"Damn." Aja said breathlessly. "It's super pretty." She watched the flags as they shimmered proudly. She wondered how long it took to build the sacred place. She shielded her eyes from the blinding sun that watched over the temple.

"Pretty? I suppose." Ariel said, brushing some bangs to the side

"However, we won't get any help out here. Let us get in and see who is here today."

With that, Ariel enters through one of the doors and announces loudly "I'm Home!" to whoever was inside

Outside the Temple of Insanity as they walked up, a young girl came into view who couldn't have been much more than eighteen years old. Her long brown hair cascaded over the bright, iridescent scales of the teenage Dragon that was her constant companion, the pair of them happily lying relaxed in the sun, the girls brown eyes and the Dragons blue half closed as they were beginning to doze.

As she walked along with the goddess she spotted a girl with long hair and a dragon. Her eyes widened and her eyebrows raised as they lounged in the flashy sun. Aja put up her hood, black against pale skin, and continued to watch, somewhat fascinated.

Ariel turned back when she noticed her companion was not following. Stepping back outside, she asked,

"You act surprised. Have....you never seen a dragon before? If not - well, your time here will be fun."

"I don't doubt that." She chuckled a little before tearing her gaze finally from the dragon. Aja then removed her smile hurriedly.

The girl blinked and she looked up when she finally noticed the new person had been staring at them, nudging her iridescent companion awake with her elbow as she too got up from her doze. With a rather wide smile on her face the teen ran at the Goddess to give her a big hug, watched by an attentive Dragon. "Godmother! It's so good to see you!"

Closely followed by the exclamation of "Oh hello there" to the new person "My name is Jinx and that's Bill" here she pointed at the Dragon behind her "Who are you?"

"Aja. Nice to meet you." She responded, her voice curious but sly, as it was when she first met the goddess. Aja eyed Bill, still fascinated by the likes of the dragon. Her hood covered her eyes slightly, but they were still visible, Silver and snakelike. She wondered how the girl could be so happy in a world so harsh.

"Yes. Jinx is - if you can forgive the pun - my Goddaughter. She was conceived and born in this temple. She also has an affinity for time travel I'm not fond of, unfortunately" Ariel noted

"Time travel!?" Aja asked in bewilderment. Time travel... That sounded incredible. "How can you not be fond of that?"

"Nice to meet you too Aja. You have a nice name" Jinx beamed before she went rather red at Ariels nonchalant explanation of why she was her Goddaughter, mumbling something about 'Not needing to tell everyone exactly' as Bill got up and walked over to them, nudging Jinx with his his large muzzle before lowering it to sniff at Aja curiously.

"Time travel is... complicated" Jinx added.

"Sounds it." Aja eyes the dragon with a look of menace. She ignored the comment about her name rudely. She still thought the girl was way too happy about life, and so decided if needed she would use her disadvantages to her advantage, if needed, in the future.

She had been raised in this place, was a start.

The young iridescent Dragon noticed the look and bared his fangs at the woman, stepping back one pace with a low, warning growl rumbling in his throat. The beast was rather sensitive to that sort of behaviour, and protective of his lifelong companion.

"Bill!" Jinx said with some concern at his sudden change in behaviour "Come on, she's new. Give her a break"

Bill stared, snorted, and then lumbered over to curl himself part way around Jinx, one wing lowered as if to hug her.

"Sorry about that" Jinx apologised, one arm behind her head uncertainly "I hope he didn't scare you"
