Welcome to Pax!

Pax, at it's simplest, is a roleplaying site. Not one where every story stands by itself, and one where every setting takes place somewhere else; The idea around Pax is that it's a single, brand new world, where the world's inhabitants come from anywhere or anywhen you want, from any setting, or world, or even a fanfic of some kind, if you really wanted to.
What is Roleplaying?
Basically, roleplaying is where each person adds on to the previous person's post, by including their character's thoughts, actions, and responses, furthering the plot and advancing the story.
When one person posts about their character, Tannis, a middle-aged inventor with three children;
<blockquote class='quote_blockquote'><dl><dt>Quote:</dt><dd> </dd></dl><div>Tannis scratched his head, looking out at the field of flowers. Where, oh where, could his daughter have gone?[/quote]
The next person can post with their character, a young door-to-door salesman with magic powers.
<blockquote class='quote_blockquote'><dl><dt>Quote:</dt><dd> </dd></dl><div>A knock at the door signaled someone was there. Jasmine stood there with a vacuum behind her back. They were going to sell this thing no matter what it took.[/quote]
And then, if there's nobody else involved, the first user can post again.
<blockquote class='quote_blockquote'><dl><dt>Quote:</dt><dd> </dd></dl><div>The door opened, and the first words out of Tannis's mouth was "Help me find my daughter! I'll give you whatever you want!"[/quote]
And then they can go on an escapade wherein Tannis's daughter is found playing with wolf puppies, and then Jasmine finally sells a vacuum to somebody. Roleplaying usually has longer posts than this, but this was just an example.
Essentially, what I'm trying to say despite all of this meandering and rambling, is Welcome to Pax; I hope you have a good time.
