With a few favors, a miracle here and there, the venue had been secured, the time set, and some flyers printed with no one being any the wiser. And now the flyers were pinned to every door in the Encampment. They were a simple affair, stating there was to be a town hall tonight at Sunset at the Horn and Halo. The flyers weren't what interested everyone, it's the fact that they were supposedly signed by Au'Marui.
-------------
Tom sat at the bar in the packed room, sipping on some whiskey (normal for him). The room was packed to hear why the Mad God would call a town meeting, why on such short notice. If it wasn't for the building being one of the few safe spaces in town, most would have thought it a trap. Some speculated it still could be, but had shown up anyways out of curiosity. They all waited for the God or Goddess of whatever she called herself now to show up.
((I"ll give it a few days for everyone to post their intro's into the RP, than the real fun begins.))

Abi wandered in at about that point as well, the oriental woman found that she could not help but be curious about why Au'Marui of all people would call a town meeting here. That and since she was human now, and part of The Encampment, whatever happened was something she should hear. Abi ordered a drink of the wine and then went to sit by Tom.
Russel was already there, sipping at a mug of mead. The man that now possessed red eyes and ashen hair held the mug with his normal left arm whilst the black bandaged right one lightly tapped at the table. He even greeted Abi quite pleasantly when she sat down.
Meanwhile, the patron deity of the Inn Nero sat on the chair he was usually seen in, with a glass of orange juice in hand. The 'lava lamp' effect of his body had been toned down so as not to be so bright and but yellow eyes still glowed as he peered at them all.

Mitsuko crackled into being beside Russel, snuggling into him like the affectionate birb she was. She was both curious and protective of her envoy.
Zerexe had walked into the back, sitting down with an annoyed expression. Stupid fliers...Stupid not talking about what it was about. Always got to have your dramatic flair, huh?

Drausus accompanied the developing crowd. Certainly one of the busier nights, bound to be raking in some profits for the owners of this establishment. "Hmm?" the Jentil glanced around at the familiar faces.
No doubt Abi wouldn't be able to keep herself from something like this, for whatever reason it may be evaded a solid guess. Both Mitsuku and Russel seem to be fairly calm despite the number of people. Fortunate that Nero's wards protected everyone equally so accidentally fire damage doesn't raise the roof in flames.
"Greetings Zerexe," he said casually to the golden woman. Drausus took a seat next to her to keep her company during the waiting process.

There were three people who entered inside of the horn and halo now, all of them relatively well known to those who lived inside of it. 'Goddess' Arisu, one of the two infernal goddesses of the encampment walked in, with a stern face as if she didn't want to be in here in the first place, not even giving a greeting to others as she walked in and sat down on her chair- if it wasn't available, she would simply make one out of shadows, on the most uncrowded part of the bar. She had a white, long flowing hair, as well as eyes of yellow-color, both sorta adding to her demonic features, as if the tail, wings and horns wasn't enough to say she was demon, standing merely at 5'5'' height.
"Tch...this girl is doing as she wants." Liara said as she entered, wearing robes with white and blue colors, along with a wooden staff she was using as a leverage for her to walk. The robes were specifically made for her, having holes to fit her blue wings as well as her blue tail, and lastly her horns too: A fitting look for a director of the academy located right on the encampment's borders. "Excuse me...things happened, and neither of us are in the best mood." She added...although her stern, slightly annoyed face soon turned into a full scowl as the third visitor arrived.
"HELLO MY PEOPLE! The local blacksmith is here!" Nirasema shouted, as she kicked the door open- thankfully with the wards, it didn't get a single scratch, as she entered inside of the bar with a bottle of sake on one hand, and a shield on her other one. "It was so lucky for me to finish this piece before the time of the meeting arrived. Otherwise I'm afraid I would have to miss it! So what's it about, for the infamous mad god to call us all for a merry meeting?" She shouted, by the scent of alcohol in her breath, she was drunk. The blacksmith towered over most of people, standing at full 7ft tall, and had a massive, amazonian-like build with toned muscles as if she was a greek statue, and even indoors, she was wearing a platemail along with metal leggings, but her hands remained uncovered by the gauntlets.

