The Amalgamation: The Beginning

On an Ana very much like our own, The Horn and Halo...
"Uhm... Who are you and what are you doing in my room?" CP asks, standing over the masked woman.â€
In her wolf mask and her red dress a woman rubs the back of her head and looks at the mouse. "I think something went wrong with my portals...â€"
"Portals?"†The electric mouse asked, thinking. "I think you might've been caught by something we call the celestial wind..."â€
"Don't think so. I know what that feels like." Felicia Ravager replied, shaking her head. Coolpikaaa remained quiet for a moment, then jumped off of her chest.
"Alright... uh... If you can, move slowly towards the door. Try to slide yourself."†He added, slowly.
"... Slide myself-?â€" Felicia began to ask, but the electric mouse was quick with a reply.
"Yeah... don't... don't get up. Or look around. Just... slide this way."â€
"I'm kinda surprised it hasn't broke already." Interrupted another voice from behind the partially open door. Coolpikaaa immediately bristled at the sound.
"Shush!"
"Oh come on. She's gonna look anyway."
"I'd rather she didn't!"†Cp said, flatly.
Frowning under her mask, Felicia looks anyway, coming to the realization she is lying on a single plank of wood, with the first floor of the Horn and Halo a dizzying fall below her. Half of the room has been decimated to the point she can even look around to the nearby street.†"Eh, doesn't seem so badâ€..." The masked woman said rather disdainfully, opening shadow wings from her back and soaring to the door. "Pfft, you think a plank of wood and heights are anything to me?"
Coolpikaaa's eyes widened, but he ran over and opened the door into the hall so they could get away from the drop. "Right so... Who are you?!â€"
"I'm Felicia Ravager.... I know you though, CPâ€." She said, folding her shadow wings. "So what was that all about?â€
"Felicia? I... don't think I know a Felicia. How... did you get here?!" The electric mouse replies, completely ignoring her question. He seems about ready to ask another thing when a female Pikachu playfully pushes him aside. He glares daggers at the interrupter.
"What's with the mask? Are you some kind of Halloween themed villain?" She asks, slightly shorter and fluffier. Unfortunately despite these attributes, her overall attitude seems to give away that she would be less eager to make friends. Strangely, her eyes glow somewhat in the dim bar interior.
Felicia looks away, not planning on answering until they do the courtesy of giving her one. In her experience one-sided questioning was annoying. Eventually she offers, "... I wear the mask because I chose to wear the maskâ€."
‎"... Oh Good. She's Psycho." The fluffy Pikachu sums up.
"May! Uhhgg... Can you go away? Go away somewhere else so I can talk to her!" Begs Cp, looking tired. Very tired.
"Fiiiiine. You always get so defensive around new people. But I'll be around. We still gotta do the thing."
"Yes. I know about the thing."
"Just reminding you..."
CP, face buried in one paw waves May away with the other. She winks at Felicia and runs off down the stairs.†"... What are we talking about?"â€
"You tell me, I don't know. All I know is I ended up in that room after trying to travel, and it was destroyed, and then I came in here and there were you two." Felicia shrugs.
"Travel? Travel how?"
"Portals. I already told you.â€" Felicia facepalms.
"Portals..." Cp muses, rubbing his eyes. "Portals from where. To where?â€" The electric mouse goes to a desk that was dragged into the hall and starts sifting through papers.â€
"... Why do you want to know?â€" Felicia asks.
"It's important. You're the first person that's shown up new since..." He cuts off and waves at the disaster room. "Since all this mess. Which means you're important somehow. Which means I've gotta figure out exactly how.â€"
".... Riiiighhhhttt. And people call me crazy." Felicia looks down and makes a big sighing noise, but eventually relents. "I travel between infinite realities, infinite Paxes, created by different decisions made by all mortals on the worlds. Even the tiniest divergence can cause a big impact... meaning everyone is as important as the overall, in my experience.â€"
Cp breaks his pencil and stares at Felicia, stopping whatever he was doing.
"You... what?â€"
"You heard me.â€"
"Oh... Gods..." He exclaims, rifling through papers. "That... that makes so much sense. You just proved it! This is very important. YOU are very important.â€"
"Okay...â€" Felicia just stares at him from under her mask.
"Don't you see? A disaster has happened!" He shows her a hand drawn map that doesn't make any sense.â€
"... Sure looks like itâ€."
"No look...The universe is shrinking. Our universe. Shutting down. All the what ifs and how do's related to our existence are... crashing all into each other." For effect, he crumples the map. "See? All touching.†All possibilities at once.†And if you can travel between what's left... maybe...â€" He goes quiet, scribbling on a sheet.
"So the gaps that are supposed to exist between all the possible dimensions are being destroyed thus making the possibilities touch each other and causing a convergence-?" Felicia asks, breaking the silence.
"Yes! Yes, that!" He eventually exclaims after staring at her, lost in thought. The little electric mouse looks so tired.â€..
