Ehhh maybe. Humanity sure does do some horrific things too .
I've been playing a game called Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor recently. It is very cool. I actually have to summon and make contracts with demons to survive in it .. Of course the reason I need to survive in the first place is that humans give in to their base instincts out of fear of demons. It's quite fun, and the duality is interesting. On both the good and evil side there are both humans and demons-and that's just the simplified ideals of it.
I've also been asked if I'm French, Portuguese and Polish before-and there was one time where a guy told me 'You're obviously not from here. You definitely don't sound like you are'
Coming from where I live, I wouldn't be surprised we're simply more cultured than the rest. It's just coming out in our accents, being more varied than the norm.
Seriously though, everyone in this town just drinks, screws and works - or goes to school. That's it. Thank god for the internet.
Raven's more than likely right though. Here eveyone goes to unimaginative clubs and pubs most of the time. Lucky there are still some bastions against that sort of thing. Though their numbers have dropped recently
Here it's literally every generation, from the twelve-year olds drinking cans down by the river to the grandparents going down to the older people's pubs. I live in the centre of town - there's eleven pubs within five minutes of my house. Eleven. I live in a tiny little town, and ELEVEN pubs manage to survive when the book store - the ONLY book store - is closing down unless they get more business.
I got Netflix a couple months ago. It's brilliant! I've found a bunch of great films on it. I recommend the Chinese live-action version of Mulan. It's epic.
I've found that alcohol just destroys my inhibitions and I become an idiot. It's not a nice feeling, honestly. Not to mention all the things you think are a wonderful idea... and then turn out to really, really not be. Such as the idea that you should always drink MORE. xD
XD lol Raven. I become all philosophical when I'm drunk and then fall asleep shortly afterwards. I know this because I was recorded going on a whole half an hour rant about everything from politics to religion to GMO to the weather to the monetary system. Gods know how I brought all those topics into one thing.
Ohhhhh I see Borg, ok, I can relate to that. That's something I suffer from when we have the full series of something. Just one more episode... XD. Haven't found the cure for it yet though. Tell me if you find it?
