Pax RP

You wake up in a wooded clearing - this is not where you remember being. You head feels fuzzy - but the last thing you remember you definitely were not in the woods.
You look around to see several others there, most laying down or just getting up. The only one standing up is some girl.

At least you think your she's a girl. She had red hair, looks to be about 17, though something about her feels much older. She is wearing a white shirt, some capri pants, and a simple white hood. The only thing that stands out, other than the sense she isn't as young as she looks, is the two Kusarigama strapped on either side fo her belt, and her glowing white eyes.

"Careful there," she finally says, "the celestial winds are a bit of a dick. I am Ariel, Goddess of Insanity, and Welcome to Pax!"

I look around again, taking in my surroundings, and brush myself of twigs and leaves, distaste in my eyes.

The slightly familiar woods brings back bad memories of first joining the cult. I stare at the strange girl while she talks, then at the Kusarigama on her belt.

I gulp, and straighten my short black hair and robes in an effort to look nice, and not like an unwanted scruff.

"Goddess of Insanity? A high title..." I whisper, Slight fear creeping in. "What is Pax, and why am I here?"

"It is no title. It is merely who I am.

Pax is this solar system. You are currently on Ana, the warmer planet. The system also has the planet Kata, which is an ice planet, who dances with Ana as a binary planet system. Between them is The Pass, this system's moon.

As for why you are here, very few people ever know why they are selected by the Winds to come here."

"Sounds wonderful." I sigh. My head aches and my vision jars slightly. "What are you doing here...? Surely the Goddess Of Insanity has more important things." I declare, with a slight boost of courage.

Ariel chuckled "Possibly, but here I am. We are actually not too far from my temple, and that's usually not a bad place for the newly arrived to go."

"I suppose we head there then." I reply, wondering how long this girl had been here for.

"Alright," Ariel Mused.

She then proceeded to both step forward and stay standing, morphing a splitting into two Ariels, each identical. The one the stepped forward kept walking and simply said over her shoulder, "This way," while the other Ariel stayed where she was, looking over the other newly arrived.

((I don't often use the goddess in RP, she is a bit OP, being a god and all. She's typically reserved for when I lead an RP or have some sort of world changing plot to put in motion. But almost every char has a God/Goddess of Insanity story of some sort XD ))

She gaped with her mouth open at the newfound ability of the goddess, but followed promptly, her ashen robes flapping slightly in the breeze. She didn't misjudge her power, only underestimated it.

((That's fair enough. I've switched to third person, btw. It got confusing XD))

"So, I must apologize. I've given my name, but I never asked yours." Ariel queried while walking along the path.

"Also, where was home for you previously?" she added, as almost an afterthought.

"It's no problem. My name is Aja. It means 'Where the goats live'. Home is a tricky subject..." She didn't want to mention her childhood of sacrifice and toil. "People call me the Cultist." She added, guiltily.

"Cultist, huh?" Ariel mused, "Maybe it's appropriate I am taking you to a temple then!"

"We don't have much in the way of religions or cults. I do have a band of knights that serve me, but after some recent...unpleasantness, some Knights have seen fit to leave my service. I granted them their leave, but it has dwindled our numbers greatly"

She nodded at the temple joke, appreciating the humour. She didn't respect the nickname, either. "That sounds like a problem. Is that why I'm here? To serve in your service?" She asked, wondering if she was right.

Ariel shurgged. "I cannot say. I have only ever convinced the Winds to bring me someone once, and that was through great work and effort. The Celestial Winds are not something to be controlled like that. But, that being said, if you wish to join my service you'd definitely be a welcomed addition, Aja"

Aja twisted her fingers uncertainly. "I'll think about it..." She carried on following her duplicate towards the temple.

"Fair enough" Ariel mused.

"Well here we are, the Temple of Insanity"



Before them stood a large building. The outside was decorated with marble columns, stone brick and green arches. A glass domed roof could be seen above that. Green flags featuring a black, four-pointed star, outlined in gold hung from the sides.

"It's not much, but it is what anchors me to this realm."
