I figured sometimes you just wanna talk about games, but there's noone around. Or maybe, just maybe, you wanna write a big old post about the game that you are because it's so amazing, or so awful you just have to get everything about it off your chest.

So, here's the thread to do it in!

I'll start us off. I've been playing Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on the 3DS. i'm still early into it, but... boy had I forgotten how frustrating fetch quests like finding ten of a certain mushroom were due to it's RNG nature. I had to put the thing down for a bit-which is a shame, because I think Monster Hunter is great!

If I wanted to get into the Monster Hunter series, what game should I start with?

Well. I suppose it somewhat depends on what consoles you have. What do you play on Lulu?

Riders of Icarus is an awesome game I have been playing recently. It is a free to play MMO on Steam and looks absolutely beautiful and the world is MASSIVE! You can also tame all sorts of beasts, from the humble Woodland Joey to dragons, unicorns and phoenixes! You also have multiple classes to pick from to best suit your style, mine is a Ranger, a mix of range and melee.

I also got a free dragon from a daily reward chest on day 3, a very spooky undead dragon thing that can fly! I got a lot of screenshots here =P

As for MH... If you have a 3DS, I recommend 4U. ^^

*Honestly needs to play his copy of the game more.* xD

I still got the copy in its case after playing it for about an hour I think. Got distracted with the Pokemon games that I got along the same time, as well after.

I did start with Monster Hunter on the WiiU with MH3U but y'know, I don't think starting on 4U is a bad idea at all due to how slow it starts off. Though it is a necessary slow to help you learn the basics.

... And why we all hate egg fetch quests. Damn Jaggis! *Shakes fist*

Games....so I recently got Subnautica and Civ 6, but still playing through Slime Rancher. Fiance is going to try to get her (and by extension us) a Switch on release. We don't know how well that will actually work out

Subnautica is a beautiful game, and kinda relaxing when you aren't being terrorised by Leviathans but generally you're the one that decides when you want to tangle with the nasties so it definitely has that going for it.

Well, now that I have the new Graphics card, I might be able to play it near decent settings and see for myself :P

Yup, you will. It is beautiful, you'll like it. And you get to play ARK with the Tek Tier finally out too.

On the subject, Generations is probably the best to roll with, due to it being designed to be SUPER accessible with 10000 ways to do stuff. Styles really made a lot of weapons more fun for me. No G rank, but G-rank is really hard anyways, and it has about as much content as 4U but all in low and high rank. It's still got some hard stuff but it's certainly a good starting point. Plus, anything in it will transfer into MHXX when it comes out in the west, so you can just keep your progress. I love the game.
