The Beginning
The Beginning
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" Markus thought "But unless you REALLY like dirt, I'm gonna guess the flowers over there..."
Markus wandered over to the nearest bunch of flowers and pointed his crossbow at them.
"Up. Now."

The Beginning
Melu looked up, clutching her flower hat. He wasn't as bad at this as he could be. The thing he held was interesting. Hadn't she seen something like it before? It was a...what was it? She knew this.
Getting to her feet, the flower construction still in her hands, Melu found her eyes drawn to the weird construction that the man held.
No time like the present to find out what it was, though.
Stretching her already flower-filled hands up towards the weird item, Melu found that her height was somewhat lacking. The item was just out of her reach.
"What is it?! I wanna see it! Let me hold it, please!"
The small girl pushed herself up onto the balls of her feet, trying to snatch the thing out of the man's hands.

"This?" Markus replied? "Why this is a crossbow. It does this."
Markus fired a bolt into a nearby tree. It embedded itself into the thick trunk, cracking the wood around it.
"You don't wanna get in the way of this. Ever. Now come with me, we've hunting to do."

The Beginning
What an impressive thing...crossbow. Yeah, crossbow. Melu thought back to the time she had spent on the Airship Whatever It Was Called. Hadn't that nice man who gave her The Rape Whistle been talking about the weird sticks he had being like better crossbows? She thought she remembered something about that. Of course, it hadn't been very interesting, so, the amount of attention she paid to it was limited.
"Waaaait! First, you have to put on your hat."
Melu held up the flower hat she had been working on. He had found her first after all.

"I already have a hat, and it's not coming off." Markus replied with a stern firmness.
He wandered over towards something that resembled a forest in these open plains, hoping to find something to eat.
"Come on!"

Melu remained where she had been standing, her face scrunched up in a pout.
"No. You hafta put on your hat first."
As she spoke, her little hands clenched up into fists and her eyes started to fill up with angry tears. A few petals of the flowers the hat was made of wafted back down into the flower patch as she tightened her grip on the hat.

"..."
Markus took the hat somewhat roughly and jammed it over his current hat.
"Happy now?" Markus snapped.

Melu looked up, her tears stopping, and looked up at her handiwork. The two additional flowers, sticking up out of the middle area like antennas, were a nice touch, she decided. She would have to do that more in the future.
"Uh-huh..."
She nodded her head as she spoke, feeling much better now that her had had been accepted.
"Are we going to hunt cookies? I like cookies."

"Cookies, sure why not..."
Markus on the other hand was solely on the look out for small woodland animals. Maybe a rabbit.

"I'm going to catch a nut cookie! They're the kind Mama makes. They are the very most tastiest things ever. Do you like cookies? I have an extra one."
Melu rummaged through her bag, trying to find the cookies she had been carrying around ever since she left the old house. That nice cookie mage had turned them back into cookies for her, which made her really happy. Selecting one of the lumpier ones from her collection of deliciousness, Melu held it up to the man.
"This is for you."

"Errm, thanks." Markus said slowly, as he took the cookie. He pocketed it for later.
After slowly walking through the forest for a short while Markus thought he'd heard something in the undergrowth. And he had, a small funny creature vaguely resembling a rabbit, but with feathers instead of fur, and slightly larger. Bizzare indeed, but it was food. He hoped. He took aim and waited till his shot was clear. Then he fired.
The bolt flew straight and true, right into the creatures side. It collapsed to the ground, and Markus drew out a small knife to finish it off. After he was done, the strung it up, and returned to the girl.
"Right, I've got my food for tonight, lets go."

The Beginning
Back in the realm of dreams, Mimas smiled at the cute blob.
"Blackstar? Eaten by something?" Mimas scratched the side of her face in confusion.
"I don't believe so. I'm from the world of Altairna. And as for what I am, I am the goddess of fertility for said world. And no... I'm not the slutty kind." She assured, puffing her cheeks indignantly.
"I control the weather. Or at least, I did, back when I was somewhere where there even was weather."

The Beginning
"Yes! Eaten by The Goos! The all consumers! The blobs of DOOOM!"
The little blob was clearly freaking out about something, but upon seeing the confused look upon the woman's face he relaxed a bit. There was no sense trying to explain it to her, she wasn't even from the same world. Plus, they had more pressing concerns to deal with at the moment.
The woman had explained she was a "Goddess of Fertility" for some world. That really didn't clear much up, and unfortunately posed even more questions. For one, why were they here?
...Well... of course, the clone was asleep, and "here" currently was his dream, which made the interaction even stranger. At least he belonged...
Also, what was she talking about no weather? Back on the planet, he was freezing for the Dojo's sake! ..then again, at least for right now, they were in a dream...perhaps this lady didn't...know?
Ugh, it screwed with the clone's mind to ponder these things.
"Look...uh...Ok. So..." the little blob paused, trying to figure out how he could explain his and her predicament. "Ok...Uhm...I woke up on this weird planet right? It was very cold and stuff, so I like went to sleep and I know you aren't supposed to like do that, but when I did, you were here. So, I don't really know why you are in my dream, unless you really are just my dream, which would make this conversation kinda useless."
The little alien sighed after he finished his speech. He just couldn't dismiss the thought that she seemed...something else.
"Look...uh...If you are really what you say then maybe...when we came here you lost your physical form? It..kinda makes sense." CP stopped again, thinking hard. "If that's the case, the immortals back on my world used water droplets and stuff in the air to show up. Perhaps you could like...come back with me and use that to get yourself a body? I don't know how that kind of stuff works, but if you really control the weather, I am in desperate need of your help."

The Beginning
"As far as I know, I'm not just part of a dream. Well. I certainly hope not." She hummed as she thought. "Maybe I did lose my physical form... Which would be a shame. What if it's still there on my world, limp and useless?"
What if someone found her like that and thought she was dead? A goddess, dead? It's just not done. What if all her doting worshipers stopped their prayers, thinking she had left them? Oh, now she panicked.
"If you can get me back into a physical form," She began proposing her offer, "I would be more than happy to help you in whatever way you need."

The Beginning
((Since Furnace has probably gone to sleep and won't be waking up anytime soon, I feel the need to introduce a second char.
Also no profile this time-yet, as those of you who know will know and those who don't it'll be something of a surprise ))
Another bright flash of light appeared from nowhere, clearly, yet another being had just been stolen from another world... or maybe it had failed to get a hold of anything this time, for what fell out of the flash of light appeared to be nothing. Unless of course you looked really, really closely, as a female shaped imprint was left on the grass where the flash had been moments before.
This being got up, it's silhouette for the barest of seconds holding the grassy plain on it before it's natural camouflage compensated, rendering it invisible once more.
With silent footsteps, it stealthily made it's way towards the two closest people to it's entry point-the mercenary and the little girl.
Of course, nobody no matter how stealthy could prevent blades of grass from bending under their feet.
