Staring blankly at the pony, he took a couple steps back.
“My body parts are my body parts. Not yours.” He huffed stubbornly, starting to act like a child himself.
He was about to speak again, but then let Melu finish. Then, he tried to speak again, but then someone new showed up. Asking just about the same thing he was moments ago. That’s when he realized he didn’t get the answer he was looking for when asking the last time. Feeling ignored and un-important he crossed his arms, choosing not to talk to the people anymore and just listen. He had no answers to give anyways.

Athena snarled. "I'll be back later." She said. "Hopefully after my headache fades."

Then she gripped her staff in both hands, and then shimmered into nothingness.

Snow drifted down from the cold and dark skies of Kata, heavy flakes drifting down and joining the masses. Everything was still, frozen as thick as the ice that adorned the area.

And then, suddenly, a flash.

It was the only light that had ever touched this area. Magnificent and Vivid. Painfully Brief.

And then it was over, leaving a shivering form hunched over in it's place. The rapidly freezing figure seemed to shift, trying to keep as much of itself warm as possible, despite the futility imposed by the nasty weather.

It was going to be a long night....

Back with the group on Ana, the pony glanced around, unable to concentrate in all the racket. And then it saw something.

The dragon.

The scarf-pony knew that most dragons tend to breathe fire when angry, and that dragon definitely looked angry.

The other voice inside him piped up, frightened.

"What's going on? Is anyone gonna help-AHH!" Motley's cry for help was interrupted as the equine scarf reared up, let out an irritated neigh, and galloped off at full speed. It would not go too far, however, since it did not want to leave the pretty people, just far enough to get away from all the ruckus.

Today was just not Motley's day. Then again, no day ever was.

Her leer growing ever wider, Faya watched the... horse... retreat. "Hehehe, he's running like the King did when he saw the Darkness coming. Wet his pants, he did." She said cheerfully, fingering the butcher knife stuck lazily through her belt. Her eyes brightened when a sudden thought stuck her. "Say, you haven't seen Darkness have you? Been looking for him since I got here. You know, fifty feet tall, black, eight wings? Pretty distinctive guy, you can't miss him. " She cast a glance around, her wild eyes resting on every face in the vicinity. "Even more distinctive than you lot."
Letting out a high-pitched whine, Waffles slapped a pawe to his muzzle. Faya had tactlessly insulted her companions, again.

Furnace simply bared his long, sharp fangs at Athenas insults, but before he could retort with one of his own she'd already had a go at the horse... thing and then disappeared in a shimmer of air. He snorted, black smoke leaving his nostrils in a dark cloud, eyeing the group with a combination of wariness and disgust. The disgust increased as one of the only interesting creatures around galloped away in what looked very much like fright, so the Dark Fire Dragon pulled his lips back into a snarl. However, then another person spoke and piqued his curiosity slightly, but he was Furnace. He was the moody teenager of his kind, and he was definitely not nice.
"Bah. Why is everywhere I go full of rude, pathetic little soft-skins?" He muttered, though he was quite aware everyone could hear "I don't suppose anyone knows how we got here, where here is or how to leave? Preferably to somewhere dark and warm"

Athena shimmered back into being, calmer and more relaxed then she had been but a few moments before. She looked up to the dragon. "I apologize for my impolite behavior from earlier." She said, looking him in the eyes. "My name is Athena."

"Hrrrrrrmm" Furnace rumbled from deep within his chest, regarding Athena intently. She certainly had some guts to look him in the eye and apologise. He lowered his head to her "I suppose that is acceptable. I am Furnace, a Dark Fire Dragon. Where is this? It does not smell as familiar as you" the young mythical beast ran a thin tongue over sharp teeth, before flicking his head to indicate Markus "or him. You both smell of Blackstar"

Athena sighed. "I don't know where we are." She said. "But, when I left, I went into the past so I could ease my headache. But, I arrived in the void." She relaxed, loosening her staff.

"Which means that this world has only existed for less than an hour."

Lutha was always telling Melu to be polite and wait until people stopped speaking. The doppelganger child, however, was noticing a common trend right now. More and more things were just popping up. Some of them looked pretty neat, especially the dragon. It looked just like the one in her brother's silly magic books that he always yelled at her for putting flowers in. At any rate, Melu quickly realized that being a good big girl was not going to make this day any less boring.