Secreted within a recess contained inside the establishment known as the Horn and Halo, there languished a woman whom went by the name of Laur. She had decided to observe such proceedings, as the particular place of safety grew full to brimming the once reluctant mutant popped a pill within her mouth preceding washing it down with mere mundane coffee. It would, she hoped, provide her a modicum of relief from sensing the powers of immortals that did not curb their powers from shining through her unique senses. Already the splitting headache was making its presence quite unbearable.

::as the last light of the sunset, the door opened yet again, this time more gently. In strode Ariel, who this time appeared to be around 40, with a few streaks of grey in her hair. She wore clothes that appeared to be a bit more formal. She continued to the front of the group. She looked the group over, noting a few of the people there.::
Ariel: Thank you all for coming on such short notice. I've heard the rumors, and let me dispell them, this is no trap. It is time we had a talk. This town has grown up - no thanks to the meddling of people like me. You guys need to organize, become a rightful town.
::She took a step forward, and sighed::
Ariel: I think the time has come for you to elect a Mayor and organize yourselves. I know I have no right to give any recommendations, but I will give one anyays. No one who is or was an Immortal should be considered. We are more of this town's problems than the solution. ::as Ariel said this, she looked pointedly at Abi, Nero, and Arisu in turn::
Ariel: With that, I will be facilitating by taking nominations now.

Abi stared back, was she trying to insinuate she was going to stay like this forever? She didn't think she liked that.
Russel however got up after very gently pushing Mitsuko off-whom he'd looked both pleased and embarrassed to see-before declaring "I nominate Sargeant Tom Johnson" quite loudly and then sitting down. Somehow he managed to look even more embarrassed afterwards.
Nero simply raised his glass to Ariel at the pointed look to him. The Alignment had made it abundantly clear that he wanted no part in this anyway and did not mind the pointed look at all. This was his tavern, though.

::Tom's drink was frozen halfway to his mouth. Him, Mayor? That didn't make any sort of sense::
Ariel: I recognize the nomination for Tom, do we have a second?
::He may have to put a stop to this madness, but Tom decided for now he'd wait. It wouldn't matter if no one seconded him. And who'd possibly think that was a good idea...::
((Just spoke about it with Swix, and to keep things fair and keep people from railroading their chars into the election, if one of your chars nominates someone, you cannot have a second char you own second them. Likewise, while you can nominate one of your own chars, you cannot second the nomination of one of your own chars. Negotiating behind the scenes is allowed though...this is politics

The Distortionist nearly laughed at Tom's expression, sensing the mid-freeze in posture. Drausus still felt sorry for the guy. Doubt the human expected to be elevated to any position of office, even after Ariel made the announcement to the crowd. But with any government: someone needs to do the job. Why not select the guy who didn't want it?
"I second Mr. Johnson's nomination," he stood up from his chair next to Zerexe.

"Tch, I'm the problem now?" Arisu said, as she returned the glare at Ariel. "I haven't killed a single person in the encampment, as far as I can remember. Unlike most gods, I have been well-behaved and avoided dealing with the affairs of mortals, with very few exceptions. I abstain, because there is no reason for an immortal to vote on a mortal town's mayor." The demoness stated, as she glared at Ariel. She was already in a bad mood, let alone now, that Ariel decided to consider her a troublesome existence for the encampment, as she barely entered in it.
"I vote for Drausus. He's my apprentice, and I trust his wisdom." Liara stated, as if to infuriate Arisu even further than the demoness already was, with a smile.
"I vote for whoever let me continue my business in peace. So, can I order a beer while I wait for all the votes being counted and manipulated?" Nirasema stated, as she sipped on her sake. She had calmed down ever so slightly after seeying how serious this meeting was, but at the same time...she was just no good in politics, to the point she decided to not partake in the votes.

The mutant whom had originally intended to abstain from such affairs observed such proceedings with a well seasoned eye. Whilst she possessed a background firmly centered within political intrigue she had no desire to resume such affairs on this world. Instead she proceeded to raise her hand and then let her particular feelings upon the matter be communicated in no uncertain terms towards the residents.
"I will second the nomination for Drausus"

Ariel nodded to Laur, saying "We have a second for Drausus. So far the two candidates are Drausus and Tom Johnson. Do we have any other Nominations?"
