in her dragon form.

A sweet and kind farm girl appeared in Pax shortly after "The Week of Lili" and took over an abandoned flower store in the Encampment after the original owner vanished, probably eaten by a dragon. After Dentanus' attack in the Encampment, Lotus was forced to close shop for repairs and to re-stock, but the store has been re-opened. The store is well-known for importing in and cultivating plants from other worlds for sale, often referred to as the weekly specials.

She originated from a world named Hakutai Ewig in a region named Kannagi, and was born in a town of flower lovers named Sonou town.
Her father is unknown, and her mother was a retired Pegasus Knight from another town named Futaba, a small farming community in the northwest of Kannagi that is extremely close to the volcano, so much that the ash from the volcano constantly falls near the town, before her mother moved into Sonou to live with her parents during a particularly bad winter whilst pregnant... Lotus' mother however died shortly after giving birth due to an illness that greatly resembled that of Lotus' iron deficiency anemia, and Lotus was adopted and raised by her grandparents.

She was named Lotus by her grandparents when thinking of how they wish for the child to be... So that she represents the delicate elegance, beauty, purity and grace of that of a lotus flower in bloom, and on her 8th birthday, her grandfather brought her a winged horse foal to raise, since when Lotus was young she was sickly to the point she was bedridden and thus she could never go out and play with the other kids, and doctors said that she would not live long... Her illness nearly cost Lotus her life on multiple occasions, however when she grew up her condition got better, at the age of 11, her condition was stable enough for her to be able to leave bed, though couldn't walk far before growing weak and had to ride Chestnut around for mobility. At the age of 14, she was the most stable and was able to walk by herself, though still enjoyed to ride on Chestnut.
She sometimes begins to feel weak again and wonders if she is really getting better. For example, on her 18th birthday she won a race with her winged horse, Chestnut, but the joy and excitement of winning was too much for her heart and she passed out soon afterwards.

Notes:
* "On Felarya, not everybody uses rare metals in order to create powerful magical weapons. Some crafters chose wood instead, with very satisfying results. The best type of wood around for this usage is considered to be the mighty Battal Oak. With fully mature specimens standing at hundreds of feet in height and sporting leaves sometimes as large as a naga's hand, a Battal Oak is a truly imposing sight. While all the wood from the tree is extremely strong, only its core is famed for its legendary toughness, powerful enough for a seemingly mundane Oak weapon to withstand parrying against weapons of low to mid magic sword equivalence. Things made out of Battal wood have incredible endurance, and many a hero has triumphed due to their foe lowering their guard at having a ‘toy’ brandished at them."

<hr />

Name: Chestnut
Note: Despite being called Chestnut, his coat colour is actually "Palomino."
<blockquote class='quote_blockquote'><dl><dt>Quote:</dt><dd>&nbsp;</dd></dl><div>"Palomino is a coat color in horses, consisting of a gold coat and white mane and tail."
Gender: Stallion (Male)

Race: Winged Horse.

Appearance: Image
Height: 6 ft 9
Coat + Mane: The mane and tail are full, with coarse hair, and the tail is attached high and carried gracefully and straight, he also has a double coat developed for extra insulation in cold temperatures often encountered when in flight. Due to his distinct color, he makes a good parade/show winged horse as he stands out in a show ring.
Build: Strongly built, and elegant yet powerful, with good conformation. In appearance, he has a fine head with a straight profile that is well set onto an elegant, muscular neck. The withers are prominent, and has strong shoulders, a full and deep chest, a straight, long back, large, powerful wings, and long and strong muscular legs with good joints and well-formed hooves. He has a smooth gait and sure-footedness, having a four-beat "running walk."

Abilities: Can run and fly being both fast and agile on ground and in the air. He has a large stamina and strong endurance which serves him well as he is a tireless and powerful puller, and is well suited to agricultural work or pulling along carts, carrying heavy loads, as well as with carrying one or two people on his back, often using his ability to fly to get over normally impassable terrain for long distances.

Weakness': He has a weakness to bows and other ranged weapons, though his high speed is his saving grace against this threat, allowing him to easily avoid the shots, though he is also vulnerable to strong wind magic.

Personality: Chestnut has a sense of presence and style, as well as having a spirited, enthusiastic and self-assured personality and is incredibly tough and self-sufficient, yet he is also docile, gentle, quiet, and willing in temperament, making him easy to handle for Lotus. He tends to not be easily spooked, and is friendly towards others due to being well socialized. Chestnut is very intelligent and when treated with respect he is quick to learn, is very responsive, and cooperative. His attention does not wander but is focused on his handler or rider and he is very loyal to Lotus, and rarely leaves her side.

History: He was given to Lotus on her 8th birthday as a foal from her grandfather, and Lotus decided to name him Chestnut... The Pegasus foal was rather shy and timid at first, but over time due to lots of patience and affection, she got Chestnut out of his shell. Upon Lotus' 18th birthday, she decided to enter a racing contest with Chestnut, who had grown up into a stallion. Even with all the training they did previously, it was still a very close match, with Chestnut only just winning by stretching out his neck over the line.
After Lotus passed out, Chestnut laid down by her side with his wing stretched over her and wouldn't let anyone but her grandparents go near.

Names: Young one, Little Spirit, Kodama, Little One, Glowing Thing, Weird Thing, Cute, Glowball, Furball, Glowy.

Gender: Has no gender, but is referred as a she.

Race: Basically living energy of a goddess given form. Glowy is also often called a spirit.

Alignment: Leans towards good naturally, but since it is young and impressionable, Glowy is likely to change depending on who it is around and it's environment.

Age: As old as Shiranui's shrine on Ana.

