*DP appears on a stage*
Greetings. When we last left, our heroes had just joined forces for a quest set forth by none other than Au'Marui.
In lead of our party we find Fade, the cold but otherwise talented assassin. She was joined by Fern-biter, the plant based canine before she even left the Temple of Au'Marui. Once at the Horn and Halo, they met Grog the Barbarian, the dim-witted, clumsy, and emotionally unstable fighter who apparently loves dogs. Deciding to give him a chance, Fade offered him a place on her team. They were then joined by Nysa, the succubus who wishes to help in exchange for mere "food".
Their quest: Find four items needed to repair the ruby dagger. These items are some ore "touched by the winds of fate", some gems "From the crown of a despot", fire "from the heart of the Magma Caves", and some bubblegum....."for some reason."
If you wish to view what has gone before, please
dig a little deeper.
Otherwise, our adventure continues:

Grog
Grog steps out of the bar, then looks left right, then does a complete turn
"Um....Grog not sure which way he heard boom from......does puppy know?" He says as he turns to Fern-Biter.

The assassin turned to the Barbarian after having left the building, the mutant also slightly raised a bright blue brow at the huge man.
"You told us you heard the boom rock out east inside the Horn and Halo. East is this way" Fade turned in the direction she'd just indicated and began to walk that way, keeping an ear out to make sure that the group was following her.

The plant-wolf looked to Grog curiously and tilted his head and did a puzzled whine... And then perked his ears up to try and listen for any sounds of explosives. If Fern-Biter did hear any booms, he would have lead the way, though then his attention then turned to Fade and went to follow her.
'At least someone knows where to go.' Fern-Biter thought to himself as he followed.

Nysa followed the group, feeling rather bored. The succubus was already having second thoughts about the quest...but maybe it was only the beginning that was boring.Maybe they'll soon find exciting things!Like a boom rock monster!...or something else.Hopefully this is not going to be as easy as just walking to that direction."What sorts of threats are there?" she asked, absently minded, to the rest of the party.
"I mean...it is not like we'll be able to just walk there, and grab the boom rock like we're on a casual stroll right?"

The party walked forward, following the Assassin for the better part of the day, until around sunset they stop and setup a small camp. There they sit in little comfort of a campfire as the light fades....revealing an ominous glow coming from the east.
((A little powerplayish, but it moves the story along))

Nysa just stared at the ominous glow from the east."Why are we waiting here?I mean, what is the worst that can happen if we go right now to that 'boom-rock'?I mean...we can even see it from here!C'mon, just twenty more minutes of walking!" The demoness said, practically begging...as she had quite a bit of trouble against stuff like 'boredom'.

"Being tired is conducive to neither alertness, mental capacity or the physical ability to defend oneself should the need arise" Fade offered by way of explanation as to why they had stopped. "That being said however, we put up the camp before the sky was dark enough to show us the object of our destination... and we all should have had enough rest by now for that short of a walk" the assassin began chewing on a piece of dried meat afterwards, contemplating the distance, then looked towards the others to gauge what they were up to.

Fernbiter followed the part, laying by the campfire at a comfortable distance and looking to the eerie glow from the east. He then looked to Nysa and nodded in agreement with Fade, they have been walking for quite some time, and it would be wise to be awake and alert.

"Hmm...well it is true we need to be awake and alert. But setting up a camp right next to the 'boom rock'...if there is any danger there, it might attack us while we are sleeping here out in the open...and the campfire is not helping us at all, as whatever guardian that rock has, it is either very very dumb to the point we can outsmart it even in our current state, or already saw the campfire and is coming here for a fight, or is sleeping. If it is the former, we could already be over with the problem. If it is the latter two, it is suicidal to stay here waiting. So, I just suggest we go there and at least verify the situation, if it is anything too rough to deal with, we'll return here.I mean, it is good to know our enemy a little before resting, right?"

Grog opened one sleepy eye at the Succubus.
"If Wing lady so concerned about attack, why wing lady not take first watch.....let Grog sleep big then Grog take a watch....."
He then promptly fell asleep again, probably exhausted for having to do that much thinking....

Raising an eyebrow slightly at the conversation, the assassin climbed into her tent and lay down to go to sleep herself until it was her turn for the watch.

Nysa crossed her arms, watching them both, not happy at all with how the two were acting. She would stand still, right in front of her tent...although by some reason, she was barely moving at all after she sat down in the place she was taking watch.

*boom*
The first noise was quiet, barely audible to the succubi on guard duty
*boom*
The next was louder...
*BOOM*
The Third shook the camp, as a rock golem cleared the treeline. He was about 15 ft tall, and shook the ground with every step. Although his body was clearly made up of rock, he had a blue fiery energy inside him that shown throw the cracks of his skin. His head - on top of a normal face, was etched with runes from at least a dozen different studies of magic. He let loose a roar, and the energy that made him live fired out and destroyed the campfire.

Due to her enhanced hearing, the assassin was awake long before the first booms of the giant golem made it to the rest of them, and was invisibly rousing the others with a tap or a shake.
The assassin touched Fern-Biter with a slight shake, figuring the canine wouldn't need so much to be roused.
Grog though would need a far less subtle means....
"OI! WAKE UP! THERE'S A MONSTER COMING YOU CAN BASH!" she yelled next to him, invisibly before going up to listen to the creature coming and for signs of the others waking up before it got there.