Had none of these grownups ever heard of fun?! They were just standing around and talking and talking and talking. She wanted to do something fun. Something like hide and seek. Yeah, that was a fun idea. Maybe she could get them to all stop being so boring if she suggested that. What if they didn't speak Commons, though? That would be a bit of a problem.

As the cookie mage and dragon conversed about stupid things that Melu didn't pay any attention to, the girl tried to come up with a solution to this possible problem.

Wait. Hadn't Mama always said that, if she was in trouble and couldn't talk to the people around her, she should use her telepathy to ask for help? Seeing as she was practically being bored to death here by all the big people, Melu could not help but think of this as trouble. First, though, she would need everyone's attention. Pulling out The Rape Whistle, Melu sucked as much air as she could manage into her little lungs.

FFFFWEEEEEEEEET!

That was a pretty good and loud noise. Good job, Melu, she told herself, beaming at how loud she had gotten her whistle. Now, to force her own words into the heads of those around her.

Everyone, you're being really, really, really, really booooring. I wanna do something fun! Let's play hide and seek!

Markus was highly bewildered by the situation. He just stood there and tried to take it all in. Something, or someone, had whisked him away. Not just him from the looks of it. Whatever was happening he had a nasty feeling he was in for a long, long ride.
"...So" Markus said quietly "Are there any signs of civilisation around?"
He wasn't sure he was heard, he didn't even care. He thought he heard someone say something about hide and seek, he wasn't sure. He wasn't sure of much right now.

"Damn I need a stiff drink."

Faya, who had been staring at the blue guy wondering if he was the same colour on the inside, decided that these people obviously hadn't seen anything with eight wings and started growing bored of the conversation. Weird horses, blue people and pubescent dragons were all very well, but if they couldn't point to her where she wanted to go, she would just have to find it herself. Whistling some strange tune to herself, she unsheathed her massive claymore and started polishing it with great enthusiasm. The hilt was caked with blood.

"There aren't any signs of civilization for pretty much anywhere. No smoke from fires, no satellites. . ." She said to Markus, trailing off as an idea sprung into her mind.

Athena raised her voice.

"Okay, people, we need to build a shelter for the night, one large enough to contain all of us."

She looked over to the dragon. "Would you mind starting to dig a hole for us? As the largest and strongest, and, not to mention, the most majestic of us, you would be the most help if you did so." She said, trying to flatter the dragon into complying. "Not to mention, it'd be dark and warm."

Furnace bobbed his head once after Athenas explanation that the world was less than an hour old. It didn't explain very much, but it was a littke interesting. The very world on which everyone was standing was younger than any of them, even the short lived soft-skins

FFFFWEEEEEEEEET!

Furnaces ears went down at the irritating noise created by the hatchling, and a low growl escaped as he felt telepathic words force themselves into his head. It wasn't exactly hard to figure out where they came from, and he was quick to send his own private telepathic message back.~Do that again~ his mind-voice dripped with both malice and promise ~and I will eat you~

Then the only other familiar scented person spoke about wanting a stiff drink, whatever that was, hopefully not water... or alcohol, not after the last incident, and the one who spoke of interesting creatures began polishing a wonderfully blood caked blade.

Athena spoke again, about making a shelter for the night for everyone, the reptilian swished his tail uneasily, marring the ground with the long spikes at the end of it. Though he loathed the word 'help' and, being quite a selfish creature, he did not see why he should when they hadn't done anything for him, the gutsy female had quickly learned to push his buttons the right way. Plus, he would get he wanted, which appealed to him greatly. "Flattery will get you everywhere" he replied, grinning a toothy, draconic grin "but if anyone shines a light near my eyes there'll be trouble"

With that, he set about digging.

Athena nodded to the dragon, as it started digging. ~Dragons actually can be useful, if you tickle their ego enough.~
She focused on her staff, gripped it tightly, and then time froze as she slipped out of phase.

She needed time to think.

~~~
Athena jittered slightly, slipping back into phase as if she never left in the first place. She then turned to Markus. "You seem to be one of the more reasonable people here. Would you mind taking care of that little girl? Entertaining her?" She looked him up and down; ~Probably a mercenary of some sort.~ "I'll pay you, if you do it." She added. ~I wonder where I'll get the money. . .Bah, I'll deal with it later.~
Next. . .They'd need wood.
Turning to the girl with the claymore, she cleared her throat. "Hey there. You up for a little bet? I bet, with that cool sword you have, you can't cut down twenty trees in twenty minutes. If you can, You'll get a prize!"