Appearance:
Image
Glowy is a small long-eared cat/lemur/rabbit-like creature that stands at 2 feet 4 inches tall when standing on it's hind legs and weighs around 4.9 lbs. It has a lemur-like build with a light-weight, slender frame, and a long tail used for balance and support and rabbit-like hind legs and feet with three toes. Its arms are rounded to make a sort of "cuff" before ending with large, three-fingered hands. It could be classified as a quadruped, but it can walk easily on its hind legs. In their normal, relaxed position, the claws are sheathed with the skin and fur. This keeps the claws sharp by preventing wear from constant contact with the ground.

It has a rabbit-like head, with a small mouth, long, independently mobile rabbit-like ears, and between the ears are two short, stubby antennae. It has large, tear-drop shaped eyes located near the front of it's face, and a triangular, bunny-like nose that twitches. It is covered in a long, smooth and soft, snow-white fur coat and is always surrounded by a white glow unless very weak, giving it a celestial appearance.
It is also genderless, neither male nor female, and it's voice is small, sounding like that of a soft-spoken child's but with a slight echo.
Image

Magical Affinities: Light, Nature, Life, Plasma (Such as fire and electricity.)

Abilities: Due to it's light-weight body and small structure, Glowy is very fleet-footed and agile, it's strong legs allowing it move quickly and jump high. The paw pads on Glowy's hands and feet also secrete a sticky substance allowing it to easily scale walls. It's claws are strong and are used for digging; along with it's teeth, they are also used for defence.
It has an incredible sense of balance, allowing it to walk or even sprint along a half-inch rope like it was a wide stone bridge, this is because of it's long tail it uses for balance and support when moving. This tail can also be used to provide warmth in cold environments by curling up with the tail around itself, like a cat.

It has an acute sense of hearing due to it's long, independently mobile, rabbit-like ears, a keen sense of smell with it's bunny-like nose and it's large, tear-drop shaped eyes are located very near the front of it's face giving it excellent depth perception and reflexes, and provides some measure of eyesight in very low light levels, it can even see some colours in the infrared spectrum when in low light levels. Though this is not that useful since "Glowy" produces it's own light.
Glowy also possess' a very powerful healing magic, using the ability to draw the ambient magic radiating from the ground around it and channel this magical energy into itself or others. Glowy can also make protective barriers to deflect attacks, both physical and magical. Glowy can also use it's abilities to create things... But cannot create complex stuff and so far can only create simple objects.

Glowy can attack using small energy spheres named spirit flames, or charge one of the orbs and use it as a bomb... The damage ranging from just knocking opponents away and temporarily blinding them, to severe damage to the area around itself and to those caught in the blast range. Glowy can also lock onto some projectiles and whilst jumping near it, fire an explosive blast at the projectile, sending itself flying the opposite direction of said projectile... Or even sending the projectile back to the opponent whilst creating distance at the same time.
It has the ability to communicate with the forest, hearing what nature is saying, the trees, plants and animals, it is able to know when nature is hurting, or feeling happy. The antennae gives Glowy some telepathic abilities, and also seem to be tied to it's ability to locate other Life Stones that are within range. It may also be able to sense Insanity Stones.

While it's body is flesh and blood, able to feel pain and also bleed, as a Life Stone "Glowy" does not actually require it to live. It should be noted that Glowy has a silvery-white, glowing "blood" consisting of a liquefied energy. It could even be possible for it to "evolve" if it collects enough energy, becoming bigger and stronger the more energy it absorbs.

Weakness': It's ears are highly sensitive to loud noises, and sudden loud noises can briefly deafen it.
Also being so fast and agile has its downsides, due to lacking physical durability and small, light-weight body, Glowy is relies on dodging abilities to avoid getting struck. A good punch could easily send the little spirit flying, and any decent sword could do what would be lethal-amounts of damage to the small spirit if it were a typical mortal... That is if one manages to get the hit in however, as Glowy mainly uses ranged attacks to keep out of harm's way, and as mentioned above, is VERY fleet-footed and agile.

It recovers energy used up by eating, though if starved or forced to use large amounts of energy and draining all it's supplies, it's light will fade, and where it stood would be an ordinary, lifeless stone... For this reason those who can use energy draining attacks can be devastating to Glowy. Other than this, Glowy is virtually invincible and cannot be easily killed by normal means, but will retreat if injured badly or low on energy.

Personality: Glowy is pure, gentle and playful, and whilst shy and timid at first, emotionally fragile, and quite cautious in new places, it is quick to strike up friendships and tight bonds with people of all backgrounds, races, and alignments, Glowy treasures life greatly and always does what it can to help others in need, caring about everyone and is there to put a smile on someone's face. Glowy often having a playful, lighthearted view on things and it can also be rather mischievous, but means no harm. Glowy has a rather heroic attitude and is very loyal to it's allies and is very brave, using it's abilities to aid and defend them when they are in danger.
Glowy is very enthusiastic and energetic, and has pride in even it's most simple abilities and loves to show off to others. Whilst it is not the most cuddly, liking to have it's personal space respected most of the time, the little spirit does have it's moments of super snuggliness. It also loves to learn new things and is very curious. Anyone who gains Glowy's friendship are likely to receive food, pretty rocks, and occasionally even flowers at regular intervals.

It appears to know nothing, or at least very little, of evil, and is unable to see the ugliness in others and is very honest and polite, not even being able to understand lies, and possessing a great deal of curiosity, Glowy is prone to imitate the actions and mannerisms of those it meets... This makes it rather gullible and easy to manipulate due to it's simple minded nature making it fall for even obvious tricks.
Glowy has a strong, instinct driven desire to return "home" and find it's "mother," but Glowy has no idea where home or who, what and where it's mother is. The sole reason it mistook Lykaios as it's mother at first was, well... He is a glowing white being, much like itself. Though the little spirit has grown quite fond of Lykaios.

