The Unexplained
Well guys, since it's getting pretty close to Halloween, I thought we might as well gather around and share some real life experiences that were... well, unexplained. Just a little something to get into the festive mood.
Ok, so for me, I had the weird fortune of experiencing what might be the creepiest moment in several years just a few days ago.
On Monday, my friend had just moved into a new house, and had invited me, my best friend and his girlfriend over for a little housewarming dinner. We drove around for a while, eventually finding the place and pulling up against the curb, gathering our various materials. I had just finished locking my car, when I saw my best friend stopped up the sidewalk in front of the house. I joined him, and saw what he was staring at- a totally wrecked vehicle.
Being teenage boys as we are, we glanced it over, checking out all the damage. This thing was seriously smashed. The front end was bent all the way up, and the inside was ruined, all the airbags deployed, and the seats covered in debris. We ran out fingers over the shattered windshield, which sadly seemed like it had been broken from the inside out, by some poor chap not wearing his seatbelt.
After that we joined our friend, had dinner and played video games. After coming home, I found out from my sister that I left my cell at his house and would have to go back.
Soon enough, Tuesday evening came around and I once again drove the way to my friend's new house. I parked in nearly the exact same place, and began to walk up his sidewalk when I noticed his neighbour, a extremely old looking lady, standing on her porch and calling out for something. I walked slower, watching her out of curiosity, and a bit of concern. Here In Canada, it gets cold. Very cold. And on the night in question it was nearly -20 degrees, and this lady really didn't seem equipped for the weather.
I stood around, halfway up my friend's walk, watching her through a gap in the trees. Eventually, she noticed me and politely asked if I could come over and help her. Thinking her cat had probably just got into the tree, I walked the short distance and asked her what was wrong. She mentioned something along the lines of "What is that there?" and of course, pointed behind me, right at the smashed car from before.
I moved back down the walk and once again give it a quick glance through. Eventually, I walked back up to her and explained the car was heavily damaged, but empty. She remained quiet, staring past me.
I moved closer, repeating myself, and she looked down, said alright, but begged me to check again, mentioning something about her husband and heart attacks that I didn't quite catch. I nodded, hoping to finish this and get her and myself out of the cold, and once again glanced over the car, more thoroughly this time. Everything inside and out was broken, so I sighed, and started to explain about the state of the car when she told me to check the seats.
"What?" I said, confused. I had just checked them twice, what was I going to see other than more broken glass?
She begged me again, so I quickly turned, looked at it, then turned back, more sturdily explaining there was nothing here.
She stared ahead, but then slowly began to turn back inside.
"Oh, okay...thank you for your help, then" She said, closing the door.
"I've been watching the man in there, and just wanted to make sure he was alright."
---
Yeah, I was pretty creeped out. For one, this car seriously looked like people had died in it, at the creepy 90 year old lady standing on the porch said she was watching someone sit in it? Not my cup of tea.
So gang, now I ask you, what has happened in your life that's just plain spooky? Share your stories below, I look forward to reading them!

One time I picked up my cellphone, and instantly I got a text. It was spooky, like I had powers or something.
My life is pretty boring, actually. D: Nothin' spooky here.

Hmm, spooky. Let's see, i have a few... I know.
I, my partner and some friends interested in pretty much what we're talking about now arranged to meet in a haunted pub called The Old Salutation Inn, along with a few people whom I had never met before.
As the conversation kicked into swing, a young man came and sat down with us. I thought he was a part of the other group and waited for someone to introduce him, but he seemed content just to sit there with a pint in his hands and listen. Since that's what I tend to do I just left him to it. He was Caucasian, slim, about 6 foot tall with short black hair that curled outwards at the tips, he was wearing black clothing with a leather jacket and leather boots.
Eventually we decided to leave and go visit the castle. The guy came with us, but after two streets he'd walked off. Now here's the spooky part: only a minute or two afterwards one of the group mentioned the feeling that we were missing someone, and another did a head count, confidently declaring everyone was still there.
I pointed out that he'd missed the guy who'd walked off, at which point they all asked 'what guy?'
So I explained he'd joined us earlier, been silent, and that I'd originally thought was from the second group. Nobody else had seen him, just me. I even backtracked to look down the street he'd started walking down when he left-and it was empty.
So, everybody knew someone had been with us and had left, but I was the only one who saw anyone. Freaky right?
EDIT: Oh, and just in case you're wondering The Old Sals two 'main' ghosts are a little girl who's fond of hiding things, whom they call 'Rosie', and the thing in the caves underneath the pub that shows up and terrifies miners and constructim workers every time they disturb the rock.
Btw CP, doer the road you saw that car on have a histosy?

Paranormal stuff never happens to me, though I do seem to have terrible luck. For example, the one day I forgot my phone is the one day I actually needed it, it was kind of an emergency -_-; And when I say something isn't going to happen, I inadvertently make it happen.

Isn't that, kind of like, reverse precognition? XD
Well, I have another one for you guys that happened to me last night. It's not quite as detailed as the last one but still unexplained.
Well, last night I and my partner moved the kingsize mattress from the bedroom to the living room (as it's currently almost as cold as outside in there, the under-neighbours had their tv on loud and I'm currently recovering from a flu like illness) so we could sleep on the floor in there instead. Of course he starts talking to me about ghosts before we turned off the lights, so I was mildly freaked out already.
Then he starts freaking out over something in the corner of the room, saying he heard a noise like a whine and this thing kinda looks like the silhouette of a puppy. I can't see anything as I'm on the left and he's on the right side of the bed though, so I prop myself up on my arm and use my phone to shine a light over there. The puppy shape just turned out to be my slipper boots, so of course we both relaxed.
Just a few seconds after that, of course, something taps me on my shoulder through the quilt. Quite solid and forceful it was too, so much so that I could still feel where the finger had touched me ten minutes later. It made me jump, cry out and cling on to my partner simultaneously, and he assured me that he hadn't done it (he still does). After calming down I turned over to look behind me, and there was nothing there. Just a chair, a bookcase and a bag of documents.
That's the first time I've ever been touched by something unexplainable. It's also the first time I've been that freaked out in a long time.

What I mean is what do you mean by shooting star? Was it a long streak like a meteorite or did it move slower than that and was more of an orange moving flickering ball? Like a chinese lantern?
The Unexplained
it had a long streak like but wasn't flickering as I said it looked like a shooting star and it was fast too

Hmm, well either you saw lightning transfer from one cloud to another (which is pretty cool) or you did see something strange, which is also pretty cool

I've started covering myself by mentioning all the possible outcomes in a conversation now, just in case. It probably sounds odd :'D

Well, uh, just the other day I did a tarot card reading for this lady, and the reading was all about her relationship; And the card for 'near future' is 'death'. So then her and her significant other broke up, yesterday. So, here's the question; Was it true divination?

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but'
Tav, did you know anything about the lady before you did the reading?
But that's not the but, this is...
Apparently my workplace is haunted .
I'd say more, but I'm on the phone atm. I'll tell the stories I heard later.
Probably Wednesday