"So... Maybe... What?â€"
"You traveled from somewhere... that wasn't part of this?â€" CP asks, but begins speaking again before she can answer. "You must have tried to get to a world that was already destroyed and got pushed here instead...â€"
"Ok... that means... maybe... Maybe we can stop it?" He asks again rhetorically, staring at the wall and thinking.â€
"Hm, that would make sense. That would mean that the barrier that I tried to get through didn't exist anymore... the suspension between possibilities has goneâ€. You said they were all touching right? Are they all converging here or with each other? Do you know where the focal point is?â€"
"They aren't ALL converging..." CP corrects. "Most are being wiped out completely.â€.."
The electric mouse points out his desk, swiping off the papers from it. He indicates Felicia should pay attention, then knocks on it. "Let's say this is the most basic form of reality. Simply the firm ground of what qualifies as 'existence'."
He then places a paper on top of that desk.
"Our Multiverse."
He draws a circle on it.
"My particular Universe. Every choice you make, no matter how small makes a different one, like you said." â€He draws a small circle under the big one and connects them with a line.†"... And every choice after that...â€"
More circles, more lines.â€
"Yes, I know all this. This is what I travel throughâ€." Felicia points out.
"Yes but... Something bad happened. Really bad." Cp says, suddenly and violently ripping the sheet of paper into shreds. He sifts through the mess on the desk, and points to a couple circles that have survived the ripping. "This is us, now. A possible world, barely clinging on, only supported by the minimum laws of existence and no longer connected to anything else."
He then points to a different circle that survived.
"Lets say this one is a point in my future. Or some other weird possibility. Anything. It also survived, but now we're on the same level. Forced to interact with each other, no longer separated by the web.†All on one desk."
He points at Felicia. "You... You seem to have come here from a realm that's still connected to the web, where the rips haven't reached yet. Sadly, it won't be for long. The whole mess is falling apart and that means it's more than likely going to be destroyed too.â€"
"... So this is affecting future and past possibilities as well?â€" Felcia asks, staring at the model. "It's not just the possibilities themselves, it's also time itselfâ€?"
"I... maybe?â€" Cp sighs, not really having an answer. "Look. This is all EXTREMELY theoreticalâ€, But it's the best I have†to offer." He rubs his eyes. "You met May?†She's supposedly my daughterâ€. Or... a version of me's daughter. But she's here in my time. She just... walked on over here from her universe! Also, Red, which is, again, a version of me, tore half this building apart, so obviously something has gone wrong with the Multiverse. We shouldn't all be able to co-exist.â€"
"You shouldn't all be able to just walk from one dimension to another, it's not a.... what's the word.... simple... Technique to master... especially if you're still saneâ€." Felicia frowns. She stares at his desk covered in shredded bits of paper, wondering if he's gone crazy.â€
"Yes. That's bad! Proof that something has gone wrong!" Cp shouts.
"Clearly..." Felicia sighs. "These possibilities should be infinite as well... they shouldn't be disappearing, they should be expanding. Every decision creates a new reality... or at least that's what it 'should' be doing...â€"
"... Yeah.â€" Cp frowns, staring at the mess laid out on the desk. "There aren't many that have survived so far, either. From all of infinity... there's only... maybe 20?†That we know about that have survived the rip reaching them.â€"
"... I won't weep if mine's gone...â€" Felicia says sullenly.
"This isn't about you! This is about EVERYTHINGâ€!" Cp refutes loudly. "Everything that was, has and might exist! Something is killing us all offâ€!"
"... Yes I got that, there's no need to snapâ€." Felicia says flatly.
"... Sorry. This has been a difficult time.â€.."
"So... question is what would have the power and the inclination to do such a thing?â€" Felicia asks, breaking the awkward silence between the two. "... And how come the Gods haven't noticed? They travel the infinite too... unless they've been too busy with this world...â€"
"I don't know. Something primal and archaic." Cp sighs. "The Gods can travel between, sure, but even they are part of the universe when they arrive. I'm not sure they were actually counting the infinite around them. But this concerns them too. If our Multiverse is being destroyed with them in it... They simply won't exist either.â€"
"That's not what I meant..." Felicia facepalms, frustrated. "I guess traveling through possibilities gives me a different perspectiveâ€."
"Look.â€" Cp says firmly. "We could talk about this forever, I'm sureâ€."
"Possibly longer, yepâ€."
"But if you can still travel to the other universes, maybe we can all put our minds together and stop whatever is happening from claiming any more worldsâ€. Maybe even start it growing again rather than shrinkingâ€."
"Makes sense, but if it's not stopped then... I won't be able to travel..."â€
"At that point you'll probably be something worse than dead, honestly. Everyone will be."
"But.... I want to keep one safe... the only one I could still find not lost or changed, or worse than dead..."â€
"If you want to save ANYTHINGâ€..." Cp interrupts before she can go into details. "We have to stop this. All of us.â€"
"... Agreedâ€. There are possibilities that would be willing to help... at least once it's revealed it threatens their existence...â€"
"Alright. That's the plan. You try to connect to the main part of the Multiverse, where the rips haven't reached. Warn them. Maybe I can get some more minds to figure this out..." He sighs and looks to the destroyed corner of the Horn and Halo. "While you're gone... I'll reach out to the other universes that survived in this Amalgamation at the base of existence. Maybe we can choose to work together, rather than tear each other apart..."
"Uhm... Who are you and what are you doing in my room?" CP asks, standing over the masked woman.â€