History: Previously one of the larger Life Stones dislodged from Shiranui's shrine upon destruction and sent flying miles away. The stone sat on the ground undisturbed for months, quietly trying to reach out to the goddess and failing whilst also absorbing ambient energies from the world around it. Unable to contact Shiri, over time the stone gathered up energy from the ground around it and formed a body.
The body was possibly an attempt to try and get back to the shrine, it's home, but either something went wrong, the stone being weak after this, being overpowered by the vessel, and the body gained a mind and will of it's own... Or it could be that the stones actually became alive, and after absorbing enough energy, it having evolved.

Lost, alone and afraid, the small glowing being called out fearfully for it's "mother"... But it's cries were met with silence. Overcome by the instinct to return "home" and find it's "mother", the young Glowy got up, it's light shining in the dark, and the life stone acting as it's soul, set out to fulfill it's wish... To find "home" and be re-united with it's long-lost "mother."
During Glowy's search, it came across Lykaios... At first it thought Lykaios was it's mother and leaped up to reach the wolf, though this ended up startling Lykaios and he darted away at the speed of sound... Leaving a confused and emotionally crushed Glowy behind. Though a few days later, Lykaios re-located the little spirit out of curiosity, Glowy was uncertain of the strange being at first, but over time Glowy started to open up to Lykaios, who it calls "Mr. Wanderer" and enjoys hanging out with him and learning new things from the old *"Godling."
Note: *Do not call Lykaios a "Godling" or else he WILL probably maul you.

<blockquote class='quote_blockquote'><dl><dt>Glowy and Lykaios</dt><dd>&nbsp;</dd></dl><div>
Glowy: *Cuddles Lykaios' leg as he floats through the trees* What other kinds of things can you do? =o

Lykaios: Well, you saw me absorbing the energy. I can do that with any sort of energy, I used to have to 'clean up' after gods and mortals made terrible mistakes in the universes when I was first created.

Glowy: That sounds so cool... And also rather annoying, the cleaning up after mistakes part. ^^;

Lykaios: It was, very annoying *a growl escapes him* and then they wondered why I started to get too powerful. I absorbed suns gone Nova because of their stupidity&#33;

Glowy: ... Geeze. o.o Doesn't sound like the gods were very good at thinking things through... That or they were dumber than rocks. ^^

Lykaios: Probably the former... so I got sealed away when I became 'too big and powerful' for my own 'good'. Like they had any right to preach to me after that... I have been stuck in a pocket dimension forced to watch everything around me without being to do anything or even sleep as punishment.

Glowy: ... That is... Horrible... o_o *Cuddles more* I won't let anyone seal you again&#33; If they try, I'll... I'll blast them&#33; >.<

Lykaios: *turns around to look at Glowy as they moved* ... thank you, little one, I appreciate the sentiment

Glowy: *Continues to cuddle Lykaios* You are my friend, and friends watch each-other's backs&#33; ^^

Lykaios: I have not had a friend for a long long long time... we should get there soon, not sure which one is closer...

Glowy: Well, we are friends now. ^^ *Tilts her head* I don't... Really know of this place like you do. ^^;
Notes on Life Stones:
The stones are shaped, both physically and personality-wise, based on memories that were stored within the shrine along with the energy... Glowy's case being mostly good and positive memories... But there are also ones made of bad and negative feelings and emotions. I highly doubt those stones would want to return to the shrine when they awaken, nor would they take kindly to others trying to use them.
What makes them even more dangerous... Is that they also learn and adapt, and unlike Insanity stones, as long as they figure out a way to regain energy and continue using it, they could remain as physical beings indefinitely. Though at the same time they are INCREDIBLY weak to draining attacks, which are devastating to them. Once their "spark" is absorbed... Their bodies fade and dim, and return to being ordinary rocks.

It is possible for the more over-confident "Glowies" to accidentally revert themselves in combat, due to not paying attention or being too proud to flee when the energy starts getting low, and thus end up using up all their energy in combat... That, or more fearful ones that do not wish to be absorbed or caught would release all their energy at once in an explosive blast.

Name: Josie Lavina Swann

Gender: Female

Race: "Earthian" Human

Spirit Animal: Kangaroo.
"Your Animal Spirit is the Kangaroo. According to your Animal Spirit, you are sensitive to social customs. You are pretty frank, moral and have a good reputation. You seem to make yourself a splendid teacher and you have a deep affection for your family"

Age: 19

Birthday: 29th June 1996
Year of the rat (fire) in the Chinese zodiac.
Cancer (crab) in the Western zodiac.

June birthdays claim three birthstones; Pearl, Moonstone and Alexandrite.
Pearls have been wildly popular in jewelry for centuries because of their natural beauty. Peals are also unique as they are the only gems from living sea creatures and that they require no faceting or polishing to reveal their natural beauty. Pearls are described with the power to calm the mind and prevent hysteria, promoting mental stability.

Alexandrite gemstones are extremely rare and desirable since they change colour based on the lighting. Outside in daylight, it is a cool bluish mossy green. Inside in lamplight, it is a red gem with a warm raspberry tone. It is said to strengthen intuition, aid in creativity and inspire the imagination.

Moonstones show a floating play of light and sometimes show either a multirayed star or a cat's eye. Considered a sacred stone in India, moonstones often are displayed on a background of yellow and are believed to encapsulate within the stone a spirit whose purpose is to bring good fortune.

