Pax RP

I really wanted to introduce my new character Rechomi though there are no current active RPs on Kata... And it is about time I finally bust out of my shell and start trying to improve on ways to start RPs.
This is a free to join RP and a free-form one with no plot, though people are allowed to bring in plots if they wish.

It was a cold and dark day on Kata... Then again all days where cold and dark on the sister planet of Ana. Cold harsh winds blew across the snowy dunes creating an eerie howling sound that echoed across the icy desert. The native wildlife that could not brave the cold sought shelter in the caverns or under the insulating snow...

*Thud*

A strange, raptor-like avianoid had fallen from the sky and crashed into the cold snow below, most likely having been caught by the Celestial Winds.
“Owww...” The strange creature grunted, pulling himself up from the snow and looked around... Though he didn’t just rely on his sense of sight from his large, dark brown eyes, he also focused on his sense of hearing, his four ears moving independently to one-another. He toned out the sound of the howling winds naturally as he mapped out his surroundings with his senses of hearing and limited sight. Oddly he didn't seem bothered at all by the cold, bitter winds that were hitting him.

“This... Is interesting... Where on Avalon am I?” The strange being grumbled as he proceeded to brush the snow off his armour and feathers.
He then turned his head towards a nearby entrance to the caverns, thinking it would be wise to seek shelter in them instead of sitting out in the open... Though turned an ear towards the caverns in question to see if he would hear anything... Refugees? Others of his kind? Or some kind of beast?

He hoped to hear signs of the first two, and not have to look for some other place in worry of getting attacked by the strange wildlife that probably lives on this world.

From inside the cave, a pair of red eyes peer out. As what would typically be a nocturnal creature, Blackfoot's gargoyle form had much better vision on this world than his human form. Unfortunately he couldn't help the scraping sound as his stone-skin brushed against the cavern wall.

However, this did prove useful. The creature that had just fell here - it apparently was using some form of echo-location - as all four ears turned towards his cavern at the sound.

He decided he'd wait this creature out - see if it was a threat before he initiated any attack. So he stood - still enough to be mistaken for a statue, and observed.

One of the creature's ears twitched at the sound of the stone-like skin brushing against the cavern wall, his attention shifting to the pair of red eyes peering out at him... Not wishing to get in a fight with something that he did not know, the strange raptor-like being slowly backed away, not wanting to trigger a chase, but also not wanting to turn his back on the strange being staring out at him or stand in place too long like a sitting duck.

He then stopped when a short distance away and took a breath... If lucky this being could be sentient and his translator could work “Hello?” he said wearily, eyes and ears set on the strange being staring out at him... Whatever it was in the caverns, it must have a tough hide... If it attacked he worried his weapon might not be able to pierce it.

A very large blue and white Dragon flew overhead of the two creatures, the Ice Dragon Permafrost from the Mirror Universe had found this version of Kata far more agreeable than his own arid desert one. The Ice Dragon was white as snow on most of his body, except for the underscales running from throat to tail tip and the scales on the underside of its wings, that were both glacier blue. It's eyes were ice blue as well, and though this Dragon was Furnaces mirror counterpart Permafrost was bulky and sleek where Furnace was sinewy and spiky.

After the Ullikummi incident, Permafrost had come to this more pleasant looking planet for a break, and the Ice Dragon had been wandering ever since.

The large beast scented a new and different scent in the cold winds, and descended from the sky to investigate.
