This has got to stop

We come to RP for fun, yes? Or some of us to de-stress or try to forget what's going on IRL because this is one of few outlets we have. You know when it's not fun? It's not fun when we have to start worrying over whether our chars actions, or lack of, when we cannot RP due to IRL issues are assumed without our consultation, especially if that assumption is something entirely counter to our characters personality.
You know what? I can't be online all the time, every day. Few people can. And I do not want, nor should I *need* to, RP my individual characters everyday actions-EVERY DAY. That's not why I RP. I thought it would make sense to assume that when something major is going is when I would RP my char, or during a character development, you know, when I really *need* to direct them. But oh no, apparently not here!
I shouldn't *need* to RP an individuals day to day interactions every day for fear of one character taking the non-interaction of a char because I'm busy or playing someone else to mean something that never crossed my mind because it's entirely counter to their personality. Do you know how many characters I have? I have over 20, maybe even 30 by now. I *can't RP every single one of them's everyday interactions... EVERY DAY!* It is literally impossible!
So, it would make more sense to assume that they do their day to day thing behind the scenes when I'm not using them. Case in point, Nym. I don't use Nym that often, because Nym is not someone I always think to use. So I *thought* it would make sense that, when I'm not using her, that she'd likely be doing her behind the scenes thing. You know, going to see her friends, eating-not sleeping, reading, spending time in the HQ with the other Knights, or spending time out in the Encampment. Nym is too nice not to go see people she knows. Heck she probably even visits Tom.
But I came on yesterday to find out that simply because I haven't been using Nym, it's been assumed by another player that Nym has been ignoring another char on purpose? I didn't even know there was a problem. Gods forbid any of you guys actually talk to me about this.
Never mind that it's not in her personality AT ALL to do something like that
So since I haven't seen a bunch of other peoples characters, should I assume that they're all ignoring my chars too? Is that what we're doing now? Should I assume that since I rarely see Sethre, Mina and her star pupil don't see each other ever anymore, even though I know Sethre and Mina both hang around the Tower quite a bit? Should I assume that since CP only RPed going to see char-Swix on Dea once, that that's the one and only time that they're ever going to see each other and now they're ignoring each other? Is *that* what we're doing now?
I bloody well hope not. Because it's not fair on other players to put that sort of stress on them when I know that everyone has their own RL issues to deal with
But if it is. Well. I guess that I can't be here anymore because as I stated it is literally impossible for me to RP tens of chars day to day lives, and I shouldn't be RPing purely for fear of hurting another player characters feelings. That is *not cool*. This has *got* to stop
While I'm at it, other Paxian things that annoy me that I kept bottled up
OOC knowledge.
It came to my attention a little while ago that I can't trust the majority of you with OOC knowledge. Even those of you who protest that your chars only learn thngs ICly have used OOC knowledge I've given you. Whether intentional or not it shouldn't have happened in the first place. That's why I don't give it out anymore, whether privately or in jest. It saddens me that I can't trust you guys that far anymore.
Disappearing characters.
I don't know if you guys have noticed, but I'm reluctant to have any of my characters interact with any new characters of yours. This is mainly due to the trend of those characters then disappearing in some private rp, never to be seen or heard from in public again. I guess it's ok, it just annoys me when I have a char out just to make friends with a 'Paxian newbie' only to have them then disappear as though they never existed.
Secretly finished plotlines.
Again, I don't know if you guys have noticed but if I make a potentially world changing plotline, I try to get everyone involved. Because it's my opinion that having said plot suddenly resolved behind closed doors-especially if I already got others involved-almost immediately after the cause was found out by one character is not fair on the other people I involved, not to mention all the loose ends such an action could generate. Sure, have the little, minor, non-world changing plots resolved in private when they're done in private, but don't go making a massive one that involves lots of people, only to have it dealt with within hours by a single person.
Whining at the GMs/DMs
I know I'm kinda breaking my own list of annoyances here, but if something is quite clearly being run by one person, don't whine at them when they say something your character did either did or didn't work on the 'Boss' the GM elected to use just because it isn't what you wanted to or thought would happen. This has happened to me countless times and it is getting majorly tiring and out of hand. Just because something that you wanted to work, didn't, doesn't mean that there's no way to solve the problem. Deal with it and be creative, that's a part of RPing! Plus keep in mind that the one most likely to know what a Boss character that they are playing-for *your* enjoyment no less-limitations and strengths are is not you, it is the GM! We're people too, and if you think we made a mistake don't have a go at us about it, open a dialogue and tell us why. Or, my preferred method would be to be more descriptive when posting your actions. We aren't mind readers either, we're people, like you.
Killing is not always the best method to deal with a situation.
This last one should be self explanatory. Especially when it comes to PCs rather than NPCs.
I think I'm done now. Thoughts, comments? Resolutions? I'm hoping for the third. We need some coherence here and we need more teamwork and less hiding behind our feelings or guilt trips. Some of what I say may be seen as harsh, but I cannot keep going here with this all pent up. Rant at me back if you like, this all needs to be said here, in public, in the open, for all to see.