Appearance:
Image
Height: 5 ft 3
Hair: Long, dark-brown and usually tied back.
Eye Colour: Dark brown
Build: Slim and petite, her body and face are youthful and look around the age of 10-12 instead of 19. This along with her adorable voice and soft British accent tends to make people think she is much younger than she actually is.
Clothing: Josie arrived wearing a pink pajama T-shirt, pink pajama bottoms, a fluffy purple nightgown decorated with white and pink flower patterns... And a pair of fluffy black socks with pink and white poka-dots. This is because she arrived on Ana when she was fast asleep in bed.

For clothing preferences, she is fond of blue jeans and pink, blue, black, green or red t-shirts and tops... Josie is pretty conservative and thus is prone to wearing shirts even when the weather is hot in order to feel more secure and safe, at the cost of comfort.

Abilities: Josie has a rather keen sense of hearing, being able to hear some high and low pitched sounds usually inaudible for others her age, though the high pitched sounds can hurt her ears. She can hear such things as dog whistles, which often bothers her. Josie also has a keener sense of smell, though bad smells such as manure hardly bother her. Josie has very keen eyes and is able to spot grasshoppers hiding among the grass.

On her very first day on Pax, an insanity stone popped up in-front of her... Not seeing it as a threat as it was "Just a stone" she lifted it up to examine it, despite the warnings of the Water Elemental, Yuru. "But it is just a stone." Josie said mere seconds before the stone dug it's way into her palm and infused her with it's energy. This gives her various abilities and the ability to cast minor miracles... Though she needs to find out how to do these things first.

Personality: Josie is rather introverted and shy, usually keeping to herself or around a select few of friends, she is complex, fragile and can be rather unpredictable and temperamental at times. She has a fairly low self-esteem and her insecurity requires her to seek help in order to motivate herself through the day, needing almost constant support and encouragement.
Josie is easily offended and discouraged and tends to sulk and wallow in self pity for a long time when she get hurts, often focusing on the negatives instead of the positives unless someone reminds her of happy things.
Despite the fact Josie has a learning disorder, a form of mild Autism, she does her best to not let it get in the way of her life either, though it is partially the reason she is socially awkward and the reason she tends to be rather forgetful too.

Whilst shy and quiet, if someone manages to coax Josie into a conversation on certain subjects, it becomes hard to stop Josie from talking. She is a very intelligent individual who loves to share her knowledge and is somewhat proud of how much she knows, and people who know her often dub her the "Walking Encyclopedia" due to this. Josie is a bit of a bookworm also, being a very good reader and loves to read various books, new and old, often about mythology, fantasy and sci-fi. It is rumored that within half an hour, she can read through 100 pages of a book with ease. Josie is also a pretty good cook.

Once Josie resolves her shyness and insecurity, her powerful character will shine though, there is practically nothing that Josie cannot do due to her incredible perseverance and will to stand up for what she believes in.
With her strong intuition, sensitivity, powers of observation, quick-wit and intelligence, she will have great success in almost anything that she undertakes, and can get more accomplished in 24 hours than most other humans do in as many days.

Josie is extremely loyal to those who appreciate and support her, one of the greatest things about Josie is her ability to make others feel good about themselves and loved. This is because instead of doing this for herself, she projects this encouragement and support onto others.
Josieis a sweet and innocent girl, always caring for others around her and is very sensitive and possessing a very strong maternal instinct that she had since a very young age. Her father was often blessed/cursed with lost baby and fledgling birds being brought into the house that Josie found, in order to rear them back to health or look after them until they can fend for themselves.
Whilst seen as childish due to a combination of her appearance and upbeat personality, when needed she can be very strong-willed, mature and dependable. Josie is also very caring towards her friends and family, and if they are ill, she explains ways such as home remedies on how to get better, and often makes them cups of special tea to help them.

Josie is very interested in herbalism, environmentalism, candle-making, meteorology, games and she has a VERY strong interest in magic and magical creatures such as dragons and unicorns for example. She hopes to become a florist and biologist and to make nature documentaries and books based on the nature and habits magical creatures that live in Pax... Though she has a long way to go before she can do that.
Josie is very creative and loves to write and draw, often carrying a sketchbook around to sketch any interesting animals or plants that she comes across when travelling... For when she is able to travel, that is. She has hayfever, but that does not stop her from enjoying the outdoors, enjoying the scents of freshly cut grass and flowers, even though they cause her nose to itch like mad and often leads to her having sneeze storms. Something she regularly jokes about.

Josie has a strong sense of justice, whilst usually quiet and calm, if she spots someone being treated unfairly, expect her to suddenly have a mood-shift from shy and quiet to confrontational and prone to talking down/lecturing the offender. This often comes as a big shock to those she suddenly verbally beats, and sometimes even leaves them in tears... This however then makes her feel rather guilty with how harsh she was. Oh, and whatever you do... Do NOT harm a child or animal near Josie, as that triggers a "Mama Bear" response, this sweet and caring motherly figure can be dangerous when berserk.

Despite having undergone various hardships, having lost many things that she held dear multiple times, she seems to never to lose her sunny and cheerful disposition, having learnt some serious repression skills in order to continue functioning the way she does and to live a conventional life.

Mage of Mist's Characters

by Mage of Mist
Name: Flowersinger.

Gender: Female - Worker Caste.
Whilst functionally infertile naturally, it is possible for her rudimentary, inactive ovaries to activate and for her to develop into a queen.

Race: Vespoid.
"Vespoids are giant, bipedal, omnivore bees. They claim it is their mission or calling to pollinate all plant life in the universe. Planets they inhabit are lush, flower filled, wonderlands. It is said that their homeworld, their, Hive World, is mostly amber in coloration."

Anatomy and Appearance:
Image
Flowersinger resembles a humanoid bee/hornet standing at 5 ft 7 with a segmented insectoid body, her chitinous exoskeleton is covered with a soft, downy yellow fuzz called the pile, a type of long, branched setae which collects pollen and acts as insulation to keep her warm in cold weather. From the shoulders down, her arms black, and from the knees down, the legs are also black.
As a worker, she has morphological specializations, including the pollen baskets, a bare shiny area surrounded by a fringe of hairs used to transport pollen, abdominal glands that produce beeswax, scent glands, and brood-feeding glands that allow her to make royal jelly.
Flowersinger has two pairs of transparent, rounded, veined wings, and a stinger on her black-striped abdomen, unlike in Terran Honeybees, a vespoid's stinger lacks barbs, so she can sting repeatedly without injuring herself. Her body gives off the faint, sweet scent of honey and nectar.

Her head is round with large, glossy black compound eyes, three small, simple eyes on the top of the head between the two large compound eyes, and a slightly pointed "mouth" housing her proboscis for sucking nectar, fruit, and other juices, her mandibles are also spoon-shaped which helps her mould wax and in collecting propolis.
Her black antennae are long and curl forwards, these antennae serve as her nose, ears and as a way to locate food.

Flowersinger's blood is yellow and she has an open system lacking arteries and veins as she breathes through tiny openings in her skin called spiracles, which have opening and closing mechanisms, connected to tubes called the trachea.
The hemolymph thus flows freely throughout her body, lubricating tissues and transporting nutrients to the organs and wastes from metabolism to the excretion organs. The blood also contains cells for destroying bacteria, dealing with foreign bodies and other toxic substances and also wound healing. The only blood vessels to be found are at the base of each antenna, which force the blood to circulate through them, highlighting the importance of the antennae to a vespoid.
Flowersinger has two stomachs, one main stomach for digesting food, and a secondary nectar-storage stomach, known as the crop or honey-stomach, that is filled with enzymes that break down complex sugars into more simple ones such as sucrose, laevulose and dextrose.

Flowersinger DOES have a heart that pumps the hemolymph throughout her circulatory system, but it is quite different from a vertebrate heart. It is called an aorta and is an elongated organ lying just under the roof of the abdomen, having muscular walls and five pairs of openings with one-way valves which allow blood to enter the heart when it dilates. When the heart contracts, the valves close and the blood is forced forwards into the aorta which extends through the thorax and into the head where it ends just behind the brain, the heart pushes the blood forward into the brain until pressure increases forcing it back through the body cavity and to all the organs and tissues.
On its way from the head, the blood passes back through the thorax, nourishing the flight muscles, then into the abdominal cavity where more nourishment is picked up from the digestive system before it is drawn back into the heart again.

Abilities: Flowersinger can use her venomous stinger to inject an especially potent venom that contains, like many bee and wasp venoms, a mastoparan that damages the tissues, several substances that destroy cells such as eptides and enzymes that break through and destroy the layer of fats lining each cell, and a neurotoxin called mandaratoxin. One could describe the sensation as feeling like a hot nail being driven into the body.
Deaths from this sting are related to anaphylactic shock or cardiac arrest, though people can also die as a result of multiple organ failure after multiple, full-powered stings. However, she rarely uses the full amount of venom from her stinger, usually only injecting enough to immobilize foes through paralysis, albet it still causes an agonizing burning sensation.

Her tough exoskeleton helps protect her from some attacks, light weapons are prone to bounce off her chitin armour unless striking a joint hard enough, however heavy weapons such as maces and claymores for example can do tons of damage to her. Flowersinger can use her wings for flight, as despite her height she is remarkably light, allowing her wings to carry her light frame great distances before tiring.

Also as a bee, she feeds on flower nectar, a sugary fluid that includes the aromatic oils that give flowers their scent, fruit juices, and pollen and can make honey, though for protein she either eats pollen, or hunts for meat.
She can secrete beeswax from a series of glands on her abdomen, mainly using the wax to form the walls and caps on combs in the hive. Flowersinger is also able to produce "Bee Glue" created from tree buds, sap flows or other botanical sources, she uses this glue is called propolis and is used to seal cracks in hives, setting traps and in crafting.

Whilst she lacks ears and a nose, her antennae are sensitive to the vibrations made by sound, and the antennae can also detect both the presence and the pattern of electric fields on flowers, which occur due to atmospheric electricity that takes a while to leak away into the ground. She uses this information to find out if a flower has been recently visited by another, along with any scent markers left by other vespoids. Her sense of smell of these antennae is so great, she can detect chemicals in the air in concentrations as low as a few parts per trillion.

Personality: Flowersinger is an "Innocent Alien", having just recently arrived on Ana after having been abducted from the Hiveworld by the Celestial Winds. She as an insect, lacks humanoid facial expressions, the common knowledge on humanoid social dynamics and is unfamiliar to "alien" cultures, thus she has a very warped and limited understanding of the ways of life of other races, knowing a few things such as names and came up with the one "Flowersinger" so that she would feel more akin to a thing called an "Individual," instead of just a mere "Worker."

As a Vespoid, Flowersinger uses pheromones, sounds, and touch to communicate.
Flowersinger uses pheromones for nearly all activities and in communication subconsciously, including alarm, danger, defense, hunger, sickness, orientation, every emotion possible, kin, caste and colony recognition, food production and integrating colony activities. Flowersinger also communicates with gestures and dances with others of her kin. Through these dances, she communicates information regarding the distance, the situation, and the direction of a food source. Group grooming is also something that she is fond of, which strengthens bonds within the hive and at the same time, increases the hygiene.
Flowersinger does know common however, but mostly excels in reading body language and in sign-language.

Flowersinger is rather childlike, being very curious and loves to learn, but since she tends to struggle with understanding and comprehending "alien subjects" which to you or me, would probably be normal or even considered "common-sense," she may seem a bit dumb, she is in-fact a very intelligent individual who just doesn't understand other races and non-Eusocial culture very well.
However Flowersinger is at a loss on what to do with her free time... As for the entirety of her life, unless she was sleeping, she was working. Flowersinger also misses her hive, but at the same time, enjoys having such freedom. She is an oddball, considering herself more of an individual than just a part of a super-organism, but since she was still very efficient in her work and wasn't disrupting the others, she wasn't deemed "defective" by the hive.

History: Flowersinger came from a planet known as the Hiveworld: The Hiveworld is a lush, verdant, flower-filled planet that sits just slightly closer to its sun than Earth, resulting in an overall tropical and sub-tropical climate. Much of Hiveworld is grassland or open scrub forests, with dense jungles towards the cooler polar regions, vast mangrove swamps along the coastlines and a dense strip of arid savannas and bushland across the equators. Only at the very poles themselves do tundras and taigas form.
Hiveworld is said to mostly be amber in coloration due to the proximity to the sun and also due to the many hives that are located there.

Social order within the hive is almost absolute, maintained thanks to the caste system, and as a worker Flowersinger had many duties in her old hive such as cleaning and polishing the cells, feeding the brood, caring for the queen, removing debris, tending to the crops, handling incoming nectar, building beeswax combs, guarding the entrance and to air-condition and ventilate the hive, and occasionally leaving the hive into the field, foraging for nectar, pollen, water and propolis depending on the needs of the hive.

Her curiosity of the stars started to grow, along with her desire to explore. Wanderlust started to grow bigger and bigger in her heart, and this triggered her to stay out longer when foraging in order to explore, and sometimes even snuck out at night in order to stargaze in awe. Over time, her individuality grew, in her private chambers, nothing more than a box with a bed inside, she started bringing back souvenirs. Shiny stones, pebbles and a few small plants such as bonsai, which she left outside the hive when she was out foraging and brought them in when she returned.

The others noticed this bizarre behaviour and grew concerned, though since they couldn't sense any sign of illness, and she was still efficient in her work, they saw no reason to dispose of her.
One day when Flowersinger was out foraging for nectar and pollen, she ended up being spirited away by the Celestial Winds, leading to her being trapped on the planet named Ana in the Pax system.

<big>Notes on Vespoid Produce:</big>

Bee Silk:
  • Bee silk are ά-helical proteins arranged in a four-strand coiled-coil structure, a fundamentally different design to the β-sheet crystallites that dominate the silkworm cocoon and spider dragline silks. This structure produces a light weight, yet also very tough silk.
Wet fibres are only half as stiff as dried ones, but are equal in strength. Silk sheets are independent of temperature when deformed in tension. The molecular structure of ά-helical proteins maximizes their robustness with minimal use of building materials.

This silk cannot be produced by adult individuals such as Flowersinger, but instead by the lavae. They are used to reinforce the wax cells in which they pupate in, spinning cocoons for protection, to fasten things such as plant leaves together and in some more advanced hives that are connected to the outside world('s), the silk can be traded along with other produce such as honey and "Bee flowers" that have anti-mite properties for income and also mainly for protection.
Honey:
  • There are more than 300 types of nectar sources collected by Vespoids, leading to more than 300 different varieties of honey. Each variety has its own texture, taste, colour and flavour depending upon the region, floral source and even the treatment it has been given and it can be classified on the basis of color such as amber, light, dark, yellow, gold and so on and if classified on the basis of floral source, it may bear the names like mono-floral, polyfloral, etc. Yet, another classification could be on the basis of form such as liquid, solid, set and crystallized.

There is also the "Forest Honey", "Tree Honey" or also known as "Honeydew Honey" that is not harvested from flower nectar, but instead from the sugary excretions of the insects which suck the sap of plants, similar to that to the Earth/Terran Aphids. In which it is harvested is similar to the way Earth/Terran ants harvest it, although the "Aphids" of the Hiveworld are much larger and more akin to cattle than tiny bugs.
Pollen
  • Pollen treated with the saliva of the Vespoids are known to last way longer than normal pollen, as pollen usually goes bad an hour or less after removal of the flower... But pollen treated with the saliva lasts much longer, so that it can be transported. Many believe ingesting this treated pollen (often moulded in the form of "bee bread") aids them in overcoming/killing off hayfevor and that the treated pollen has medicinal benefits.
Queen's Jelly/Royal Jelly
  • Royal jelly is a milky white or light yellowish, thick and smooth secretion that has a distinctive aroma and slightly spicy acidic-sweet taste. It is used in the nutrition of very young larvae, with the sustenance being replaced with pollen and "bee bread" when old enough, unless she is to be a queen, in which this type of feeding triggers the development of queen morphology, including the fully developed ovaries needed to lay eggs due to the component of royal jelly that causes a bee to develop into a queen, a single protein called royalactin. Royal Jelly is also the food for the adult queens of the hives.

It is used as a general health tonic, for fighting the effects of aging, and for boosting the immune system, enhance longevity, and is said to increase fertility and height... But that is mainly if you are another insectoid, as for "Fleshy" beings they get the energizing, anti-aging effects, it acting as a health tonic and the immune boost, but there are arguments over if it really does affect fertility or not with mixed results.
Venom:
  • As mentioned above on this page, Vespoid venom is pretty lethal and can be quite popular among scientists, hunters... Assassins... And the Black Market. Although most hives know not to dabble in such risky business of the Black Market as they may be punished for how the venom was used... Though it is likely that there are hives, or individuals that sell their venom onto the black market or get tricked into thinking they are doing a good deed by donating venom.

Height: 6 ft
Length: 12 ft

His face is human in shape and structure, with pale skin mostly covered in a layer of silky, midnight black fur and he’d definitely qualify as ‘handsome’ as his features are attractive; masculine, but not overly developed, giving him smooth, clean lines. A set of retractable, needle-like fangs sit in place of his canines ready to dispense their venom and his mouth contains a long and slender snake-like tongue that occasionally flits between his lips, tasting the air.

His eyes bear a vertical slit instead of rounded pupils, surrounded by a striking blue iris, like a cat, a snake, or more specifically, a naleen. His pupils dilate when he is in a good mood or in dark areas, and narrow to slits when in light areas, startled or aggressive, this gives his eyes a predatory look. His messy jet black 'mane' hangs loose down his shoulders, held by a headband of woven leaves, the hair on his head being parted by a pair of cute, fuzzy feline ears sprouting from atop his head and capable of swiveling, twitching and moving just like those of a terran cat.

He has a humanoid upper body with the usual torso, arms, hands, and fingers, and his belly and flat chest are fairly well-toned, with a slender waistline and decently visible muscles.
His arms are particularly human-like, each ending in a single five-fingered hand, the hands are largely human in shape and dexterity aside from the razor sharp feline claws where the fingernails would be. He has rather curvy hips, and his muscular, toned behind displays the detailed curves of its lean musculature.
Midnight's entire body is covered in a layer of smooth, fine black fur, except for the lips, nipples and tail. This fur isn’t especially dense normally, as his kind evolved in a tropical environment, but the fur does respond to cold conditions by growing denser and thicker in an effort to help preserve warmth.
Below his thighs, his flesh is fused together into a very long, prehensile dark forest-green snake tail. This tail is used to move silently through foliage or in constricting his victims, crushing the air out of them into unconsciousness.

Abilities:
Naleen are a strange hybrid race: feline predator from waist to neck with human-like faces and reptilian, slitted eyes. From the waist down, they’re snake-like monopeds, slithering across the floor of the jungle. A hybrid of feline grace and serpentine speed and power, the Naleen are the deadly apex predators of Ara Ara, they possess razor-sharp claws and a venomous bite that can paralyze a victim, though the bite seems to be reserved for wounded targets on the brink of collapse, rather than a primary offense.

Their attacks are lightning quick and often debilitating, as the Naleen dart into close combat to bite and claw their victims, wearing them down before a potent paralytic poison can be applied by bite to the victim. Serpentine and prehensile, Naleen tails are powerfully muscled, the tail is used to move silently through foliage or to constrict victims, crushing the air out of them into unconsciousness.

They are extremely sensitive, able to hear well outside the human range, which makes Naleen both keen hunters and acutely vulnerable to sonic attacks, and also have excellent night vision as well and can see at only one-sixth the level of light required for human vision. In levels of low light, a Naleen's pupil expand to cover most of the exposed surface of the eye, increasing the amount of light in their retina. While this improves their ability to see in darkness, they have lower visual acuity on average than humans when light is abundant, as their pupil close very narrowly in bright light, effectively reducing the amount of light in their retina. Along with the keen hearing and sight, they pick up the impulses through the underside of their tails, which is full of sensitive nerve endings.

... He is also quite the charmer. XP

Personality: He is a Neleen, sentient, sapient, language-using predators that originated from the deep, dense jungles of Mhen'ga in the Ara Ara system. He acts almost entirely on his emotions and instinct, often thinking up direct, physical solutions rather than magical or technological solutions, if someone angers him, he usually prefers to solve disputes with displays of intimidation rather than outright aggression at first, using the warning threat where he bares her teeth and flattens his ears, however he can and WILL attack if needed.
Due to relying lots of his instincts and emotions... He can be rather impulsive and doesn't always think his actions through, if around a person he finds attractive, he will attempt to court them and mate for example... Which has led to him having some rather strange 'mates' and some culture/instinct clashes also.

He is a roamer, his instincts telling him to travel and locate mates... Which led to the 'culture clash' which is more akin to an instinct clash with Zerexe, who's instincts tell her to try and limit his roaming in order to maximize her chances of getting pregnant. He does return to his previous mates, but doesn't understand why he would need to stay with only one mate all his life unless they were extremely ill and required such attention. It should also be noted that Midnight is bisexual... He does prefer females, but doesn't mind sleeping with males either.

Other than his lustful nature, he is actually very sweet and affectionate, and enjoys talking with others, though he can get a bit prideful at times... But who can blame him when one looks at who and what he has bedded? He is also very curious and when he encounters something new, he often wearily approaches it like a curious cat to investigate.

Name: Narill

Gender: Female

Race: Darknut (WW Canine variant)
"Of all the "monster races" of Hyrule, the Darknuts are quite possibly the most mysterious – and deadly. Hulking knights covered head-to-toe in shining armor, an intelligent species of canine humanoids, wielding weapons of fearsome size, who are exceptionally skilled with the blade and have a stratified, knight-based culture, and are even able to produce fine weaponry and armour."

Age: Unknown (A couple of centuries or two due to being frozen in time, but biologically is around twenty-something)

Appearance:
Narill resembles a humanoid Doberman Pinscher but has a more felid snout and nose, and as tradition as a Knight of her kind, her ears are cropped and posted, and her tail is docked for both practicality and intimidation. She stands around 12 ft tall, and has a rather bulky and muscular figure, though she is somewhat leaner than the males of her kind. She has sapphire blue eyes and a short, purple coat of fur with tan markings on her chest, legs, muzzle, above the eyes, shoulders, wrists, and underneath the tail, very much like the ones found in the sunken and sealed Hyrule Castle.

She usually wears heavy duty silver armour with dark red patterning, depicting a sword on the middle of the chest, with two centipede-like creatures curled inwards besides it. On the shoulders, it has wind-swirl markings leading towards the centipede-like creature markings. The only part of her body visible is a tiny portion of it's face and her solid blue eyes under the helmet with an M shaped opening. The helmet has two horns pointing outwards, coloured the dark red colour.
Under her heavy armour, she wears a light green tunic that goes up to her armpits, and down to her thighs, a brown belt with a Knight's Crest bearing a bird insignia similar to the basic Hylian one, and gold-plated breast plates made of a light metal, to protect her chest even when unarmoured.

Abilities: While usually protected by her heavy-duty armour, the armour also slows her down... Her sword fighting skills however make up for the lack of agility with powerful slashes and spin attacks. Her only weak point is the back, where a seam in her armor leaves her vulnerable to attack, so rather than attacking from the front, it might be best to slip around behind her and cut the armor off, however once the armour is off...
Despite her burly appearance and bulky body, she is astoundingly nimble, and is impressively strong, able to break stone pillars in two with her bare hands. Her martial arts skills are also formidable; being able to attack with either a flurry of quick karate chops or spinning jump kicks to send her foes flying&#33;
Narill also has a keen sense of hearing and smell.

Personality: Diligent, normally fearless, calm and composed, and usually very mature and polite yet also sometimes stubborn for those she doesn't consider worthy. She has an innate sense of duty and strong sense of honor, and usually wears a poker face and rarely laughs when on the job. Though with her being in a world far more advanced than her own, she is quite curious about many things and can be quite talkative and open.

Narill obeyed Ganondorf with no remorse and never saw wrong in her master's doings and thus she and her kind was stereotyped as being ferocious and aggressive 'monsters', and as a Knight originally selected for these traits: To be large and intimidating, fearless, and the fact one of the many things the warlock made sure to "install" in his monsters: their job is to obey, not rebel, after all, didn't help.
Even though she'd been forced to do some terrible things in the past, she is actually a kind and caring monster with a strong sense of honour. She is very protective of beings smaller than herself... Which happens to be a lot of things, but she has the biggest soft spot for Miniblins and birds.

As one of the "monster" races, beings of this race are traditionally abhorred by Hylians and Humans, she was often attacked on sight, and was generally not allowed anywhere near the settlements in Hyrule, and so she can be rather weary of non-monster races due to this treatment.
Though usually quiet and weary of humans, sometimes even seeming quite rude by refusing to speak to them... Once one manages to earn her loyalty, they have a very powerful ally that is always there for her friends if they need help. Also while others may see the huts of sticks and mud as primitive, she will look at houses of carpentered wood and laugh. A simple hut can be hidden; and sacrificed for the tactical advantage, and then rebuilt tomorrow. A mansion sacrifices such advantages for needless, purposeless comfort.

History: When the seal of the Master Sword broke, she was far in some of the different rooms of the fortress, so she never crossed paths with Link. Confused and scared as she realized her master was nowhere to be found in Hyrule and found herself with no way out, she spent some days trapped in an old building that had been blocked by debris on the other side. Eventually she did manage to break her way through, but instead of being met by the land and fresh air of Hyrule, she was greeted by waves of cold, salty water...

Though then she was taken by the Celestial Winds just before drowning and found herself in the middle of the Encampment, meeting the Werewolf Tala and the Zerexe, named Zerexe. They held a small conversation before the exausted Darknut passed out, and was carried to the hospital to rest, awakening sometime later and chatting some more and sharing a meal. The perplexed Narill now wanders the Encampment curiously, though finds herself feeling rather out of place some due to her background and not having a job anymore.

Name: Mi

Gender: Female

Race: Coria Alagos Raven
"The raven is a big black bird, a member of the crow family. It is massive - the biggest member of the crow family. It is all black with a large bill, and long wings. In flight, it shows a diamond-shaped tail."

Appearance:
Image
Abilities: Mi can fly, and perch like many birds can and has sharp talons and beak. Despite her bulk, she very agile in flight and her feathers produce a creaking sound that has been likened to the rustle of silk while in flight.

Though she can mimic and use speech and is very powerful in using magic. Mi can enhance the potency of spells cast in her presence, making learning magic easier for students, or certain spells more powerful... If she wants, that is. Mi can enter the dream plain if she wishes, and visit people in their dreams, though it is rare for her to do so. Some people even speculate she can see the future, but it is uncertain... One thing known for sure, she seems to vanish way before anything chaotic or/and catastrophic goes down.

Personality: Mischievous and playful, though like other Corias, she is a great liar and learns and adapts very easily and quickly. She considers tormenting others great entertainment and especially loves stealing their things and watching them try and find said items. She also tends to hoard shiny objects, much to the dismay of the unfortunate souls to which whom the objects belong, and hides them in her nests and hidden caches.
Mi will also be seen occasionally just sitting for hours perched on a branch or building and simply observing her surroundings with her intelligent, sharp purple eyes, generally unnerving people not used to her presence, and will at times even follow herds of animals as if studying their migration patterns.

Mi can also be snappy, and even somewhat cruel towards even people she likes at times, such as digging her claws into their arms or pecking them... Though she has her own kind of loyalty and won't tolerate anyone messing with her friends, and can be affectionate at times towards them when she feels like it.
She is not always picky; being a scavenger, she is skilled at both finding and eating nearly anything, feeding on carrion, insects, cereal grains, berries, fruit, small animals, and food waste... But if given the choice, she'd rather dine on the finest of foods and be treated as royalty.
